Cosmic Paragon-Chapter 47: Radiant Moon Sword!

The Wind wolves had already surrounded him on all sides they were a bit scared

of this human. After all he had killed half of them when they had completely

outnumbered him. They had been weary of the human doing something when

that bright light appeared. But now they had not been attacked, and it looked like

the target was resting.

GROWL!!! RAAR! RAAR!

They did not hesitate and took the chance. Four wolves lunged at him in a pincer

attack from all four directions instantly closing the distance to Drake.

Just as they closed the distance, Drake’s eyes sprung open and a cold light

flashed through the darkness.

Radiant Moon Sword!

SLASH!

The Wind wolves suddenly felt their hairs stand on end, their instincts screamed

danger but it was too late. They could not get away.

There was a slight whimpering sound and then silence as the attacking Wind

wolves fell to the ground.

There was no blood coming from the corpses of the dead beasts. Instead one

would see that the path that had been slashed by the cold moonlight power had

completely frozen and looked like a smooth surface of a clean cut block of Solid

ice.

There was no way blood could leak.

The other Wind wolves hastily retreated when they saw this. In just one slash this

human had killed four of them.

They couldn’t help but look at that 2 meter long beam of light in his hand, with

visible fear in their eyes.

Drake was also shocked but also ecstatic at the terrifying power of this attack.

He had only been testing his idea and to be honest he had been expecting to face

disappointment. Who knew that not only would he succeed at employing the

properties of light to form an attack, but the attack would also be so powerful it

could probably be comparable to a laser beam.

It had to be known that since thousands of years ago when there were still seven

continents laser beams were an extremely powerful weapon of humanity. Even

today laser beam was a powerful trump card of humanity.

Laser beams were so powerful they were one of thee few things that could be used

to cut through diamond.

Yet, now he controlled a power like that in his hands.

At this moment a tree that was beside him suddenly crashed into the ground.

This caused the already terrified Wind Wolves to jump in fright. They hastily

turned tail and fled while howling into the night.

Even though they were beasts and their intelligence could not be comparable to

that of humans, it did not change the fact hat they were still aware of when they

were facing danger of death.

Magical beasts could not be treated like regular wild animals. Thanks to their

evolution after absorbing magic energy they had very good awareness. Initially

they had gone berserk at the sight of their fellow wolves blood, and had crazily

attacked Drake with their lives on the line.

But that was because they thought they stood a chance of taking the target

down. Yet now, not only have they not been able to kill the human, Drake actually

now had a weapon that could instantly kill four of them in one swing, they would

naturally run for their lives.

Who knew the barrier that was placed to prevent him from having access to

magic power would one day be so useful. Now it was like a container where he

"I can probably still make the ’Radiant Moon Sword’ sharper by compressing and

focusing the light more. I’ll need to try using it a few more times so I can master

it." he said.

He had felt it that while he was trying to use this attack, he had wasted quite a

bit of magic energy.

Looking around, he saw that t6here were no more Wind wolves around him, they

had all run away.

With a slight shake of his hand, the ’Radiant Moon sword’ shattered an the magic

energy that formed it dispersed like fairy dust fading into the atmosphere.

With all that out of the way, he turned and headed n the direction where he had

seen the twins.

Peter and Paul had been enjoying their killing spree when suddenly a bright light

could be seen in the distance. I only lasted for a few seconds before fading away,

but when it did the sound of wolves howling could be heard in the distance.

"What was that light?"

"Beats me, I’m right here with you."

Several howls could be heard in the distance. These were the howls of the Wind

Wolves that had escaped from Drake.

Aowuuu!!!

There was suddenly an even more terrifying howl from behind them. This howl

was much more powerful and more imposing than the howls of all the other Wind

Wolves. The Wind carried it for long distance.

"Not good! That is probably the Alpha Wolf."

"We need to get away from here now. The Wind Wolf’s Alpha is definitely a Grade

3 beast, if it gets here were dead."

Let’s go!

The two hastily made a dash to escape the encirclement.

The Bright light had come from the north, while the Alpha’s howl had come from

behind them in the south. Naturally, this means if the Alpha Wolf wanted to get

to the origin of the bright light it would have to go past them to get there.

The Alpha Wolf definitely would not be so gracious as to pass by the side and

ignore them, especially not since they had killed so many Wind Wolves.

Actually, these Wind Wolves were supposed to be the reinforcements for the

squad of Wolves that had been hunting Drake. They had only stopped halfway

because they had run into the twins.

Wolves were territorial. Yet, they had run into humans on their turf, this could

not and would not be tolerated. So they had changed their plans of reinforcing to

disposing of the intruders.

Who would have expected that because they had gotten side tracked, their

comrades would have been all but completely annihilated

Those Howls that had been heard earlier had come from the Wind Wolves that

had escaped after the confrontation with Drake. It was to relay the crisis

situation they were facing. It was this that had roused the Alpha Wolf.

The twins might have been unaware of all of this but there was one thing that

they were sure of, they did not want to cross paths with an Alpha Wolf.

If the Alpha Wolf were to come by here and find that the reinforcements had

actually gotten side tracked thanks to the twins, it would definitely not be

merciful with them.

If it saw how many of its kind they had killed, it would probably be driven mad

and would vent all of its rage on them.

With that thought in mind, they hastily tried to break out of the encirclement and

make a run for it.

They did not go in he direction where the light had come from instead they chose

to go to a different side.

The Alpha Wolf would definitely pass by here if it wanted to get to the origin of the

light, they needed to get far away before it got here.

As long as they did not cross paths with the Alpha Wolf everything would be fine

and they would be safe. Unfortunately things did not seem to want to go as

planned.

As they tried to escape the Wind Wolves seemed to have understood what they

were doing. Snarling angrily, they rushed at the twins.

The twins tried teleporting to escape, right now was no time to be prolonging any

fights. However, the Wind Wolves weren’t having it. they weren’t giving them any

free space to use their teleportation freely.

once they appeared they would be surrounded by several wolves that would be

madly assaulting them without a care for their lives.

They were only thinking of one thing as they assaulted them. ’we can’t let these

humans escape after killing so many of us. Since we can’t kill them ourselves,

we’ll delay them until the Alpha arrives. Then they will be doomed!’
