Chapter 53: Pill concoting (1)

Darius suddenly stopped and added, his face expressionless as usual since he was back here," Any, go back and bring me a set of these ingredients. Just ask for Harley and he would galdly give you everything you need free of charge.

When Any heard this, her eyes lit up and she immediatly sped back towards the inner city center, not caring about the fact that only now did Darius remember this. She found this as oppurnity to get closer and would not miss it.

’A follower, who wouldn’t want to if its ths mysterious pavilion owner,’ Grinning inwardly, Any couldn’t imagine her big brother’s reaction if he told her about all of this, her ego amplifying each time she thought about it.

The alchemical pill that Darius wanted to concoct was named the "Little Cloud and Water Pill". Taking this pill would greatly increase the cultivation speed of a cultivator in True Qi Realm. While this pill could be bought, the medicinal effects were too poor.

Darius had taken one earlier for a test as he was conversing with Gabriel, and it was at most only half as good as the one he believed he could concoct. He wasn’t exaggerating, the system arrogance won’t allow his products to be anything less than what’s around him and he kenw this much.

You can do a lot of things if you have enough money but unfortuely his funds aren’t that great so he can’t get them as he pleases and even though Gabriel would be willing, Darius disliked favors so once or twice is fine but repeatdly? Even the system might interject.

Any very quickly returned with the medicinal ingredients Darius had requested, swiftly and after seeing the door of the pavilion slightly creaked, she didn’t stand on ceremony and entered while trying to locate Darius.

"I’m up here, bring them to the first door on your left," Darius yelled, hearing the girl stomping her foot on floor, not willing to yell. He then quickly brushed away all disturbing thoughts and started focusing on what’s important.

"It’s a bit challenging for a cultivator at the fifth layer of the true qi realm to concoct pills," Darius murmured. Ordinarily, one could only start concocting pills once they reached the seventh layer of the true qi realm, at least. Otherwise, if there was not enough spiritual energy to support the concocting process, one would not be able to continue concocting when they reach the advanced stage of the process. Thus, the result would naturally be failure.

’Looks like I have to simultaneously take Repinislihing Spiritual Pills and concoct the pill.’

He skilfully separated the various ingredients, his hands moving at such an extremely fast pace that Any, who had been standing at the side, felt that her eyes were blurring. Now, she finally believed that Darius knew how to concoct pills and was not just knowledgeable in the theory of alchemy.

Was there anything this guy didn’t know?

Darius forgetting of Any existence and that she yet didn’t leave, threw several medicinal ingredients into the furnace, his mind full concentrated on the process before him. However, he did not dump everything inside. He had only thrown about one third of the ingredients on hand, then his right hand jolted, he gave a snort, and suddenly a flame appeared on his extended palm.

Ignition...this was the basic ability every alchemist should have. It was also why every alchemist needed to have a Fire Alignment Affinity and Darius didn’t only have one... 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Indeed!

The system methods were unfathomble and alongside his already existing affinity which he didn’t know yet, it also gave him Fire Alignment Affinity, or else how would he be able to concot pills even with the inheritance? This also reminded Darius that he should check his affinity when he had time, he truly forgot since his cultivation wasn’t even the stand of cultivation but panel-based.

As Darius procceded, he truly felt a bit of harship despite his vast knowldge. The reason why concocting pills was a difficult task from his understanding from the basic alchemy inheritance, was mainly because it was difficult to control the temperature level.

Should one use firewood to start the fire, it would be very difficult to control the heat level of the flames, let alone achieve the precision required to concoct pills. In theory, the higher the grade of alchemical pill, the stricter the requirements for controlling the fire.

Precision aside, the alchemist also had to be able to stimulate the heat to an extreme level; the alchemist’s cultivation had to be very high to achieve this. Ordinarily speaking, an alchemist should be able to concoct pills that are at most one level higher than his own cultivation level.

For example, for Darius, who was in the True Qi Realm, his limit should be concocting middle-level Tier-1 Grade pills.

However, the primary requirement was the ability to control fire. There were also certain requirements for the heat level, which was why too low a cultivation level would make concocting pills impossible, the minimum being the seventh layer of the True Qi Realm. Darius was only in the fifth layer of the True Qi Realm, and yet he dared to concoct a pill... The reason why he dared to do that lay in his Fire Alignment Element, which the system gave him that was a decent level.

The heat level he could control was not really very high, the maximum level being four hundred Celsius, but it was enough to concoct the Little Cloud and Water Pill.

’It’s worthy of the name "Strongest Pavilion System"–the element it gave him seamesl integrated wit his body witthought the slighest discomfort, and seemingly inexhaustible!’ Darius praised silently. An ordinary Fire Alignment Affinity in the True Qi Realm would only be able to release flames that could reach a maximum temperature of two hundred degrees Celsius. Even he who had had a pure Fire Alignment Affinity was no different.

It was indeed worthy of the name of Strongest Pavilion System!
