Cosmic Paragon-Chapter 55: Gaining New Additions To His Arsenal!

The three of them had found a place and stayed indoors all through the night not

daring to roam outside at night time. It was too dangerous since this was the

time that magic beasts were most active.

In fact they wouldn’t even have been outside to experience that ordeal with the

wind wolves if it weren’t because of the circumstances.

The dawn of the next day came quickly and the magic beasts activity calmed

three came out with a flame burning in their hearts. They went on a hunting

spree and as they hunted magic beasts they were also practicing with their

ability’s.

Paul was bushy trying to get the hang of his new Time Power and though

progress was slow it was still there. Peter still couldn’t use the special ability to

share Paul’s time ability yet but he didn’t give up no matter how long he failed

and after 2 hours this genius finally tapped into the power of Time. Though ti was

just for a second it was still done.

He was sure that before long he would be able to master this ability. At one point

he had even said, " Paul you better watch your back or not only will I gain your

power, but I might even master it before you!" he had said this with a narcissistic

face but Paul had taken it as a challenge to his prestige. And it forced him to work

harder on mastering his time ability.

Drake was also busy practicing with his new elemental abilities, he activated the

’Eye of Order’ to look at his details.

Drake was pleased to see that his Battle Power had actually risen by a whole

hundred. ’It seems fighting is the best way to raise my Battle Power fast. If I just

fight more maybe I can quickly get to 3 star Mage level. But that aside, it looks

like I have new powers.’ it surprised him to suddenly see new additions to his

arsenal.

’Wind Power’, he had gotten after getting hit by the Alpha wolf’s ’Wind Bomb’

attack,

Time power, after getting caught in Paul’s Time domain, when he tried to finish

off the Alpha wolf, and

Space power, after being teleported by that space Mage out of the forest when

they had killed the Alpha Wolf and were attacked by the Wind wolves.

Drake was thoroughly shocked when he saw these new additions he was excited

to no end.

But something confused him, he had used space portals formed from advanced

technology of humans and even gone through magic portals formed by Janus’s

magic power, so why hadn’t he gotten space affinity from all these?

He pondered a bit and he soon thought of something. When he was teleported by

the space Mage lady this time, he had felt a special energy wrap around his body

then he had felt as if he was dragged a bit. But even though it had felt like it had

only taken a short time, it had felt like he had crossed a vast distance in that

short instant. By the time he reacted he was already gone from the battlefield.

On the other hand, when he walked through the space portals, it was like he was

just taking a walk and arrived at his destination the next moment.

There was a difference. It was the magic energy that the woman had wrapped

around him before teleporting with him. Other elements he had successfully

copied also came from when he came in true contact with the elemental energy af

that ability.

He soon came to a conclusion that he needed to be in contact with the ACTUAL

elemental energy for his copy ability to work.

He hastily went to find the twins to ask for pointers on how to operate time and

space Power.

You can almost imagine how shocked the twins were when they found out that

Drake’s magic power gave him the ability to copy all magic affinities. They had

been a bit skeptical when he had used his healing power to help them recover

from their injuries last night, since they had clearly seen him use the ’Radiant

Moon Sword’ to behead the Alpha wolf. Now when he explained that he could

copy all magic power affinities they understood.

They felt a bit dismayed when they saw that they were no longer special with their

Space and Time magic powers, but they were comforted when they found that

Drake could not copy their ’Twin Share’ Special ability.

Even though they felt a bit sour at first they were still excited for their boss, after

all this special ability meant he had limitless options with his power. They hastily

gave him pointers about their powers.

They didn’t really have that much experience with time power so they were

lacking a bit in that department, but when it came to Space power, Drake came to

the right place.

It should be known that these two had had space power for a long time so they

had dedicated all their power to learning everything there was to know about

their power. They even had their own special tricks to operating Space power that

they had figured out after having this special power for a long time.

Especially, Peter, the kid was an absolute genius when it came to thinking up

more creative ways to use their Space power.

