Chapter 286: Chapter 149: Exploration, Harvest, Space Energy Pearl

Caroni followed the gaze of the Green Robed Witch and saw the bald wizard from Melt Crystal Lake and the Black Robe wearing a feather mask from Black Nightmare Swamp standing shoulder to shoulder, facing the numerous aquatic screen images hovering above Mirror Lake, whispering something to each other.

Soon, the two took something out, and then traced runes in the air, seemingly entering into some sort of agreement.

Caroni naturally knew what they were doing, it was almost their reserved entertainment every time they met—

A small "betting game," comparing the performance of their respective wizards in exploration actions.

For these powerful wizards standing at the Peak Level 3 and about to step out of the Mist, there always needed to be something to keep their interest during the long lifespans, to pass the boring time.

"Are you not going to join?"

The Green Robed Witch, chewing on a brightly colored fruit, said to Caroni: "They don’t mind having two more participants, if you want, I could join too."

"Never mind."

Caroni shook his head, lifted the wine bottle in his hand and took a gentle sip, saying: "You know I’ve never been interested in this kind of game.

I’m not as confident as they are.

Our Magic Ring has not been rooted in the Southern region for long, and ultimately, we still lack some heritage..."

"Just waiting like this, it’s also too boring..."

The Green Robed Witch sighed softly, clearly wishing Caroni would join in this betting game.

Caroni knew very well the character of the person before him, restless with a spirit of adventure, filled with interest in any thrilling and challenging matter, but lacking enough courage, thus she hoped to have someone to join her.

"If you really want..."

Caroni pondered and made a suggestion, "We two could play, but the stakes shouldn’t be too high, you know, I..."

"That’s great Caroni."

The Green Robed Witch didn’t wait for Caroni to finish and agreed cheerfully.

"Frankly, I’ve been waiting for you to say that.

The strength of Melt Crystal Lake and Black Nightmare Swamp is much stronger than both of us; the odds of winning against them are too small. We are equally matched opponents."

Caroni gave a speechless look at the excited face of the Green Robed Witch, and soon after, they agreed on the stakes and then signed the contract.

All set, the Green Robed Witch could not wait to lift her skirt and approach the various aquatic screen images displayed above Mirror Lake, staring at the Magic Ring Wizards appearing on the screens, muttering under her breath, as if rapidly calculating her odds of winning the bet.

Watching her back, Caroni’s eyes flashed a slight gleam, calmly taking out a Communication Stone and gently lighting it up.

"How about it, did she agree?"

"Yeah. I specifically added the Star Spirit Hundred Orchid Seeds and Reproductive Flower Juice you wanted to the stakes... those two items are regarded as life by the wizards at Thorny Palace, without this tactic, they wouldn’t bring them out..."

"Well done Caroni. The things you want, I’ve instructed Orian to look out for them while exploring.

If it’s not in Mirror Court, I’ll compensate you separately...

The key point is, are you confident about the arrangements... could you really win this betting game?"

"Valena of the Second Magic Ring and Clements of the Seventh Magic Ring.

They are seeds of the First-tier Group.

They might not have much competitive strength against the geniuses from Melt Crystal Lake and Black Nightmare Swamp, but just wanting to win over the hands in the second region from Thorny Palace... shouldn’t be a big problem."

Caroni put down the Communication Stone in his hand, his gaze locking onto two among the plethora of aquatic screens in front of him, then took out two brand new Communication Stones from the storage ring, started inserting information into the Communication Stones.

....

Ronan looked around the room.

In the center was a black high-footed four-poster bed with a semi-transparent grey bed curtain, beside it a bedside table with a silver candlestick,

On the walls, one side had heavy velvet curtains hanging down, the other side adorned with a delicately woven tapestry, the colors of the tapestry somewhat faded, showing some patterns unrecognizable to Ronan.

Next to the four-poster bed, there was also a white desk, the desk surface bare, messily scattered with several feather pens, and what appeared to be a few open notebooks or books.

Besides that, there were several grey wardrobes, two empty shelves, a silver dressing mirror embedded in a separation column... and nothing else.

It seemed like a bedroom solely for rest.

Compared to what Ronan anticipated, a bizarre scene filled with ancient wonders and lurking dangers, this was drastically different.

A slight energy fluctuation transmitted from inside the Space Ring.

Ronan took out a Communication Stone and turned it on, hearing Clements’s voice.

"Ronan, are you ok?"

"Very well, it’s calm around here."

Ronan responded.

"What about Deby? Can you hear me?"

"I’m here... I’m also fine."

A steady but slightly unfamiliar voice responded.

Apart from the two of them, there was another Magic Ring Wizard from the Seventh Magic Ring, ranking pretty high, just behind Clements. Before entering, the three of them had exchanged Communication imprints.

"Then let’s each explore, remember to contact me promptly if there’s any situation.

If we could meet up, that would be even better..."

Clements cut off the communication.

Ronan wasn’t bothered, after entering the Secret Realm, the three had no idea where they had been transported to; meeting up relied purely on luck.
