Chapter 313 – Cat Dad has a Prison

Players were confused.

Over 200,000 players gathered near Seaside Town, stalking Odin's 10,000-man army. They had expected that the army would soon attack Slave Dungeon on Gnoll Island, and they prepared to follow them there.

Strangely, the army didn't move. They simply stood in formation and stayed there for hours.

Marcus, who survived the ordeal in Yeet City, came here to rejoin the raid. But upon seeing the stats of the game and the NPCs' reactions, he started to question the game's events and the company.

It was not a simple good vs. evil theme kind of world. It was more complicated than that. The NPCs didn't act like robots all the time, but they had personalities, thoughts, and personal goals.

While Marcus observing the Asgardians, he received guild messages from Master Yeet. He stopped paying attention to the immortals and looked at the guild chat.

'Heyo, boss?'

Seeing Master Yeet's message, Marcus texted back.

"What are you doing? I heard you got captured."

'Yes, I got captured. I'm in the dungeon now, probably. I don't know where, though.'

Marcus got interested, "Have they done anything to you and the captives?"

'They separated men and women captives. They took the children and the mothers away, but I don't know if they're still alive. As for players, well, tough luck. Some of them are bitten and turned into one of them.'

Master Yeet explained what happened to the captives.

About several thousand NPCs and players were teleported here during the chaos, and the party girls handled everything. They first sent chibi party girls to seduce the children and took them away.

After the mothers and parents whined and wanted their children back, the big party girls appear and brought them away as well. Then, they separated the local NPCs from the players. Once most NPCs were taken away, the big party girls herded the remaining men to the same cell and sent the women to another place.

Many players attempted to teleport out of the dungeon, but they ended up sinking into the floor when they brought out a teleportation scroll. Their fate was unknown, but Master Yeet believed that they all died.

Suicide and respawn tactics didn't work either. Some of them tried it, but their bodies respawned in the same prison cell, and they still lost a level as a penalty.

Many players logged out of the game as they were bored. However, the big party girls immediately dragged the unconscious game avatars of the logged-out players in front of the prison cells and dismembered them on the spot. Even worse, they turned the bodies into cakes and showed them to the remaining players.

"They're Partygoers from the Backrooms, aren't they?"

'Yeah, pretty much. They're keeping us as livestock here.'

"Wait a second, Yeet. If your respawn point is locked inside the dungeon, what happened to the dead players that got killed?"

'You guessed it. Their avatars respawned in the dungeon after death. As soon as they respawned, those monsters killed them again. They're not just killing us for meat. They want us to quit playing the game at this rate. I bet some of those fools got killed so much that their level drops to one by now.'

"Wow."

'So… erm. A little help, maybe?'

"Sucks to be you. Help yourself out."

'This is not a joke, bro! My game avatar is at risk here! If I log out, they will spawn-kill me to oblivion. If I don't log out, I will be bored to death! I won't have a life at this rate!'

"Is that all you're worried about?! How about you sit there and wait for the immortal army to raid the dungeon? I'm at Seaside Town right now, and the Asgardians are staying here!"

Marcus rallied Master Yeet not to give up. Although he didn't know what Odin and his immortals were doing, he consoled his vice guild leader.

'I'll try. But boss, there is another thing I need to tell you.'

"What?"

'This morning, an NPC visited us and offered us a way out, but the condition is kinda sketchy.'

"Tell me."

Master Yeet told Marcus everything about the visitor.

.

.

An hour earlier

Master Yeet and 20 male players got stuck inside the same 10-square-meter cell. The cell was packed like a tuna can as nobody got room to properly rest or sit down. Most of them stood against the wall, making as much room as possible for themselves and others.

The sweaty odor and the humid rusty smell of iron bars made this place a shit hole. Although they got used to it, the feces-like scent and random farts from the men almost made Master Yeet puke.

Fortunately, someone finally visited them.

A female NPC, Mary, showed up in front of their cell and briefly gave them an offer.

"My name is Mary. I'm the Dungeon Master's HR manager, and I'm here to give you an offer."

"LET US OUT!!"

"BITCH, I'LL KILL YOU!"

