The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order
Chapter 2600: World’s End (IV)
Shock, awe, hope, and horror surged across the battlefield as countless eyes followed the spear streaking through the void. It carried within it the souls of the fallen and half of the Scarlet King’s essence, and its speed was so immense that it warped space-time, moving millions of times faster than light.
"No!"
"Stop it!"
Robuke and Mikela were the first to react, their voices filled with unrestrained dread. Their expressions twisted as they launched themselves forward without hesitation, pushing their bodies to the absolute limit.
The Worlds of the Root were no ordinary constructs. They had been forged from the landmass and energy of two Empyrean Worlds, their structure layered with incomprehensible vitality and resilience. By all logical measures, even an attack of this magnitude should not be able to destroy them.
But logic had never been a reliable defense against the Scarlet King.
If there was one thing Cain had proven time and time again, it was his ability to turn the impossible into reality. Neither Robuke nor Mikela dared to gamble. If the Worlds of the Root were gone, then the loss the duo would endure would be so immense that they could very well give up their hopes and dream of ever dominating the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.
The Warlock and Monster of the Root surged forward, intent on intercepting the spear before it could reach its target.
Yet even at their peak speed, they were too slow. Just like Cain, the spear used the Endless River of the Flow to increase its speed, something the duo could not hope to match, unless they took drastic measures.
A manic light flickered in their eyes as they began burning their life force to accelerate further, pushing beyond their natural limits. Their auras flared violently, distorting the void around them, but no matter how much power they unleashed, the distance between them and the spear refused to close fast enough.
By the time they reached it, it was already too late.
The spear struck the defensive barrier of the Worlds of the Root—the Wall of Flesh and Fire—with devastating force. The collision unleashed an explosion that rippled across the void, sending both Robuke and Mikela tumbling backward as shockwaves tore through the surrounding space.
The barrier itself was an extraordinary construct, capable of resisting even Limit Alpha Omega Overgod attacks. Yet against the spear, it endured for only three seconds before cracks began to spread across its surface.
"BOOOOOOOOMMMM!"
A massive hole was forged with a resounding explosion.
Even so, there was a fleeting moment of relief for the defenders. Robuke and Mikela saw how much energy the spear had consumed just to break through the barrier. By their estimation, the attack had already lost a significant portion of its power. If it continued forward in that state, it might destroy a couple of layers of the Worlds of the Root, but it would not be enough to threaten its foundation.
For an instant, they believed everything would be fine.
Then Cain appeared.
While they had been focused entirely on the spear, Cain had followed silently behind them, concealed beyond their perception. He materialized directly in front of the projectile just as it breached the barrier, his hand closing around it before it could continue its trajectory.
Horror flashed across the faces of the Warlock and the Monster of the Root as they realized how dangerously close they had come to disaster. Yet even that realization was overshadowed by what came next.
Golden light ignited within Cain’s eyes, merging seamlessly with the scarlet flames that already burned there. The Power of Chaos intertwined with the Flow, forming something far greater than either alone. The intensity of that fusion was so immense that blood began to stream from his eyes, yet he did not falter.
The world around him vanished.
Shadows consumed everything, leaving only the Worlds of the Root before him. Even that image dissolved, replaced by golden points scattered across the darkness—nodes were the life force and spirit energy of the world connected.
Without hesitation, Cain moved.
Using the momentum of the spear, he twisted his body and channeled even more power into it before hurling it forward once again. His voice erupted in a roar that shook the void.
"Thirty-Three Stars!"
The spear left his hand and instantly split into thirty-three beams of light, each one carrying a portion of its overwhelming power. They struck the Worlds of the Root simultaneously.
The result was catastrophic.
The moment the beams connected, the entire structure began to tremble violently. Life force and spirit energy clashed against each other in chaotic bursts, triggering massive internal explosions. The sky fractured, landmasses shattered, and entire layers of the world began to collapse under the strain.
Shock spread across the battlefield.
Even those who had witnessed Cain’s power before struggled to comprehend what they were seeing. The Worlds of the Root were superior to any Empyrean World, their structure refined and reinforced to unimaginable levels. Yet a single attack had triggered a chain reaction capable of tearing them apart from within.
Even Nito found it difficult to believe.
He had anticipated Cain’s return and had studied everything he could about him. Among all his abilities, the Flow Art was the one he feared the most. However, it was not without limitations. The stronger and more complex the target, the more difficult it became to identify its Flow Points. Applying it to something as vast and intricate as an entire world should have been nearly impossible.
And yet, Cain had done it in an instant. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"How is that possible...?" the thought echoed in Nito’s mind.
A voice answered him.
"It’s all your fault."
Noah’s calm tone cut through the chaos, drawing Nito’s attention. The Crimson Exarch wore a faint smile, his crimson eyes gleaming with unsettling amusement.
"You sent the Heart of the Root against my brother," Noah continued, his voice steady. "When he destroyed it, he didn’t just win. He learned. He analyzed every fragment of its structure. That gave him a blueprint of the essence of the Root... the same essence that forged the Worlds of the Root."
Noah’s gaze sharpened, his smile widening slightly.
"Don’t get distracted. This is far from over."
A chill ran through Nito as he turned his attention back to Cain.
The Scarlet King’s Chaos Wings flared once more, radiating even greater power than before. They pierced into the fabric of the universe, drawing upon its boundless energy. Yet this time, something was different.
The connection did not stop at the universe itself.
It extended further.
Through the Chaos Wings, Cain’s will and soul intertwined with those of every warrior of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance. A vast network formed, linking countless lives together, allowing a fraction of their power to flow into him.
It was not merely amplification.
It was unity.
The Royal Blutlinie Body was superior to his Primordial form in every way, except for one. Within the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe—where he had forged bonds through blood, battle, and sacrifice—was the only place where the Power of Chaos could finally reveal its true potential.
Energy surged through Cain’s body, rising beyond all previous limits.
The battlefield fell silent once more.
Everyone could feel it.
The power gathering within the Scarlet King had surpassed the Half-Step Fourth Realm!
