Even if he had turned into a cat, Pei Zhen was still not going to accept being called a “good kitty kitty!”

He was emotionally distressed to begin with, but now, he had even more reason to bully Wang Youquan. He quickly followed up with another scratch, as if to emphasize that one scratch wasn’t enough.

Hating the enemy meant hating every strand of hair on his body. Not to mention, this was his scheming manager.

“Ow…”

Wang Youquan recoiled in pain, with a long, fresh wound appearing on his arm. “Sichen, am I going to die? Is this going to give me rabies?”

“You’re thinking too much.” Fu Sichen raised his arm, and used a knife to chop the piece of bone on his chopping board in two. He tossed the chopped bone into the wok, added some scallops, crushed garlic, and some other ingredients. “He’s such a gentle cat.”

Gentle, my *ss.

He was a ferocious beast!

With a jump, the “gentle” Pei Zhen landed on Wang Youquan’s shoulder. Using it like a springboard, he flew towards the direction of the kitchen.

Charging towards the stovetop, he aimed his sharp claws in Fu Sichen’s direction.

Fu Sichen was long prepared.

As Pei Zhen dashed towards him, Fu Sichen sidestepped to avoid the attack. With one hand, he pinned Pei Zhen down before wrestling the cat into his embrace.

“Acting spoiled… what a cute boy.”

Pei Zhen was stunned into silence.

Wang Youquan was equally silent.

“Sichen, I can sense seething hatred from his eyes,” said Wang Youquan.

As a cat that could think and feel, no matter how displeased Pei Zhen was, he wasn’t completely without conscience. The wound on Wang Youquan’s arm was only superficial. He still remembered having to get shots at the vet just the day before. Anyway, Wang Youquan was just being a crybaby.

Fu Sichen’s culinary skills weren’t that bad, especially considering how fragrant the simple breakfast was. And that was the reason why Wang Youquan didn’t want to leave— he was hoping to stay for a treat.

Breakfast consisted of a homemade sandwich, with salad and egg on toast. Topping all that off was a glass of milk to complete the nutritious meal.

Wang Youquan quickly came to the dining table. “I left in a hurry this morning and haven’t had time to eat breakfast.”

His hands reached out for the sandwich, only to have them slapped away by Fu Sichen. “Go and wash your hands.”

“… Oh… okay.”

The minute that Wang Youquan got up, Pei Zhen immediately jumped onto the table and lowered his head to lap up the milk.

“Ahhhh! My milk!”

After drinking his fill of Wang Youquan’s milk, Pei Zhen shifted his target. He opened his mouth and took a bite of the sandwich.

“Ahhhh! My sandwich!”

Wang Youquan was devastated. He wanted to carry Pei Zhen away, but at the same time, he was scared that the cat would attack him. But the main point was that his food had been contaminated by the cat! How could he eat it now?

Pei Zhen didn’t give two hoots about what Wang Youquan thought.

The sandwich had been soft and very satisfying.

Feeling that lowering his head into the food would be unsightly, and would be bad for his image, Pei Zhen even tried to use his furry paws to pick up the fork and knife.

Fu Sichen didn’t say a word during this whole process.

Wang Youquan was equally silent.

Feeling hurt, Wang Youquan wailed, “Sichen, does this cat not eat cat food? Is there any breakfast left?”

“He…” Fu Sichen thought about it for a while before he realized that this cat hadn’t taken an interest to cat food. He had even overturned a bowl of it the night before.

“He doesn’t eat cat food.”

“What about breakfast…”

“There isn’t anything left.”

“You!” Wang Youquan felt mortally wounded. “In your eyes, am I, your manager who does everything for you unconditionally, not even able to hold a candle against a cat?”

Fu Sichen eyed the Persian cat, and then looked at Wang Youquan. He took out two coins from his pocket. “They sell meat dumplings in the mall downstairs.”
