An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me-Chapter 55: Dark
Chapter 55: Dark
After that day, Riven and Noel couldn’t go back to the dungeon. Their mother had insisted that they take the time away from it, and when she finally allowed them, it was too late as the Royal Academy had begun preparing the dungeon for the exams and had cut off the dungeon from public use.
Riven had spent his entire time training his swordsmanship to no end. He practiced day and night, trying to upgrade his sword mastery, so much that the Knights were all already friends with him as they dropped tips from time to time.
But even after pushing his body beyond, he didn’t level up. Though his skill had definitely gone up, his fighting was more fluid and better.
He was happy with that progress, even though he wanted more.
As Riven stood in the training ground swinging his sword in swift motions, Noel walked into the building, his sword hanging by his side. He was dressed in casual clothes.
The training knights immediately greeted him when he walked in. Riven stopped swinging when he saw his brother.
"What’s up, Noel?" he asked.
"Nothing much, I’m just here to generally stop you from training. You’ve been swinging that sword every day since you finally got well. It’s time you rest. After all, the first exams will be starting tomorrow. You should lay off," Noel said.
"I know, I just wanted to be sure of my strength before I went ahead for the exam," Riven said.
"You need to rest, bro. Take it from someone who has used the sword far longer. You’ll wear yourself down before the exam if you train today.
Let’s head into town. After all, you need a new armor set for the exam, and so do I. You don’t want to look like crap in front of everyone," Noel said.
"Doesn’t the family have armors already, ones that would fit us?" Riven asked.
"Yeah, they do, and I already picked two for both of us and put them inside my storage. We’ll take them to a blacksmith and have them modify it more to make it more us," Noel said.
"I guess that’s good, and I have a place we can go to. Let’s head out," Riven said and kept his sword. He went in and washed up quickly before leaving the house with Twilight on his waist as well.
The both of them left the house and headed into the town.
"Still can’t believe the exam is so close," Riven said as they walked.
"Yeah, I wanted to explore that dungeon more and see what monsters were in the deepest ends of the floors.
But now we will have to leave for the academy, and we might never get in again," Noel said.
"I’m sure it will be fine. The academy has a lot of things that we will want to see for certain," Riven said.
The town was filled with a lot of people, more than usual, and Riven could immediately tell that it was because of the exams that were happening here.
The inns would already be booked as merchants, nobles, commoners, and more trooped in to get here in time for the exams.
"Seems like we will be having a lot of competition," Noel said.
"Nah, I doubt it. Competition doesn’t come from the numbers, it’s the quality of people that come," Riven said.
"Well, your fiancées will also be part of the competition, and from what I know, the children of the dukes are all talented," Noel said.
"I’m trying not to think of them and focus on passing the exams," Riven said.
They made it to Dark’s blacksmith. Riven pushed the door, the bell rang as they went in. Immediately they entered, the first person they saw was a large muscular young boy standing in front of the counter, his palms pressed against the wood of the counter. He had red, fiery hair.
"I said I want it fixed now!" the boy yelled at Lucas, his voice reverberating inside the shop.
"I told you that my master is out, and there is no way I can fix that type of armor on my own," Lucas responded calmly, but the irritation in his voice was sounding.
"Then call him here! How dare he keep the son of a count waiting! I’ll have both of your heads for this!" the boy roared.
"Hey," Riven called. The boy turned and looked at them with a frown.
"What do you want?" he asked rudely. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
"I believe Lucas said that his master is not around now, so why don’t you get your ass out of here and stop making a ruckus," Riven said.
"Huh? Are you talking to me?" the boy roared in anger.
"Is there anyone else here, you big bag of muscle and no brain?" Riven asked.
"You bloody brat," the boy said in rage. "How dare you speak to me, the son of the count! How dare you speak to me, Louis Von Siran!" he yelled.
"Bro, stop yelling, we are right in front of you," Riven said.
"You are too loud, and are we supposed to cower in fear because your daddy is a count? You are standing in a different land. Your name doesn’t give you the right to do what you want to do," Noel spoke.
"I’ll make the both of you eat those words!" the boy yelled. His palm was immediately covered in flames. He closed his hands into a fist and charged at Riven.
Riven moved his hands to his sword and was about to pull it when the door suddenly swung open, and a pressure slammed on all of them and pushed them back to the ground, their entire bodies pressed against the ground very hard.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ALL TRYING TO DO HERE?" A voice resounding like that of a demon sounded. They all tried to look up slightly, and they saw him standing over them, his eyes shining white like some sort of entity. Dark stood there.
