Invincible Snake Emperor
Chapter 385 - 381: Summoning Battle Companions
When the beautiful woman saw the transformed Purple Gold Snake, her eyes glinted and she sneered, "No wonder you dared to trespass on the Bai Family’s estate at night. So you do have some strength."
But she looked at Tu Xiao’an as if he were already a dead man.
Trespassing on the Bai Family’s grounds, devouring her Gu Snake, eating the entire cherry tree—each crime was unforgivable.
However, despite her rage, she hadn’t lost her senses. She wanted to ascertain his identity and determine which faction had sent him.
Meanwhile, Tu Xiao’an was secretly thinking, ’She’s a Rank Three Snake Demon? Doesn’t that mean she’s already become a Snake King?’
’A female Snake Demon, no less. But she hasn’t revealed her true form, so I can’t be entirely sure. Still, that cold, sinister aura she’s emitting is definitely that of the Snake Race. There’s no mistaking that.’ 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Tu Xiao’an’s head throbbed. This sudden turn of events had left him baffled and struggling to accept the situation.
"Speak! Who sent you? What is your purpose in coming to the Bai Family?" The beautiful woman’s long hair billowed in the wind, her gorgeous eyes glinting with an icy light.
She could barely contain her murderous intent. As soon as she confirmed his identity, she would strike him down without a shred of mercy.
This was the Bai Family’s estate. How could a mere Snake Spirit dare to trespass? It was tantamount to a death wish.
Still, this Snake Spirit seemed to have some real ability. He had achieved Transformation without attaining the Dao, and he remained perfectly composed under her terrifying aura.
Tu Xiao’an had an ace up his sleeve, so he wasn’t panicking. He simply couldn’t wrap his head around how a mighty Snake Demon could be the ancestral grandmother of a reclusive human family.
’How’d she even manage that?’
"Nobody sent me. I came here for a cat," Tu Xiao’an said, too lazy to be evasive and speaking frankly.
"A cat?" The beautiful woman seemed to understand at once. She glanced at the cage covered by a black cloth inside the room and sneered, "Nonsense. If you were here for the cat, why is it still here, yet you dared to touch my—your Ancestral Grandmother’s—Gu Snake and cherry tree?"
Tu Xiao’an shrugged. "It was late and I got hungry. Just thought I’d have a midnight snack."
The excuse was a stretch, but it was close enough to the truth.
’Is he really just an idiot?’
The beautiful woman knew for a fact that very few people were aware of the Golden Pupils’ existence.
Still, she didn’t quite believe him. But then, a thought seemed to put her at ease: he had trespassed on the Bai Family’s estate and committed a heinous crime. Regardless of his origins or identity, he had to die.
The temperature in the courtyard plummeted, becoming incredibly frigid. The source of this chill wasn’t Tu Xiao’an, but the woman’s Snake Race aura.
Clearly, her Snake Race aura was in no way inferior to that of Tu Xiao’an, the enthroned Snake King. In fact, it might have even been slightly stronger.
"So we’re going to fight, huh? Fine by me. Just hang on a second."
’Wait again?’
The beautiful woman froze. ’What kind of trick is he trying to pull now?’
"Celestial Master Zhang, come out."
Tu Xiao’an sent out a mental command, summoning him directly. Even though the woman had sealed off the surrounding space, it couldn’t stop a summons from his system.
WHOOSH...
A middle-aged man in a Taoist robe materialized out of thin air, a lamb skewer clutched in his hand. The moment he appeared, he looked completely dumbfounded.
’What the hell is going on?’
His opponent was immensely powerful, possibly even at the Demon King Level, so Tu Xiao’an had to take this seriously. He decided to summon his underlings first.
’I do all the fighting myself every time,’ Tu Xiao’an thought. ’My Rank Three subordinates have it way too easy.’
When Tu Xiao’an saw the lamb skewer in Celestial Master Zhang’s hand, he was quite surprised. "Having a midnight snack?"
Seeing Tu Xiao’an, Celestial Master Zhang instantly understood the situation and nodded with a look of resentment.
