Becoming a God Starts with Acting
Chapter 504: [Crimson Inheritance] (23)
Silvanus stopped. The moment he turned around, he saw the lost and absent-minded look on Nick’s face.
Nick was truly easy to manipulate—far easier than he had expected.
An utterly ridiculous script had somehow succeeded in making Nick silently submit and follow him, as though everything had always been meant to be that way.
Silvanus couldn’t even understand the way Nick’s mind worked, but since everything had gone smoothly, he certainly wasn’t complaining.
He took his own life seriously, which meant he would also take the information he possessed seriously. If Nick had become his believer, then he had to ensure Nick’s survival as well.
Cruel and indifferent toward outsiders, yet hopelessly biased toward those he chose. Even if he could be strange at times, he would never truly harm his believers.
That would be Erebus.
Under Silvanus’s unwavering gaze, Nick couldn’t help but stiffen.
What now? Had he done something to displease Silvanus again?
"I’m hungry," Silvanus said, his lips moving slightly. "Weren’t you the one who came out here looking for food?"
Only then did Nick notice the raspberry bush in front of them. He hurried over and quickly began picking berries.
Silvanus watched him with a faint smile and said casually, "If you want to serve me, you still have a lot to learn."
Nick wanted to argue. He didn’t want to serve Silvanus at all. He wanted to be friends—friends!
Besides, he was a young master from a wealthy family. When had he ever served anyone before?
But in the end, he remained silent.
[The domineering husband and his long-suffering wife.]
[Why not the useless husband and his princess instead?]
[What era are we living in that people still support toxic relationships like this?!]
[Has the comment section completely lost its mind too?]
[You guys are even more committed to the act than Silvanus.]
[It’s entertaining, hahaha.]
[Silvanus is definitely getting dragged off to see Daisy again today. Let’s see how he handles it.]
[I have a feeling Daisy’s going to kill him. An entire night has passed, and all he’s done is train a dog.]
While the viewers continued their discussion, Nick had already picked a huge pile of raspberries—so many that even the front of his shirt was barely able to hold them all.
Although they couldn’t serve as a proper meal, the raspberries could at least keep them from starving in this place—or, at the very least, save them from having to eat snow.
"Let’s go."
Silvanus let out a yawn before giving the order.
Nick immediately snapped out of his thoughts and hurried after him.
Looking at Silvanus’s tall, upright figure from behind, he couldn’t help but ask with concern, "Aren’t you going to eat some first? They’re really sweet..."
Silvanus shot him a cold look.
"She hasn’t eaten yet. How could I possibly eat before she does?"
Who is "she"? Nick wondered.
But he didn’t ask further. He had a feeling he would learn the girl’s identity soon enough.
Meanwhile, the viewers had also picked up on the strange atmosphere.
[Don’t tell me Silvanus is planning to find Daisy.]
[That thing’s disgusting appearance is going to kill me.]
[I actually think Daisy has her own unique charm. Am I the only one?]
[Is he trying to get himself killed?]
[Interesting.]
Amid the audience’s excitement, Silvanus and Nick finally returned to the castle.
The castle was deserted and devoid of any sign of life.
Leading Nick upstairs, Silvanus walked down the second-floor corridor and pushed open the door to the shared bathroom with remarkable familiarity, as though he had done it countless times before.
In reality, however, this was merely a test.
He wanted to see whether spending enough time in the bathroom would allow him to enter that strange space again. The condition itself was admittedly rather bizarre. Could there be some reason Daisy was so fond of bathrooms?
Nick looked at the raspberries bundled in his shirt and then at the bathroom in front of him.
No matter how dense he might be, he could tell by now that the "she" Silvanus kept referring to was definitely not a living person.
He swallowed nervously. In the end, he squeezed his eyes shut and marched forward with the determination of someone who had given up caring about the consequences.
Click!
The door suddenly slammed shut behind them.
Nick instinctively took a deep breath, only to be overwhelmed by the smell inside. He immediately doubled over, coughing violently.
"How foolish."
Silvanus spoke casually, utterly unconcerned.
His expression remained perfectly calm, as though he couldn’t smell anything unusual at all.
Nick couldn’t help rolling his eyes inwardly as his thoughts raced.
The bathroom attached to their room had been perfectly clean, so why was the shared bathroom outside in such a horrifying state?
Just looking at the slippery patches of green moss spreading across the floor and the murky liquid pooled everywhere, slowly turning into slime, was enough to make his expression change several more times.
"Silvanus, should we...?" Nick muttered.
But at that moment, a familiar sound suddenly echoed through the room.
He recognized it immediately.
It was the same sound he had once described to Silvanus—the sound of something slithering through water like a snake.
At the same time, everything before them flashed crimson.
This transformation happened even faster than the last one.
[Special Dungeon Activated. Hunting Time Remaining: 15 Minutes!]
What the hell?!
The blood-red warning floating above his head nearly made Nick scream in despair.
But before he could, Silvanus shoved him hard in the back.
Nick stumbled forward, nearly falling flat on his face. All he caught was Silvanus’s figure darting past him without a moment’s hesitation.
What the hell...?
Instinctively, Nick turned around.
The sight that greeted him was a mass of hair that, in the blink of an eye, had filled the entire bathroom.
"Shit!!!"
He shouted and immediately sprinted after Silvanus as if his life depended on it.
A few minutes earlier—
The moment Silvanus sensed the shift in space, he acted almost instantly according to his plan.
He wanted to use some of the energy he had gathered.
Right now.
On his speed.
All it took was a single thought...
Silvanus’s eyes flew open.
For an instant, golden light seemed to flicker within those emerald-green eyes.
His body shot forward at an unimaginable speed, propelled by nothing more than his will!
No—not entirely by his will.
He couldn’t completely control himself.
He slammed into Nick on the way, and then struggled with all his might to remain calm enough to make a perfect turn into his own room instead of continuing straight ahead uncontrollably.
Bang!
His hands crashed down onto the drawer.
The impact was so powerful that dust exploded into the air. The force of the collision made Silvanus’s entire body tremble.
Pain shot through him as though every bone in his hands had shattered.
Silvanus’s eyes widened.
He parted his lips and gasped for breath.
Yet he didn’t slow down in the slightest.
Quickly, he stored the diary inside the God Realm.
The objective of this trip had been accomplished.
What came next...
...would be another performance.
Clenching his hands—now so red they looked ready to bleed at any moment—Silvanus waited for his "beloved".
