'Morning Wood' was quite normal for men, and Lu Chen could normally control his urges in the morning even with his wife beside him. But today, his control was nowhere to be found especially with the exercise they did last night.

"Wife, where is it uncomfortable? Should I call the doctor?" Lu Chen said in alarm as he rose and removed himself on top of her. He was feeling too guilty to be composed as he quickly stood up from the bed to get his mobile to contact the family doctor.
"STOP!!!—Eh?" Xiu Mei stiffened, as her expression changed into shock as she went into a daze.
Lu Chen paused and returned to her side in a split second seeing her frozen in shock.
"What's wrong?"
Xiu Mei didn't answer him and stared in disbelief at Lu Chen instead. And then her hand flew on her throat as she tried speaking again.
"I can speak?" She slowly muttered. Hearing her voice, her eyes widened.
Lu Chen flashed a warm and pampering smile as he brushed her hair.
"Yes, my wife."
"In front of you?"
"Mhm."
"... am I dreaming?"
"Absolutely not." His smile turned wider as he lowered his head stopping few inches away from her face. "Because if it is… then this husband of yours will truly be crestfallen."

She's pretty sure he wasn't talking about her voice at all.
Xiu Mei ignored his rogue comment. "How am I able to speak with you in here?"
It's just been a few days and all this time, she could only talk when she's alone. She even tried making herself relax and feel comfortable thinking that her subconscious would eventually lift her inability to talk. She even went for her treatment just this weekend.
