The sound of splashing water and m.o.a.ns echoed within the bathroom for the whole duration of their bath. In that short amount of time, she felt like her body wasn't hers anymore. Lu Chen had to carry her out and placed her on the bed.
Xiu Mei felt like her whole body was falling apart. After beating up Lu Chen with the last bout of her energy, she could barely drag her whole body to the wardrobe to change. She glared at the culprit the entire breakfast until Lu Qiang received the lunch prepared by the chef.
He didn't complain but Lu Qiang pitifully stared at his lunch and glanced at her side before silently putting it in his bag. His back when he was picking up his backpack looked so pitiful making her want to hug and apologize to him.
"My dear love, mommy will make it up to you tonight okay? I'll stay in your room tonight?"
Lu Qiang's eyes sparkled while nodding his head.
"Is that a promise?" He pulled out his pinky finger.
"Promise."
On the side, Lu Chen's expression darkened.
She pretended that he didn't see it but she couldn't stop her chuckle.
Heh. Did he think that he could get away with what he did this morning?
She's not that generous to forgive him easily. This will at least let him suffer this much.
When Lu Qiang got out first to go to their car, Xiu Mei felt a tug on her hand.
Turning around, she bumped onto her husband's c.h.e.s.t while he took this opportunity to wrap his arms around her waist.

Lu Chen stiffened when he felt a stabbing pain from his foot but he still kept his cool without letting go of his wife.
It's not like he hasn't experienced getting shot or stabbed before ah. This is no big deal. At least, that's what he thought while he bit the inside of his mouth when his wife's stilettos kept her heels on his foot while stepping on him harder.

"Hubby, you're so adorable you know that?" She flashed a knowing smile as she reached out to pinch his cheeks whilst she kept pressing on his foot.
"M-Mhm." Lu Chen replied in a low tone. He could only helplessly watch the playful smile on his wife's face while he suffered what he thought was more painful than getting shot in his stomach.
On the other hand, Xiu Mei raised her brow.

She was just about to victimize his other foot when Lu Qiang appeared behind her.
"Mom? Dad? Aren't we going yet?" His head appeared behind the door, looking at the two people hugging each other.
Xiu Mei quickly got off Lu Chen's foot and hastily pushed him away. Lu Chen didn't intend on further angering his wife so he loosened his hold and let her escape.
Meanwhile, Lu Qiang frowned seeing his father getting all touchy with his mother.
He stomped over, glared at his Dad then grabbed her mother and dragged her outside with him.
Xiu Mei silently laughed at Lu Qiang's innocent glare while letting him drag her outside. But before she turned from the door, she glanced behind her and stuck her tongue out to Lu Chen like a child.
Lu Chen chuckled at his wife's antics before following after the two of them. Lu Qiang sat in between the two, separating his father and mother.
As an a.d.u.l.t person, Lu Chen generously forgave his son that kept glaring at him. Besides, he's going to be dropped off at school later on. What's the fuss if he's the one still spending more time with his wife than the little kid.
If Xiu Mei were to know what childish thoughts Lu Chen had on his head, she would surely laugh out loud.
