Dark Magus Returns-Chapter 1276: Goodbye Friends (Part 1)

Everyone who needed to be there, who wished to say goodbye to Raze and the others, had gathered in the town hall.

Then there were also the others that needed to be sent off on their journey as well.

Standing in front of them all was Amir, who had placed the golden globe on the podium.

"Once a month, the item's full power can be used. The God-tier powered item that allows one to travel between worlds, dimensions, and realms," Amir explained. "An item that originally belonged to our people.

"However, we from the Bonum Society will not be using it for ourselves. Our home was already destroyed, and we had used it to come here, to make Pagna our home. Now we will be using it to send the rest of you home."

One of the ex-Alter members who were being sent back raised their hand.

"The item, if we get sent back, does that mean there is no way for us to come back to Pagna?" they asked.

"If you have the item with you, I suppose there would be a way," Amir said. "I can't say it's impossible, as many of you happened to come here by accident, but to purposely come to Pagna in the future, I doubt it.

"To reconfirm your decision, think of this as a final goodbye."

The Alter member then raised their hand to ask another question.

"When it sends us to our world…can we choose a location, or will it just send us somewhere randomly, and will we be split up if it does?"

It was a good question to ask, and one that Raze was interested in as well.

"When the power is used, it will send all of you to the same location. One person activates the portal, and the rest walk through it. Once the person who has activated the portal walks through it, it will close.

"Of course, there is a time limit that will also close the portal, but these portals can stay open for hours; they don't stay permanently open like some of the portals on Pagna.

"So, all of you will end up in the same location. However, each time the portal is opened to that place, that might not always be the same location."

Amir waited to see if there were any more questions, but it didn't seem like there were. So, the Alter members who came from another world walked forward.

They hadn't come from Alterian but had come from the same world as Himmy. Agents who hardly worked in the field due to their weak power and weren't at the base at the time.

Those that hadn't been eliminated.

"I need one of you to place your hand on the golden globe, and when you do, think deeply about the place you want to go, a solid memory. Your mind needs to form a connection with the place to allow a portal to open up to it.

"If you think of other emotions, it may open up a portal to the wrong place."

Amir was thinking about the old Bonum Society members. How they had felt when they needed to leave their home.

Whoever had activated it probably had done so thinking of somewhere safe, or somewhere far away where they would have no troubles, which had eventually led them here.

One person had volunteered; they closed their eyes to envision the place, and the golden globe lit up.

A small beam of energy started to shoot out from the item a meter away. The energy hovered in the air and then started to spread out.

The energy was gold in color, and it had formed and turned into a large circle in the air. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

"Did it work?" one of the Alter members asked.

"You are unable to see through it; the only thing you can do is trust that it has worked for you and take a step through it."

The other members looked at each other and gulped.

They walked towards the portal, and before stepping through, they turned around. The friends they had made in Pagna hadn't come with them to see them off.

They couldn't because what Raze and the others were doing was to be kept a secret. Tears welled up in their eyes, and then they took a step forward through the portal until the last person had entered, closing the portal completely.

Just like that, they were gone, and no one even knew if they had gone to the right place or not.

After the first group had stepped forward, a few individuals had gone ahead, and then it was finally time for Zon and Anna to go ahead.

"Zon!" Liam shouted. "Thank you for everything you did, thank you for helping me.

"The noodle shop as well, I talked to them, I said that you wouldn't come back. They were sad to hear; they wanted to see you again…but I think they understood.

"Raze isn't the only one that made an impact on this world, and even though you two weren't trying to help us or me…you really did help the two of us.

"I hope that both of you can live a happy life now that you've done everything you needed to."

Zon placed his hand on the golden globe, looking at Liam and Raze, and had a large smile on his face.

"I gave you that system because I don't want you to die," Zon bluntly said. "So don't die; otherwise, I might have to travel through worlds to come and get that system from you."

They looked at Raze with a smile, and the portal opened up. Both of them walking through it at the same time, ending their journey in Pagna and heading back to Trozen.

Now, all that was left were those heading to Alterian.
