Chapter 1560  Klaus' Adventures

The group left the island and searched for another hundreds of kilometers away from this place. They didn't want to engage in such a battle. These guys had a higher manpower and would definitely have the upper hand. The group can only escape for now.

Grey and Alice continued with what they were doing the first time while Klaus and Reynolds headed into the island. This island was bigger than the last one and had occupants, mostly Magical Beasts, so they wanted to see if there was anything of value hiding here.

After a few hours, the duo returned with dust covered bodies.

"What happened this time?" Grey asked. It was clear they've once again encountered something.

"We were tricked by a Ground Mole." Klaus said through gritted teeth, Grey could hear the anger in his voice.

"How can you two be tricked by a Ground Mole?" Alice giggled when she heard this.

"This clown said his gut feelings said we should follow it." Klaius pointed at Reynolds and added, "In his defense, the Mole truly was moving strangely, so we thought it had some rare treasure in the area."

"And what happened next?" Grey found the encounter amusing.

Both Klaus and Reynolds' expressions showed anger.

"It was all a mating ritual."

"The stupid Mole was trying to woo a female in the area, and it carried a fairly decent treasure, so we decided to follow it and see its hoard."

Grey and Alice burst out laughing, they didn't think Klaus and Reynolds would be one-upped by a Mole, unknowingly.

"I understand you being annoyed by that, but why is there still dirt on your bodies?" Alice asked after a fit of laughter.

At this point, the rage on the duo's face showed clearly as veins popped on their heads.

"It's not dirt, it's from the stupid Mole's body. Apparently, the hole was made by the female Mole and she spread this shit around it. It's the scent that attracts males." Klaus explained as he dumped a large amount of water on both their bodies and it didn't change anything.

"So you two are saying you guys are currently a magnet for male Moles?" Grey asked while laughing.

Klaus looked at him with an enraged face, now he regretted trying to explore this place.

"We should head into the sea." He said to Reynolds. He was embarrassed to stay there, the reason for this was because he could sense a few creatures rushing in their direction from the ground. If his gut feelings are right, then it was most definitely male Moles.

How annoying would it be for a male Mole to be hitting on him. It was crazy just thinking about it.

The duo jumped into the water, and this time, Klaus didn't try to create an ice dome and he wanted the water to touch their skins. They had ways to breathe underwater, so it wasn't anything serious.

A few seconds after the duo disappeared, a head popped out of the ground, and then another one, and then another one.

Three heads popped out of the ground and they all belonged to Moles.

Grey and Alice burst out laughing once again. They couldn't believe Klaus and Reynolds actually experienced something like this. Hearing it was almost unbelievable, but seeing Moles actually rushing in this direction, it meant they were right and were perceived as female Moles in heat.

Klaus and Reynolds didn't return even after a day went by.

Grey was thinking about searching for them when they finally returned, dirt free and both grinning from ear to ear.

"What happened this time?" Grey asked, for some reason, he was ready to hear the duo's story after disappearing. They've always been able to tell him amusing stories so far, and he was actually looking forward to hearing another one.

"I managed to make friends with something legendary." Klaus replied with a big smile.

"What's that?" Grey asked curiously, he has seen a few legendary creatures, and has read about others.

Klaus closed his palm, and when he opened it, a small creature appeared. It was the size of a finger.

"A fish?" Grey looked at Klaus as if he had gone crazy.

"Not any fish, this little guy can actually swallow almost anything." Klaus explained and told Grey about the fish.

This fish was nicknamed heaven devouring due to its frightening ability. There were very rare sightings of them, but it was said that they have been able to swallow an entire Continent. The craziest part is that they could swallow things with stronger attack power. Even with a weaker cultivation stage, it can still swallow something stronger than it is.

"Oh, I think I've read about it before, I just didn't have a very high impression of it." Grey seemed to recall reading about something like this a long time ago, but it wasn't too important to him, so he didn't think much about it.

"Well, this guy can also produce something that I very much like." Klaus laughed but didn't speak any further.

"Aren't we done with the break?" He asked.

"You're enjoying yourself, I presume it's best to stay a little longer. Besides, this is a good chance for me to study forgemastery once again. I still need to create a weapon from that crown." Grey explained.

"I'm good with the crown. I have a throne, a crown, and all that's left is my castle." Klaus said.

"If you say so. But I'll still like to make use of my spare time. Unlike you who have all the time to wander around, people like myself and Alice have more important things to do." Grey didn't push the matter.

The crown belonged to Klaus, so it was his choice if he wanted to do that or not.

"I'm enjoying my time, what's wrong with that?"

"We are also enjoying our time cultivation. You guys can go play." Grey chased them away.

The duo looked at Grey and almost wanted to fight with him, but thinking about Grey's freakishness, they gave up and left.
