Death Guns in the Higher World-Chapter 19: Fastest Dungeon Raid 1
Chapter 19 - Fastest Dungeon Raid 1
After passing through the portal, Alex found himself in a lush forest, a common environment for most dungeons.
The forest was small yet vibrant, with a canopy dominated by chestnut, hemlock, and beech trees that allowed ample light to filter through, creating a mosaic of mushrooms sprouting from the brittle leaves below.
Climbing plants clung to many of the trees, while a scattered array of colorful flowers provided a refreshing contrast to the otherwise uniform scenery.
The air was filled with a medley of sounds, mainly the buzzing of insects, occasionally interrupted by the splashes of frogs leaping into a nearby lake.
Alex activated his Divine Sense to map his surroundings, receiving a 3D layout of the area. He quickly pinpointed the locations of the monsters. Rather than waiting for them to come to him, he decided to move toward them; after all, this was a hunt.
Moving swiftly, Alex reached the monsters' location, where three Blood Orcs surrounded a dying goblin, having seemingly toyed with it until its last breath. Unlike regular orcs, Blood Orcs had red skin and stood nearly four meters tall, exuding power and a violent demeanor.
As they detected Alex's arrival, they growled menacingly. However, just as they prepared to charge, they froze in place as bullets pierced through their heads in a matter of seconds.
Alex had fired the rounds from his magic gun.
He then ventured deeper into the forest, quickly encountering a group of five monsters. Landing in the midst of them, he took action.
Five shots, five deaths.
Like a grim reaper, he moved through the group, dispatching each monster in his path. None of the creatures here posed any real threat to him; it felt as if he were simply strolling through a park. Like a hurricane, he swept through the first floor, eliminating over fifty Blood Orcs and seventy Goblins in his wake. He truly obliterated everything on the first floor. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
Edna's familiar was taken aback to see Alex clearing the first floor so quickly; he had completed it in under five hours. At this pace, he could potentially clear all five floors in less than three days. However, the higher floors would present greater challenges, and the next one would not be so easy to conquer.
After passing through the door from the first floor to the second, Alex found himself in an entirely different world. Before him stretched an expanse of sand, endless and shimmering under the harsh light of an artificial sun that hung brightly in the sky. The temperature soared, enveloping him in an oppressive heat that made the grains of sand glisten as if they were tiny gems scattered across the landscape.
The air was thick and dry, and the horizon seemed to blur in the distance, creating an almost surreal atmosphere. Dunes rose and fell like waves, casting long shadows that offered little relief from the relentless sun. As he took his first steps into this sandy realm, Alex could feel the heat radiating up from the ground, and he knew that this floor would be a different kind of challenge.
Through his Divine Sense, Alex sensed five monsters surging toward him from beneath the shifting sands. In an instant, gigantic sandworms erupted from the ground, their massive bodies coiling and writhing as they attempted to swallow him whole. Their gaping maws, lined with jagged, saw-like teeth, opened wide in a grotesque display of hunger.
Reacting swiftly, Alex used his magic gun, which responded eagerly by siphoning his magical energy. He activated a special bullet, infusing it with the Ice element to create a chilling projectile. With Super Accuracy guiding his aim, he focused intently on the open mouths of the monstrous sandworms, calculating the precise moment to fire.
The first bullet shot forth like a bolt of lightning, striking true. It penetrated the mouth of the nearest sandworm, and in an instant, the creature's flesh froze solid, encasing it in a glistening layer of ice. The other worms, undeterred by the fate of their companion, lunged at him in a frenzy, but Alex was ready. He fired again and again, each ice bullet finding its mark, sealing the monstrous creatures into unyielding ice sculptures before they even realized what had transpired.
The battle was over in mere moments. The once fearsome sandworms lay still, encased in ice, their menacing forms transformed into silent statues. Alex stepped forward, surveying his handiwork with a sense of grim satisfaction. The rapidity of his actions had rendered them powerless, and he had emerged unscathed.
However, he did not linger long. The desert was vast, and he could sense more creatures lurking beneath the surface, drawn by the commotion. He took a moment to gather his thoughts, contemplating the nature of this floor and its inhabitants. The sandworms had been formidable in size and strength, but they had been no match for his skill and preparation. He knew that the deeper he ventured into this realm, the more dangerous the foes would become.
With a determined stride, Alex moved onward, the endless sea of sand stretching before him. As he journeyed, he remained vigilant, aware of the shifting terrain and the potential threats that lay beneath the surface. The sun beat down relentlessly, and sweat dripped from his brow, but he pressed forward, driven by the thrill of the hunt and the promise of unknown challenges ahead.
Many Sand Worms as well various other monsters such A Desert Wolves attacked him but they were killed before getting closer, he mostly relied on the Ice bullets to deal them heavy damage.
He took him four hours to clear this floor, in total he took barely eight hours to clear two floors. This isn't a Raid but a massacre.
