Chapter 348: Chapter 173 "Void Mirror", "Mirror Soul" Spell, Heritage Space_3
"Ronan."
Ronan turned his head, Kosti looked at him intently, her lips moved but ultimately she simply instructed calmly, "Seize this opportunity well."
Ronan nodded, stepping into the entrance.
As Ronan’s figure disappeared, a cold hue suddenly emerged on Kosti’s composed face. ƒrēenovelkiss.com
She spoke coldly towards the empty corridor’s end.
"Is this supposed to be compensation?
Rather, it’s like imprisonment... After all, you still don’t trust me."
Only Kosti’s voice echoed in the dark corridor, with no one responding.
After a moment, Kosti took a deep breath and said solemnly, "Regardless, I will continue to fight for what truly compensates Damien."
Having said that, Kosti walked back the way she came without turning her head, her footsteps echoing alone in the empty corridor.
....
"Click—"
Ronan suddenly found himself entering a cozy and comfortable room.
Soft lighting spread to every corner of the room.
The room had spiral bookshelves on all four walls, filled with all sorts of books, extending upwards endlessly, with seemingly no ceiling above, unclear where it might lead.
In the center of the room was a long table made of peach wood, with something seemingly placed on it.
Ronan slowly walked over and found a grey Rune Stone, next to which shimmered fluorescent text—For Ronan Damien.
For himself?
Just as Ronan clarified the text, the fluorescence disappeared as if it had never been there.
Ronan gently picked up the Rune Stone from the table, his spiritual power seeping into it...
Moments later, Ronan’s mind emerged from immersion, his face showing a trace of peculiarity.
This Rune Stone contained the inheritance of a Spell.
No specific Grade.
The name of the Spell—[Mirror Soul]!
"It seems that this is an inheritance spell unearthed from the Ancient Mirror Court..."
Having read through the entire Spell description, Ronan understood why the Six Great Conferences were willing to generously share this spell.
The reason being, this spell did not involve principles of Space-related magic, but was purely a "Mirror Attribute" spell.
Mirror Magic often derives from Space Magic, tightly interlinked; however, not all Mirror Magic is completely dependent, as the spell Ronan currently held proved.
Although it does not involve Space principles, this unranked [Mirror Soul] spell was still powerful.
The core of the [Mirror Soul] Spell and its similarity to Mirror Runes Ronan had encountered before was in its effect—Reprint.
Spellcasters could create a temporary "Summoning" through a special magic medium utilizing [Mirror Soul].
The strength of the summoning depended on the spellcaster’s level of Strength, and the quality of the magic medium.
Perhaps this is one reason for its unranked status, as the spell’s maximum and minimum effectiveness varied greatly depending on the wizard wielding it.
The range of spell mediums [Mirror Soul] might apply to was extremely broad; it could be an object, a scent, or even a memory...
Different magic mediums could summon "Mirror Souls" of vastly differing strength and abilities.
Almost immediately, Ronan thought of a highly suitable magic medium for deploying [Mirror Soul], if his idea worked...
"This spell seems tailor-made for me!"
Ronan exhaled softly, suppressing the eager excitement to try it immediately, and stored the Rune Stone engraved with [Mirror Soul] into his Space Ring.
Had he forgotten why he was here?
Was this library-like room perhaps the Inheritance Mark Space mentioned by Kosti?
Ronan continued looking around and soon noticed eight small doors on the four walls of the room.
Each small door was engraved with different patterns, which Ronan scrutinized closely, feeling they corresponded to different elemental symbols.
He thought for a moment, then walked towards a nearby door marked with a Flames pattern.
Reaching the door, he tried to push it open.
He pressed lightly on the door, but it didn’t budge.
Ronan furrowed his brow and then turned to another door.
Tried opening it, still immovable.
He continued this until the fifth door, whereupon as soon as his hand touched the door, an abstract symbol of crossed swords on the door quietly lit up, followed by the small grey door abruptly turning into a swirling vortex, and Ronan tumbled in—
Lead grey, black, silver white, gold...
His eyes met a mottled metallic luster, the air thick with a strong iron smell, and the ground beneath his feet incredibly hard.
This was a world completely made of various metals.
The usually most sparse Metal Attribute energy elements in external spaces were so concentrated here they were almost visible to the naked eye.
Occasionally, wind arose, sweeping across the ground with a sound rough as metal scraping, hitting the face with a slight painful sensation as if being grazed by blade lights.
"This is the Metal Attribute Inheritance Mark Space..."
Ronan looked at the heavy grey sky, thoughtful.
Staying in this space for too long, he felt slowly assimilated by metal, as if his body was becoming sluggish and jerky.
However, the Demon Nightmare Tungsten Steel and Neiman Metal that clung to him were quite active.
Ronan did not conduct further exploration, directly exiting the space, and returned to the small room filled with books.
He continued trying the next door.
The subsequent doors became exceptionally smooth.
Ronan tried them all, discovering out of the eight small doors, he could open half of them.
The Elemental Spaces behind the small doors were namely—Metal Attribute, Ice type, Earth Attribute, and Energy System.
"Exceptionally open... "
Ronan stood at the center of the eight small doors, his eyes flashing as he thought.
"Claiming exceptional openness, but in fact, it’s only partly open.
If it were Orian, probably all eight doors would be completely accessible, right?"
Ronan looked around again.
He had been here for quite a while and had not found any "door" leading out.
When he had come in, Kosti hadn’t mentioned anything about when he might leave, it seemed he was to spend some time here.
"I wonder if someone is watching?"
Ronan looked up, slightly squinting at the profound darkness above.
Then he redirected his gaze.
"Well, it’s also just as well; I need a quiet place, a period of no disturbances to properly organize my current combat system.
And... to resolve the problem of hidden dangers in my Bloodline."
Ronan briefly assessed the four small doors he could enter and finally chose the relatively most comfortable Ice type door to walk through.