The men behaved like savages, not listening to the woman. Fortunately, Mary stood three meters away from the cell, and these men couldn't touch her.

"I will let you out if you agree to complete my quest."

DING

A quest menu appeared. The prisoners and Master Yeet looked at the content of the quest.

Failure Penalty: You will get stuck here forever.

Note: Your game character has to die a hundred times to complete the transaction. Mary will not take responsibility for your item or level losses due to the death penalty.

.

The players widened their eyes in anger.

"This is a ransom!"

"You bastards! Do you think we are rich?! 10,000 PACT is 50 grand these days!"

Currently, one PACT was traded for 50 dollars. Thus, 10,000 PACT was a lot of money for regular players.

Mary had expected their reactions. She placed a golden scroll on the ground and explained.

"There is another way."

She coughed and waited for the players to be quiet. When they stopped yelling, she continued.

"This thing is a class-change scroll. Only our dungeon can issue this since this class is unique. If you use this scroll to change your class, I will free you."

"What class?" The players were interested.

"Dungeon Sentry Class."

"D-Dungeon Sentry?! What kind of class is that?"

"Your game character will be linked to this dungeon. Your skills, spells, and level will be reset upon using this scroll. Your soul will be trapped in this game forever. But in exchange, you will become one of us, and you will get your [Freedom]."

"WHAT?!"

Mary spoke like a player. However, her name and her title belonged to the NPCs.

The players were reluctant as they were afraid of the consequences. Everybody was worried about their real bodies in the game capsules. They had already heard a rumor about the death of many players who played this game in World Two, and they were afraid that the same thing might happen to World Three's players as well.

As the players hesitated, Master Yeet managed to push himself to the front row. He raised his hand.

"Can I have the scroll?"

Mary snickered, "Yes, you can have it. Well, you can't leave with it anyway."

Master Yeet laughed, "What if I pay the ransom and bring this scroll out for sale?"

"Sounds good, doesn't work."

"You sounded like Trump. Are you sure?"

"The scroll is only effective if you activate it while you're inside the dungeon. Bringing it out will turn that scroll into a useless item. You can try it if you want."

"…"

Master Yeet received the golden scroll and opened it. The scroll shone and showed a magic circle diagram and rune symbols.

DING

<Would you like to change your class to Dungeon Sentry?>

<Warning! You will lose all your EXP, old classes, spells, and skills upon activation.>

<Warning! Your real body and your game avatar will merge, and you will be trapped in the game world forever if you accept.>

Seeing the warning messages, Master Yeet immediately closed the scroll. He opened his game account and converted 10,000 PACT into game tokens. Then, he paid the ransom.

"Here, 10,000 PACTs. Get me out of this shit hole!"

Mary nodded. She received the tokens and looked at the Party Girl next to her.

The yellow monster giggled and unlocked the cell. Then, she dragged Master Yeet out.

Mary smiled at Master Yeet, "Now, you can teleport out of the dungeon. We won't harm you."

Master Yeet got back on his feet. He looked at the cellmates and sneered, "Do you mind if I want to stay here a bit longer. I need some time to think if changing my class is a good idea."

Mary was confused, "You paid the ransom. What's the point of staying here and changing your class when you can get out? Are you stupid?"

Master Yeet turned to the nearest Party Girl. Although they weren't as sexy as war maidens or pretty skins, Master Yeet was interested in their nature as they seemed to love kids. Still, he preferred the sexy war maidens.

"Say, if I join this dungeon, can I have sex with the monsters?"

"… You sick fuck."

Mary's expression turned dark. She silently pulled out a pistol and pointed at Master Yeet's forehead, "Our dungeon isn't a brothel. If you're horny, go pick up a valkyrie whore out there."

Master Yeet laughed and raised his hands, "Just kidding. Relax, girl!"

"…"

"Give me a few hours to think. If I change my mind, I'll leave the scroll here and teleport out, okay? But say, if I want to join your dungeon, do I need to tear the scroll?"

"Just tear the scroll to activate it."

"Neat! Alright, give me time to think. This is a life-changing decision!"

"Fine."

Master Yeet laughed and carried the scroll with him. He put the scroll in his robe and swagged toward other prison cells, secretly gathering information to make the decision.