Space Power just like Time Power was a domain based power. With Space affinity

you attain the ability to communicate with and affect space around you. As a 1

star Mage you wouldn’t be able to do much with this affinity. In fact it could only

be considered average and even useless in some cases since you couldn’t use

magic power outside your body at this stage, but once you were a 2 star Mage

Space power would finally begin to shine.

As a 2 star Mage, a Space affinity Mage could affect Space in 10 meter radius

around them. It was the limit of the 2 star level and would multiply by ten with

every advancement in the Mage’s level. However, Drake encountered a small

problem, he could only sense 5 meters around him with his Space power.

No matter how much he tried to extend his space domain it did not exceed the 5

meters. Drake ended up having to leaving it at that. He attributed it to being

probably because it was a copied ability, after all no matter how perfect a copy

was it could never be the original.

However, this was no problem for Drake, he was happy that he had the space

affinity, the twins were a bit comforted by this though.

They began to teach him how he could manipulate his space domain. At their

level the easiest available power to them as Space Mages, was that they could

extend the distance between points and shorten them. That means they could

easily reach any thing within five meters of them and cross this distance in the

blink of an eye. Also if you tried to get to them, they could retreat 5 meters in an

instant.

They used this same principle when they formed their energy armor. When you

tried to attack a Space Mage your attack would need to cross an unknown

distance to get to them before it could harm them. For the twins, just that thin

energy armor is equivalent to a five meter distance. And unless your attack can

easily and quickly cross that 5 meter distance you can forget about hitting them.

They could easily make a millimeter to be as long as 5 meters, and 5 meters as

short as a millimeter. That is the reason why it is said that no attack can hit a

prepared space Mage.

Once a space Mage knows you are attacking them, all they had tko do was

manipulate their Space domain and you would be doomed.

However there are also ways to break this. And the easiest one is to input more

magic energy into this domain or at least more powerful higher level magic power

in the domain, this would cause the domain to grow unstable and collapse.

Another way would be to use absolute force to break the domain, like maybe drop

a bomb on them. The shock of the explosion would be enough to shatter the

domain.

As they spoke about the several ways the space domain worked Drake couldn’t

help but marvel.

The next thing Drake learned was how to teleport.

A space Mage could only teleport inside their space domain. As for this so called

teleportation the principles be hind how it worked were both simply easy and

complicated at the same time.

Space teleportation treated space like a sheet of paper. With the starting or jump

point as a point on the paper and the destination as another point. If the distance

between these two points were 10 meters,Under normal condition a person would

need to walk ten meters to go from one point to another.

But for a space Mage they could use their space power to simply fold this paper

from the center, making it so from a birds eye view it would be like the distance

between the two points was no more than just a single step’s distance. It was this

folding of space that caused spatial distortions when Mages teleported.

All the Mage would have to do at this point would be to take that on single step

and they would be at their destination.

Drake was gob smacked when he heard how easy they made it sound.

However, it was quite hard for Space Mages to carry out this process of folding

space so it wasn’t that easy to move their bodies while doing it, or their work

would simply be undone before they could even take that single step they wanted

to take.

So the method space Mages came up with was to while folding space between

points, cover yourself with your energy armor then simply eject some magic power

behind you like a thruster. Or just out right detonate it.

The force generated would just simply push you to cross through the distance you

wanted to cover simple as that. And you wouldn’t need to worry about getting

hurt with your energy armor protecting you during the cross.

The only downside of this method was that it was a bit clumsy. Space is very

sensitive and fragile, so the burst of energy would cause ripples in space at the

jump and arrival points.

With space being in that unstable state, the space Mage would not be able to

instantly start another teleportation, because it was much harder to fold space in

its distorted state.

The laws of the universe would naturally quickly repair this, but it would still

take a second or two of delay.

This is the reason why the twins could not easily teleport instantly while they

were fighting against the Wind wolves.
