A teenager who unexpectedly gets transported to the modern world from ‘the world of the immortals’ . He finds himself in the body of an ordinary guy. The human race is fending off the assault of the thaids, strange monsters evolved by animals occupying most of the earth's surface.

Because of the monsters, society has evolved into one based on individual fighting prowess; Erik is an abandoned young boy living in such society with the most useless of the powers.
