Apocalypse: I Built the Infinite Train-Chapter 200: Carjacking
Silence.
After Luo Rui’s shout, the station remained eerily quiet, as if there wasn’t a single soul on that train.
Seeing that no one responded, Luo Rui lost his patience. He had no intention of waiting for the enemy’s main force to return before taking action. Without hesitation, he waved his hand at his teammates.
“Brothers, surround the train!”
At his command, a burly man immediately climbed onto the machine gun turret, pulled back the bolt, and aimed straight at the train before squeezing the trigger.
Thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud!
The heavy machine gun roared deafeningly, and countless bullets rained down on the Infinite Train’s armored side, sending sparks flying.
Inside the Living Carriage, several women shrieked and dropped to the floor in fear.
After a round of suppressive fire, the roar of engines suddenly filled the air. Several vehicles charged out from both sides of the platform, while a few figures hidden in the shadows hurled smoke grenades and incendiary bombs toward the train.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Thick smoke billowed, obscuring the view as the incendiary bombs exploded along the tracks and against the train’s side, burning fiercely.
Inside the train, Shasha in Car No. 2 watched as the enemy finally made their move. Gritting her teeth, she grabbed her communicator.
"Sister Shu Qin, we're engaging. Get into position and cut off their retreat to the city."
“Got it.” Shu Qin’s voice came through the communicator.
Shasha exhaled sharply, rubbed her hands together for warmth, and pressed a button.
Tat-tat-tat!
The entire station erupted into chaos. Gunfire roared as bullets surrounded the train from all directions. Some attackers hid behind vehicles, some in station buildings, and others in the woods. They weren’t trying to break through the train’s steel armor—they were providing cover so their teammates could get closer.
A chubby man and his squad moved cautiously through the smoke, each carrying glass jars filled with disgusting white parasites, inching their way toward the train.
“Suppress them! Cover for Fatty and his crew!” Luo Rui shouted into his walkie-talkie.
Just then, a scout in the city relayed intel:
“Brother Rui, the group in town seems to be heading back!”
Luo Rui grinned. “Perfect! I’ll wipe them all out! What Ding Qing doesn’t dare to do, I’ll handle myself! Just two Ability Users? Unless they’re bulletproof, my 127mm train-mounted heavy machine gun will teach them a lesson!”
“Brother Rui! There's movement on the train!”
As Luo Rui’s bloodthirsty excitement peaked, his subordinate suddenly shouted.
His eyes shot toward the train just as a hydraulic mechanism let out a deep, metallic hum.
A section of the train’s roof began to open.
Then, a massive weapon slowly rose into view.
Tat-tat-tat... tat-tat...
For a moment, all the suppressive fire stuttered and stopped.
The attackers stared in stunned silence.
Some looked puzzled, some confused. Some narrowed their eyes, trying to get a better look. Others muttered under their breath.
"What... what the hell is that?"
Luo Rong’s gut clenched. His battle-high vanished as if someone had doused him in ice water.
“Big Liu!” He grabbed the bespectacled man beside him and pointed at the rising weapon, eyes wide. "Why the hell wasn’t this in our intel?!"
“I-I... we don’t know either! Is that a cannon?”
Whooooom—
The air trembled. The massive base of the 1130 CIWS began to hum as its motor spun to life.
Above, the electro-optical targeting system and phased array radar scanned rapidly. The fire-control radar activated.
Luo Rong’s face drained of color. His lips trembled.
"I... I’m f*ed..."**
The next second, he grabbed his walkie-talkie.
“RUN!”
BWOOOOOOO!
The 1130 Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) roared to life!
Eleven 30mm barrels spun at blinding speed, spitting out pure destruction.
The high-speed radar locked onto every enemy in milliseconds and swept across the battlefield like a storm of death!
The attackers who had rushed in and taken cover behind cars? Shredded into a fine mist of blood.
The vehicles? Torn apart like flimsy plastic toys.
Luo Rui’s retreat command barely left his lips before his men’s legs gave out—they were already sprinting for their lives.
Too late.
The CIWS’s tracking system operated in milliseconds.
Even those hiding inside station buildings had no escape. The walls themselves were blasted apart!
At the same time, Car No. 5’s automatic door hissed open.
From inside, Big Luo stepped out, hefting a Gatling gun.
The gun’s electric motor spun up.
BOOM!
A relentless stream of high-speed metal rounds tore through the scrambling enemies!
The train’s cockpit door opened.
Luo Shasha emerged, cradling her Thunderstorm A1 Grenade Launcher.
She didn’t hesitate.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Three grenades arced out.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Explosions rocked the battlefield.
Screams. Shouts. Cars and buildings blasted apart.
Trees collapsed.
Deep in the woods, Luo Rong and his crew scrambled onto their vehicles.
One of them, hands trembling, raised a rocket launcher, desperately unlocking the safety as the CIWS’s turret swung toward him.
CRACK!

A single sniper shot rang out.
The rocket launcher—and the man holding it— exploded into a shower of gore.
Blood and flesh splattered across Luo Rui’s windshield.
Panicked, he stomped the gas pedal, trying to escape.
At last, he understood—
This train hadn’t run because it never needed to.
This train was a damn mobile fortress!
CRASH!
His SUV slammed into another car, jamming the escape route.
Luo Rong exploded with rage. “GET THE F* OUT OF MY WAY!!!”**
On a rooftop in the distance, Chen Sixuan calmly adjusted her anti-materiel sniper rifle.
A cold determination filled her gaze as she took aim at Luo Rong’s cockpit.
The rifle’s immense power brought her an unusual sense of security—watching her enemies obliterated, her emotions no longer wavered.
Her finger squeezed the trigger.
CRACK!
What was supposed to be an organized ambush—within mere seconds—had turned into a one-sided massacre.
"Brother Rui! Brother Rong!"
At a distance, Guo Sheng, who had been in charge of blowing up the tracks, paled at the sight of the bloodbath.
He grabbed his walkie-talkie, frantically calling out.
No response.
From Luo Rong. From Fatty. From Squad One. From Squad Two.
Nothing.
"Screw this! We’re getting the hell out of here!"
Realizing the situation was hopeless, Guo Sheng and his team jumped onto motorcycles and bolted toward the chemical plant.
But before they could escape—
Screech!
All six bikes skidded to a halt.
A lone armored vehicle blocked the road.
Standing atop it, a young man with windswept hair faced away from them.
"Who the hell are you?!" Guo Sheng shouted in terror, fumbling for his gun.
Click.
A black Remington M96 was already pressed to the back of his head.
Bang!
Tat-tat-tat!
Shu Qin and her team emerged, wiping them out in mere breaths.
Lu Xingchen turned, pouting. "Come on, Shu Qin, at least let them introduce themselves first!"
Shu Qin holstered her gun. “Cut the crap. We need to get to the chemical plant and assist Captain Lin.”
