However, Lin Beichen did not develop any thoughts of pity.

"I know you’re here, I’ve been trapped here for so long, please help me out, I’m, I’m scared..." Just as the woman’s voice faded, Lin Beichen felt a sudden gust of wind coming at him. He quickly dodged and turned to see that the black giant spider had crawled nearby, watching him intently.

As Lin Beichen focused intently on the black giant spider, there were sounds of banging from behind the stone door, as if reminding Lin Beichen not to forget there was someone waiting for his rescue inside.

"Listen up, the one inside the stone door, stay calm. Since I’m already here, I will definitely get you out. But first, I need to deal with the immediate trouble!" Lin Beichen shouted loudly.

Having said that, he suddenly leaped into the air. While airborne, Lin Beichen quickly pulled a talisman paper out of his pocket, using his hands to form symbols, activating the talisman paper with lightning speed.

The talisman paper held between his fingers instantly transformed into a dazzling white light, illuminating the entire pit.

This stream of light, like an arrow, pierced directly through the abdomen of the black giant spider.

After the white light penetrated the abdomen, as it disappeared, Lin Beichen noticed a hole in the giant spider’s abdomen, slowly oozing a light green liquid.

Though he had seen insect blood before, it was usually dark green or deep green.

This light green insect blood was something he had never seen before.

Could it be because it lived in a Feng Shui formation of a dead-end, a place of extreme yin, causing this giant spider’s body to mutate?

Lin Beichen hadn’t had time to delve into this thought when he heard a rustling sound.

The sound did not come from the stone door behind him but from deeper within the pit.

Out of curiosity, Lin Beichen looked in the direction from which the sound came.

However, this glance made his scalp tingle.

Previously, he had witnessed the black flesh worms inside the Eight-Chain Copper Cauldron and thought there couldn’t be anything more disgusting than those swarming worms in this secret chamber.

Yet, after the giant spider’s blood flowed further into the pit, the walls deeper in the pit were crawling with spiders!

Though these spiders weren’t as large as the giant spider he just killed, their numbers were overwhelming.

In the dim light, Lin Beichen noticed there were at least a thousand spiders crawling up the pit wall, moving at high speed, almost reaching the Lotus Platform!

Thinking about this, Lin Beichen quickly stepped to the stone door.

"Are you still in there? Do you know how to open this stone door?" he asked anxiously.

Although Lin Beichen could study the stone door to find a way to open it, time was not on his side to think carefully. He could only hope the person inside the stone door could think of a way too.

If those spiders reach the stone platform, he indeed could kill them, but with such a large number, he couldn’t kill them all.

If it came to that, not only would he fail to save the person behind the door, but he might also find himself trapped.

While speaking, Lin Beichen repeatedly checked below the Lotus Platform, finding the spiders drawing closer, making him more anxious.

"Can you still hear me?" he shouted loudly.

In such a dire environment, Lin Beichen couldn’t understand why those who practiced the Ghost Refining Technique would imprison people here!

However, what he hadn’t anticipated was the once pleading voice suddenly seemed never to exist!

With urgency, Lin Beichen slammed the stone door. "Is anyone there?" he called loudly.

Regardless of how hard he knocked or how loud he shouted, it felt as if his efforts sunk into oblivion, without any response.

In this situation, Lin Beichen couldn’t help but feel deceived. He had put in so much effort, yet it all seemed futile.

Despite this, he did not have any thoughts of giving up. He knew that in this unknown and dangerous environment, he must remain calm and determined to find a sliver of hope.

Lin Beichen marveled inwardly, thinking of how someone could survive beyond the stone door, truly remarkable.

If he couldn’t rescue them in time, their life indeed would be in serious jeopardy.

"Hold on! I’ll find a way to get you out!" Lin Beichen’s voice resonated in the pit, filled with firm resolve.

With that, he began to carefully explore the stone door with his hands, not missing an inch.

Soon, his fingers touched a protruding part. Crouching down, he examined it closely; unexpectedly, the protrusion was a row of Eight Trigrams Diagram, clearly visible.

"Eight Trigrams... Stone Door..." Lin Beichen murmured, his gaze fixed on the mysterious stone door.

He recalled there were no signs on the stone door indicating how to open it; those patterns seemed unrelated to opening the door.

It seemed highly likely this row of Eight Trigrams diagrams was the key to unlocking the stone door! Lin Beichen’s heart lifted with joy as he continued to observe the stone door.
