Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2360: Evan Finds His Way Back
"I guess he’s just clueless," Erin said indifferently.
"That’s how men are. Once they have money, they want to change girlfriends and seek thrills. Even Evan’s no exception. Ultimately, isn’t it you who gave him too much power, elevated his status too high? Who else is to blame but yourself?" Stacy said dismissively. "Think about how considerate he was when he first met you, never straying outside. And now? He’s become like this because you spoiled him."
"A young man, good-looking, wealthy and powerful, will naturally attract women. Isn’t Jasmine Yale one of those women? Are you truly naive or just pretending?"
Stacy spoke convincingly.
"Alright, let’s go. He’s waiting for us outside," Erin didn’t want to hear Stacy’s accusations anymore.
She still had no idea what made her lose to that woman, Jasmine Yale.
How could she lose to a pregnant woman.
The more she thought about it, the more incredible it seemed.
So many men fawned over her, tried to win her favor, pursued her, yet with Sylvan Cheney, she wasn’t even as good as a married pregnant woman.
The mall was brightly lit, while the light outside was somewhat blurry and mysterious.
Street lights flickered, streets bustling with people.
The square was crowded, the timing was just right for night life to begin, the whole city still alive and bustling, far from silent. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
There were many cars parked in the lot, Erin put her things into her red Ferrari sports car.
It was a bit cold outside, the chilly wind blew in waves.
Erin tidied up her disheveled hair, glanced at the moon above, and let out a sigh.
Stacy also drove a sports car, her long hair fluttered in the wind. She leaned on the car door, lit a cigarette, watching her close friend.
"Erin, the shopping today wasn’t satisfying, huh? We barely bought anything and have to go back."
"Exactly, he came to Old York without even telling me, completely treats me like I’m invisible. If I hadn’t seen him at the mall today, I wouldn’t have known he sneaked into Old York," Erin chuckled coldly. "Tell me, what am I to him?"
"A friend?" Stacy scoffed, "I think you’re not even a friend, at least friends have dinners together, sing, race car. What does he do with you? I think all that’s left is just polite formality."
Stacy, as an outsider, always felt she saw things clearer than Erin did.
Clearly, Evan wasn’t into Erin.
But what can be done, Erin likes him.
Love is unpredictable, maybe one day Evan will realize his lost way and wake up again.
Stacy took a drag on her cigarette, blew out white smoke.
The wind blew, messed up her hair.
Erin glanced at her, said plainly, "I’m going back with Evan to meet Dad, I’ll have my assistant drive you home."
"Your assistant looks good, can I sleep with him?" Stacy grinned, mischievously blew smoke toward the young man beside Erin.
"That depends on your own skills then, if you can take him, then do it. If not, no dice." Erin casually opened the car door, "I’m getting in the car, you head back early, we stayed up all night yesterday, sleep early today or you’ll complain about bad skin to me again."
Stacy giggled: "Take care, Erin, hope you have the skills to take down the person you want to sleep with too."
Erin said nothing, sat into the driver’s seat.
Once seated, she called Sylvan Cheney: "Evan, which exit are you at? I’ll come to pick you up."
