After Naeku learned to calm the foreign feelings, they remained in bed and in each other's arms. Curious, Naeku tenderly caressed a mark on Erik's chest, her body turned sideways as it leaned against him. "This is me? It's… an oasis?"

The new mark on his chest, joining the others in surrounding the one representing his bond with Elora, indeed looked like a classical oasis. In tiny figurine form, there was a small pond surrounded by grass and palm trees, surrounded by a desert.

Smiling, Erik nodded. "When you manage to fuse your affinities of nature and desert, you'll create the affinity of oasis. You'll have to ask Elora for specific knowledge on it, but I believe it's an affinity focused on defence and buffing."

Naeku frowned thoughtfully. "Does that mean I'd lose the offensive capability of desert?"

"Sort off, but it's not an affinity devoid of offence," Erik shrugged. "And you'd keep the desert skills you have now. Besides," he raised an eyebrow, "I kind of feel like it fits you better, don't you?"

She pursed her lips with a little embarrassment. "It is… It'll be great for when I command my warriors in battle, it's just… I wouldn't want to fall too far behind my new sisters in pure combat power."

"Hehe, I think you'll be fine," Erik chuckled softly. "Emma and Elora aren't fighters, and Astrid and Emily are both kind of glass cannons. If you want to measure yourself against them, just buff your defensive prowess so high they can't break through it, and then whittle them down."

Instantly, Naeku perked up as a light shone in her eyes. "Hehe, that's true!" she grinned expectantly. "Now I suddenly can't wait!"

Suddenly frowning, she looked up at him. "I think I might seclude myself as well, in fact. My body has nearly reached the limit of second rank, so if I focus on my runes for a while, I should be able to make it to third-rank soon. After that I'll start fusing." She raised an eyebrow. "Do you think you'll need me to lead the warriors anytime soon?"

Erik shook his head and caressed her cheek. "I think we can manage without you for a little while. Right now, I need to engage in some subterfuge play with Azania and Gorgonéa before we start a more aggressive expansion. This is actually the perfect time to focus on gaining strength." 1

"Actually," he continued as a mischievous grin spread on his lips. "Speaking of gaining strength, since your body has nearly reached the limit, I should be able to finish you off… in several ways."

"Wha—" she began to respond, but Erik instantly interrupted her as he swapped positions with her. Naeku barely had time to yelp before he was inside her.

"Let me share some Elorium with you…"

A few hours of intense training later, they were once again panting and sprawled on the bed. Naeku looked up at the ceiling with disbelief, distorted by satisfaction. A fleshy snake was deposited on her face, but she barely paid it any attention.

"My body actually reached the limit…" she muttered, before a smirk appeared. "Any chance we can bottle your stuff and give it to the warriors?"

Erik, leaning casually against the bed's headrest, his arms and legs splayed, nearly did a spit take. "I'm not some milking cow! Where'd I even find the time to produce that much?"

Suddenly, a light went up in his eyes. "Although, if you'd like to send some beautiful female warriors my way, I might be able to help them, at least…"

"Ugh," Naeku groaned and rolled her eyes. "You're impossible," she sighed, before using a finger to punt the snake off her face and jump off the bed.

After the experience she'd gained last night in dealing with Erik's modified fluids, her body had already adapted quite a bit. It would still send her into a spiral of pleasure, but it wouldn't incapacitate her for long afterwards anymore.

She started stretching and groaning. Her beautiful, lithe body was on clear display for Erik to enjoy, which he did gladly. She noticed, of course, but only enjoyed his hungry gaze. When she was done, she looked down and caressed the space just below her navel. "I still can't believe you actually mark your wives… and that I'm fine with it."

As with his other wives, an intricate tattoo covered the space between navel and crotch. As with the others, it looked like a beautifully decorated heart encircling the howling head of a wolf. To her, it felt warm to the touch and even felt comforting in a way.

"Hey, I'm marked, too," Erik grinned as he pulled her attention back to the small oasis on his chest. "It's just not as prominent because I need to make room for more than one."

Scoffing, Naeku rolled her eyes once more. "Great argument to give your wife, my love. 'I can't make as much as a sacrifice as you do for me, because I need to do it for many others.'"

Unfortunately, Erik's grin only widened. "That's why you're the obedient little princess, and I'm the dominating emperor with a harem."

He spoke with such domineering gravitas that a shiver of pleasure went down Naeku's spine. She gulped a little meekly, but didn't respond. With a slight blush, she started looking for her clothes.

Realising what she was doing, Erik smiled. "That reminds me. I made something for you."

Waving his hand, he made a ring appear between his fingers. "Not the ring, unfortunately. I'm not yet proficient enough to make storage jewellery, so this ring is actually Elora's wedding gift to you. My gift is inside."

Naeku halted her search and turned to him, her earlier embarrassment forgotten. "Oh?" she said curiously.

"Here," Erik chuckled, and tossed the ring her way.

She easily caught it. "It's beautiful," she muttered in awe as she inspected it. "This is one of those things you and my new sisters use to store items?" freewёbnoνel.com

"That's right," Erik nodded as he finally jumped out of bed as well. "Let me show you how it works, and how to take out my gift..."

I kind of retconned the name of the Central African nation. Instead of 'Packlands of Lycaonia', it's now 'Packlands of Gorgonéa'. Since I made their royal family wereserpents, I decided that made more sense.