"Is it good?"
"...Not bad."
"Let me try, then." Shamelessly, Tu Xiao’an snatched the lamb skewer from Celestial Master Zhang’s hand and began stripping the meat off with his teeth.
In the courtyard, the terrifyingly cold aura intensified. The beautiful woman was on the verge of exploding with rage. How dare this Snake Spirit treat her with such utter disregard!
Celestial Master Zhang felt the aura and his expression immediately grew grim. "Demon King Level?"
Tu Xiao’an paused. ’So it really is Demon King Level. Looks like anyone whose stats I can’t read with Insight is a powerhouse of this caliber.’
"Did you summon me here just so we could die together?" A stampede of a thousand curses ran through Celestial Master Zhang’s mind.
The beautiful woman’s gaze was electric. "Summoning a transformed Rank Three Snake Flood Dragon, are we? Interesting. Your Ancestral Grandmother will add it to your tab. You can consider it compensation for my losses."
This was the mark of a true master, a true powerhouse. Not only were they unafraid when you called for backup, they were actually delighted.
"It’s been a long time since your Ancestral Grandmother has stretched her old bones. You two—the Snake and the Flood Dragon—can come at me together." Her cold, beautiful eyes began to shine with excitement.
Her losses were, by all accounts, severe. The Golden Silkworm Gu Snake she had personally raised and her cherry tree had both been shamelessly devoured by this Snake Spirit. But she would make him pay the price.
And what a pleasant surprise—the Snake Spirit had even summoned a Rank Three Snake Flood Dragon. A buy-one-get-one-free deal.
"Wait..."
Tu Xiao’an spoke up again.
Seething with anger, the beautiful woman ground her sharp, slender fangs together. This was becoming unbearable.
"Bull Demon King, get out here!"
WHOOSH...
A corpulent man covered in bulging muscle, wearing nothing but a pair of boxer shorts, materialized out of thin air. When he appeared, he looked even more dumbfounded than Celestial Master Zhang had.
His mind, dazed and confused, was a complete blank.
The Bull Demon King had just carried a young starlet to his bed and was about to strip down for a session of ’loving embraces’ when, in the next instant, he found himself here.
’So cold! It’s freezing here! I almost thought I’d been transported to Antarctica. It’s like the dead of winter; even my powerful physique can barely handle it.’
Tu Xiao’an felt a bit awkward... he had clearly interrupted someone’s good time.
"Master, what are you doing?" the Bull Demon King wailed, on the verge of tears. ’Stuck with a master like this, my life is over,’ he thought.
Tu Xiao’an coughed. "Your master has found a beauty and wanted to introduce you."
"A beauty? Where?"
The Bull Demon King’s gaze landed on the beautiful woman exuding a terrifyingly cold aura. He froze for a second, then his eyes lit up. What a mature beauty! That figure, that allure... she was simply divine.
But then the Bull Demon King’s face fell. "Master, do you really think it’s appropriate to set me up like this?"
’I may be a bull, but I’m not a pig! How could I not sense her powerful Demon Qi?’
’She’s Demon King Level! Terrifyingly so! Even if she were as beautiful as the goddess Chang’e, I wouldn’t dare mess with her.’
’’To die for a beautiful woman is a worthy death’ is just a saying! If I’m dead, what’s the use of being romantic? Romantic, my ass!’
"Quite the Snake Spirit you are, with quite the bag of tricks. To even have a Rank Three Bull Demon at your beck and call." The beautiful woman hadn’t expected Tu Xiao’an to summon yet another Rank Three Demon Spirit, this one even stronger than the last.
She was shocked. Inwardly, she was utterly, indescribably shocked.
’Clearly, he’s summoning his own Battle Companions, not just some friends.’
’A Rank Two Snake Spirit with two Rank Three Battle Companions? Is he here just to flaunt his wealth?’
In fact, if Bai Junran had been present, he would have been even more astonished.
’He beat me during the day, and now he’s raising hell at my house at night? That’s just too much!’
