Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts
Chapter 1710: The Chosen One Was Dead
After reaching Qion, Nathan immediately set up the time domain so that everyone could improve.
Iris obviously wanted to see the special power first. As soon as she saw the gigant, she knew she had to learn this power as quickly as possible. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Without hesitation, she entered the time domain and trained there all the time. She couldn’t afford to waste a single second.
Even Nathan didn’t expect Iris to be this dedicated. She usually worked hard, but not this hard. It was quite surprising, but at the same time reassuring. If Iris could continue working this hard, she might be able to catch up with them.
Nathan also continued progressing. After one month staying within the domain, Nathan finally formed his second rule. His power was upgraded, but not as much as when he first formed a divine rule.
Still, the increase was quite significant. He could understand why people only had three rules, and some people wanted more rules.
The people with fewer rules didn’t want to waste too much time getting a small upgrade in the grand scheme of things. People with more rules were relatively stronger, but they might end up growing too old before forming the divine body.
Nathan still had plenty of time, so he intended to form the divine rules as he originally intended.
The others were trying to catch up, knowing that they didn’t have much time to form a divine body. If they couldn’t do it, Nathan might end up being the only person to go to another world, leaving everyone behind.
Nathan felt as though Selena had caught up to Vivian. At this rate, Selena might form her second divine rule faster than Vivian.
Then again, it wasn’t a competition, so he didn’t mind who reached it first.
Besides, he couldn’t care less about everyone because he had one more mission on this continent. It was true that the power from this continent might be interesting, but Nathan had one more goal he had yet to fulfill.
That was none other than finding the alien and the chosen one of this continent. Yes, this continent should still have its alien guide and the chosen one.
So, Nathan had been seeking any unique individuals. This individual should possess peerless talent or an innate ability. That was what he believed.
However, after poking around the three countries, he couldn’t really find this individual.
There was a chance this individual was also in hiding, so Nathan had to search for him manually.
Still, the sigil would have been activated if he had met this individual when he was visiting all the cities within the three countries.
Yet, for some reason, the sigil remained dormant. Nathan hadn’t visited the front line, so he thought that the chosen one was actually fighting on the front line.
The front line was quite delicate to approach. After all, it was where the strongest people on the continent resided. They were fighting to stop the aliens, so they might end up finding him.
Nonetheless, it wouldn’t stop him from going to the front line. He really needed to find the alien or the chosen one.
The chosen one might be able to help him fight. On the other hand, the alien might be able to provide him with some information.
After forming his second rule, Nathan chose to head to the front line. Unfortunately, Luna and Evelyn remained. They had the sigils, but Evelyn wanted to focus on her third rule, while Luna desired the divine body. They were extremely close, considering Evelyn had the uniqueness of two elements that made it easier to differentiate her power from normal. It helped in the creation of a new rule.
On the other hand, Luna had formed her third rule long ago, and she had forged her divine heart before fighting the Godfather. It shouldn’t take much time to form her divine body.
With the divine body, she might be able to take a peek inside the portal and see another world.
Bella also had one, but she realized that her progress might be the slowest in the group. To avoid getting left behind, Bella focused on spending her time getting stronger.
Vivian was indirectly competing with Selena, so she didn’t join Nathan on the front line.
In the end, Nathan went to the front line by himself. He first teleported to the front line and maintained a certain distance.
Since the sigil could inform him about another sigil within 10 km, the distance should be more than enough to avoid any detection.
He also defeated any aliens slipping past the front line.
After going around for a while, Nathan suddenly found the sigil reacting. The sigil was telling him that another sigil was nearby.
What he didn’t expect was that this sigil was actually coming from the opposite side of the front line.
Yes, it meant that the possessor of this sigil wasn’t fighting the aliens. If it were the chosen one, this person should have gone to the battlefield.
So, Nathan thought that the bearer of this sigil was actually the alien.
Either way, finding the alien would help him a lot. The situation wasn’t like the one in Erendtall, so he didn’t have to worry about being ambushed by enemy forces.
Nathan followed the directions carefully and reached a deep cave system. He was carefully approaching the signal, but what he found completely shocked him.
In the middle of the cave system, there was actually a massive opening. This room contained a shining crystal that illuminated the room, especially the middle of it.
Nathan widened his eyes because he found the alien. This alien looked like a wolf without eyes and ears. Instead, it had antennae to understand everything nearby.
This alien wasn’t the one shocking him. Instead, it was what was leaning on the alien’s body.
There was a human... no, it was more accurate to say there was a body leaning on this alien’s body.
The body was covered in wounds. Nathan couldn’t even see a trace of energy coming from this body.
However, the fact that a human would actually rest on the alien’s body meant one thing. This person was the chosen one of this continent.
But this person had already died.
"You are two days too late, O’ chosen one."
"!!!"
