After a few hours of travel, he sees the barren hill with a little green cover on top. He quickly increased his speed. He comes to the bottom of the hill.

He used his eye power to scan the place. He wanted to find the traces of the hyenas. He then decided to circle the small hill. Maybe he can come across their footprints.

As he came to the back of the hill, he spotted the beast tracks. He knows the footprints of hyenas. He had dealt with the beasts before.

Since it was mentioned to be a small group, he didn’t know the exact number of the hyena beasts. So, he used his eye power to scan the place.

Not a single detail escaped his eyes. He could even spot the differences between the footprints. He continued to look for them.

At the same time, he was being vigilant. He is new to the place, so he is quite wary of the wilderness here. He is also wary of the toxic plants.

He knows some wilderness areas have more threats from the fauna than from the beasts themselves. The process continues. He quickly reached the final count: he found seven different footprints. All of them belong to the hyena beasts.

The hyena beast group was bigger than he expected. One piece of good news, though, is that he can find them easily because of their large group size.

As long as he sees one beast, he could trace the others. He recalled the words of Staff Smith: the hyenas were spotted here at night.

But he thinks the hill has nothing to offer; it is just a good resting spot for them. However, he still has more ground to cover. He decided to explore the rest of the hill.

So, he continued to circle around.

That night, he appeared at the top of the hill. From here, he could cover the range with his eye power. He is now waiting for the hyenas to appear.

Since the hill is barren and open, he was easily exposed. He is doing that on purpose to make sure that the hyenas see him and come to attack him.

But doing it comes with a risk; he is exposed to other Corrupted beasts. For example, he has become an easy target for bird-type beasts.

He knows this wilderness around the 4th zone has more bird-type Corrupted beasts. Before joining the base, he had faced attacks from bird-type beasts.

Not long ago, his flight was attacked by bird-type beasts. He cannot forget the scene. He had escaped only with careful planning and courage.

Otherwise, he would have joined the victims.

He calmed his heart and began to wait for the hyenas to come. He spotted the first hyena one hour later.

The hyena was completely black with gray stripes. The beast was over 3 meters long with deadly jaws. It was clearly a Tier-5 Beast.

Jeremy Night is seeing this specific species for the first time. He had come across hyenas before, but they were all a different color.

He waited for the beast to find him. The hyena started walking towards the hilltop. It quickly sniffs around and finds the aura of the human Beast Tamer.

It didn’t take long for the beast to confirm the human Beast Tamer was weak and alone. But the beast was cautious.

Despite its bloodthirstiness and anger, its intelligence worked. The beast surveys the place. It saw that the human Beast Tamer didn’t move away from the spot.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night sees the beast. Seeing that the beast was coming towards him, he didn’t show much reaction.

He waited for the beast to come. He takes out his handgun and covers it with starlight power. The bullets were covered in starlight power in the blink of an eye.

He didn’t even target the beast until it got much closer. Then, he took aim and pulled the trigger.

He shot at the beast’s leg. The bullet goes in a flash before hitting the leg. The bullet comes out the other side.

The black hyena makes a sound. It stopped moving forward and looked at the human with wariness. It didn’t know how the weak human was able to injure it.

Its intelligence worked. The beast didn’t go forward. Instead, it turns around and runs back towards the pack.

Seeing that, a bright smile appeared on his face. He didn’t expect the plan to work so perfectly; he had expected the beast to charge at him despite its injuries.

But the black hyena was clearly thinking while attacking. His eyes flickered. It’s the first time he has come across such a hyena.

If the black hyena thinks and fights, then it’s a dangerous situation for the Beast Tamers. Don’t tell me this is the reason for the special base here? No wonder the genius students are trained here.

Then, he sees the injured hyena reach the foot of the hill. He stood up and began to follow the beast. With his eye power, he can catch up from a certain distance.
