"Yeah, it's pretty useless..." Ryuk replied, earning a nod from the man.

But then, the man's hand swerved as he slid the screen to the other side, revealing the half-destroyed image of Ryuk's body.

"Then how do you explain this? A living Anunnaki model, albeit vastly incomplete, moulded into a living Heart!?" the man said in awe as Ryuk's eyes flashed.

If he had said it was impossible to fuse with an Anunnaki model, then how did Uncle Bob manage to fuse him with an Anunnaki body?

'Is it because he only used a couple of scales from its body?' Ryuk thought.

According to the holotapes he had been given by Uncle Bob, he had been told that his body had been derived from harvesting three scales from the body of a true Anunnaki that was living under Endearth.

Not literally its full body.

But now that it was mentioned… perhaps that was the secret? Fusing with a scale instead of the full body?

"Whoever made this body of yours must be an absolute genius—one whom worlds would die to earn the trust of," the man said, his eyes flashing with a strange bit of desire.

"But there was a tiny problem with your model body."

"After I successfully scanned it, I discovered that something had gone wrong with your body."

"For one, there seems to be an implanted code that gives your Anunnaki model the capability to regenerate itself—to create new nanobots from source energy cores present in the Anunnaki model itself."

"But your code seems to have been damaged."

"Or should I say—your source energy that was supposed to allow your regeneration to continue had been exhausted," the man said, as Ryuk unconsciously clenched his hands.

Damn it.

Of course, he had heard Uncle Bob's warning—that his regeneration was limited, as it was drawing power from the scales in his body.

Once the energy had been completely absorbed, Ryuk could lose the ability to regenerate.

He had survived many grievous wounds after that and healed them.

But the wound when he fought Antares was just too much.

He had completely been reduced to nothing at first before he used the Life Rejuvenation Card to bring himself back.

But not long after, he had been forced to face the Anunnaki Oblivion skill head-on.

His Anunnaki model was what had kept Ryuk alive, as the Oblivion skill ought to have instantly wiped him out—but his Anunnaki body had come to his aid, using all bit of energy to protect Ryuk from the blast caused by the technique.

But in so doing, they also completely lost their ability to regenerate.

"My first thought to bringing you back to life had been simple—harvest the regeneration code from the Anunnaki body that I have found, and lace it into yours to allow your body to regenerate and get you back to your feet."

"But then, I had an even better idea."

"And What's that?" Ryuk asked as the strange feeling of weariness descended into his heart.

"Instead of simply replacing your regeneration source code—why not just replace you completely with my own Anunnaki model body!?" the man said, a calculating light in his eyes.

But Ryuk's face paled to a ghostly white.

"Due to your fusion with the Anunnaki model, your body must be the only one I've ever seen to be so reactive to Anunnaki models."

"And after many scans, I realized your previous body was actually an incomplete model."

"In fact, it seems like your body was only made with pieces of the real Anunnaki model—very minute pieces."

"So, I thought, what would stop the page from turning? From having a few pieces of the Anunnaki model bound to you—to having the entire full body joined to you?"

"Can you imagine the difference there would be in power? For once in eternity, we would finally get traces into the true capabilities of a race that reached the peak of Machinery."

"And just like I predicted, your body seamlessly fused with the Anunnaki model that I have, because your main organs—your heart, lungs, and brain—were already used to the Anunnaki models."

"It was an asbolute upgrade with no problem at all, and here you are, in a full, complete Anunnaki body!" he said, as Ryuk's fake eyes flashed in understanding.

'Uncle Bob had only used a couple of scales to mold my body—and yet, the Anunnaki skills were so strong.'

'But now?'

'Now that I'm in a full, complete Anunnaki body... just how strong would I be? What would my potential be?'

Ryuk thought this to himself—but then, his hands clenched as he closed his eyes in defeat.

Something the man didn't fail to see.

"What is wrong?" he asked with confusion as Ryuk relaxed his clenched teeth, before asking:

"Did you ever consider that all my skills and abilities that I gained from the previous Anunnaki model would be lost once you integrated me with another?" Ryuk asked as he opened his eyes which were filled with veins to look at the man, who went silent for a while.

His eyes rolled in their sockets before they tightened up, and he nodded.

"Yes, I did."

"WHAT!?" Ryuk screamed out when he looked at the man's face, which didn't seem at all surprised at all and held no apology whatsoever.

"You knew I would lose all my skills?"

"Yes, I do."

"I know your Anunnaki model housed its own powers, and once you're integrated with another, you of course will lose those ones."

"In fact, even the handling of the new body will fade away, as I can sense the difference between your previous Anunnaki model and this—they are vastly different, even though they might both bear the same name of Anunnaki."

"That is well within my knowledge," he said, as Ryuk opened his lips and closed them, opening it once more before he bit hard into them as the realization dawned on him.

'I've lost all my NanoSkills!?'

'My true skill of Abyssal Nano Reaper along with my Abyssal Scythe Skill, my Anunnaki Oblivion Skill and my Singularity Detonation skill!'

'I've lost everything!'

'I've lost every single one of my ultimate skills because of the man in front of me!' Ryuk thought as his teeth grinded together, his hands shaking with rage.

Right now, he felt nothing more but the desire to get up and rip the man before him into nothing—but he forced it all down as he forced out the question instead.

"Why?"

"Why did you know I would lose it all—my body, my skills, my familiarity—and yet, you went ahead and did it anyway, without ever asking if I ever would want it or not?"
