It had already been more than five minutes where they both had only stared at each other. Even the elders who were here to watch Zhao Luo were getting bored and their patience grew restless.

"I am ready."

Zhao Luo nodded and tried to look calm but nobody except him knew that mentally, he was already standing on the edge of a giant cliff.

'The Dao's.'

Zhao Luo mumbled the words that were the cause of this pressure.

On the other hand, Bu Xing had already started counting for the fifth round of the game.

"1"

"2"

.

'Here goes nothing.'

"3"

Zhao Luo turned his face upwards once again but this time his eyes were closed.

'Please, please, please...'

Zhao Luo screamed in his head as he felt reluctant while opening his eyes.

To his surprise, he heard the confused voice of Bu Xing.

"Is this real?"

Bu Xing mumbled while looking at Zhao Luo and then turning his face towards the elders as if asking them about his loss.

Bu Xing had pointed his hand down while Zhao Luo had made his move by facing upwards, thus finally handing Bu Xing his first loss.

Zhao Luo slowly opened his eyes and realized what had happened.

"Ha, haha, I won."

Zhao Luo laughed as he announced his first win with a smile.

'Looks like master was indeed able to block his fortune.'

Zhao Luo nodded his head and felt as if some powerful authority was given to him.

"Is this the 'chance' to attack?"

Zhao Luo questioned as he felt that the whole chessboard stage was in his hand.

"Yes, a 'chance' has been granted to you. Tsk, you can choose the piece you want to attack."

Zhao Luo listened to Bu Xing's answer and looked around.

The crowned piece, the statue of the sand lion. on his side was already back to the maximum limit of the piece.

( 5/5 )

'So, all of his earlier wins came to naught.'

Zhao Luo grinned as he could barely keep himself calm with the intense excitement he was going through.

"I will use my chance to attack the last piece."

Zhao Luo pointed at the last dragon piece that was on Bu Xing's right side.

The sand lion piece parallel to the dragon piece that Zhao Luo wanted to attack, came to life.

"The claws."

Zhao Luo exclaimed as the claws of the sand lion kept on growing bigger and at one point the sand lion leaped at the dragon piece and slashed it into pieces, before returning back to its place.

( 0/1 )

The dragon piece was completely obliterated after the attack of the sand lion landed on it.

"Now, I just have to destroy four more of your pieces."

Zhao Luo said to Bu Xing as if telling him about the future that was going to come soon.

"This is the first time, I have lost in my life. Who knew such a day would come?"

Bu Xing told Zhao Luo instead of taking his words to heart.

"But, a loss should be enough for today."

The evil look in his eyes had disappeared, and a challenging fire burned in them.

He looked at Zhao Luo and nodded before starting the count again.

"1", "2", "3"

Zhao Luo turned his head towards the right while Bu Xing was pointing in the same direction too.

"SEE!"

Bu Xing celebrated his victory by attacking one of the regular pieces on Zhao Luo's side and destroying it with the attack of his regular dragon piece.

'It's just a coincidence.'

Zhao Luo told himself and looked forward to the next round, which started a few seconds later.

"1", "2", "3"

Zhao Luo looked down while Bu Xing was pointing upwards.

'I see.'

Zhao Luo thought as if he had come up with a grand plan with this win.

The authoritative feeling fell on him again and he used his chance on the regular dragon piece.

Another piece on Bu Xing's side was destroyed but Bu Xing himself stayed quiet.

"Are you shocked?"

Zhao Luo asked Bu Xing whose eyes were trembling, no less the shock of losing for the second time at the hands of the same person again was indeed too big.

"Don't fret on your losses. Games should be fun, not something to be pressured about."

Zhao Luo told him but only Zhao Luo knew how much pressure he was under just a moment ago.

"You are right."

Bu Xing agreed as he looked ahead to winning the next round.

'He fell for it.'

Zhao Luo mumbled while barely keeping the mischievous look in his eyes under control.

"Let me tell you something. I am going to look UP so you should too, just to make it fair. Up, okay?"

With a serious look on his face, Zhao Luo looked compassionate in the eyes of Bu Xing as he pointed upwards.

A nice person like Bu Xing who had never lied in his life had yet to face such a situation before.

Bu Xing nodded at Zhao Luo's sacrifice and gave out a bright smile before he happily started counting for the eighth round.

"1"

Zhao Luo looked at Bu Xing who was looking at him and both nodded at each other.

"2"

"3"

As the sound of three entered their ears, Bu Xing pointed his hand upwards, with shocked eyes.

Zhao Luo had turned his head down once again, with a short-lasting smile on his face as he looked at Bu Xing who looked ready to spit out a mouthful of blood after being deceived so passionately.

"Little Brother, didn't you say that you were going to make your move towards..."

Bu Xing said while pointing his finger upwards, while Zhao Luo pretended to be confused.

"Oh, I thought we were supposed to look down. Sorry."

Zhao Luo said while rubbing his hands together to show how bad he felt for that.

Bu Xing was taken back as he looked at the sincere look on Zhao Luo's face.

But the next moment Zhao Luo used his chance to attack another regular dragon piece on Bu Xing's side.
