Divine Emperor of Death-Chapter 4303 Dreadful Wisteria
Chapter 4303 Dreadful Wisteria
The Six-Headed Hydra's laughter echoed through the void, shaking the space with a deep, guttural rumble. His massive, obsidian-scaled body radiated an oppressive force, his six-pair of crimson eyes gleaming with mockery.
Wisteria frowned.
She didn't like being looked down upon.
The Six-Headed Hydra's laughter suddenly died down. He unleashed his undulations but the spirit before didn't seem rocked at all, much less was swayed and drifted away. It instantly gave him so doubt as to how powerful it could be.
He harrumphed and opened all his six mouths and had a set of razor-sharp jaws that could tear apart anything it came across. Six balls of dark light glowed inside his mouth before their heads all simultaneously whipped and shot toward the spirit.
Wisteria still floated there, looking uncaring.
Her misty, grayish-black form pulsed with a strange rhythm. She flickered like a ghost phasing through objects through the dark space, her hollow white eyes devoid of emotion.
The six rays of dark light passed through her figure but they didn't seem to have attacked her as she slipped and appeared before the Six-Headed Hydra, her ghostly form hovering above one of his heads.
She raised her hand, cadaveric yin energy full of decay spreading throughout the area. There was neither a violent burst of energy nor was it a grand display of power. Instead, the very fabric of space around them started to wilt, giving her the ultimate darkness of the void. A sickening sound spread throughout the battlefield, a deep, fleshly squelch. One of the hydra's heads twitched violently as it blackened and withered. Its scales turned brittle, flaking off in chunks.
The soul inside that head also decayed away.
The head then withered away to the neck when the hydra's hand rapidly caught the neck and cut it off.
"What!?"
The other five surviving hydra heads roared in horror.
No matter what- the energy this damned lowly spirit unleashed was too powerful. No one would've expected a Dark Cadaveric Ghost Spirit to be that strong!
Nonetheless, he already jumped back with his huge frame, crushing and sending the battleships flying in his wake.
Wisteria silently followed suit.
She didn't make a single sound. She chased him around like a ghost, never leaving his side. She stayed right above his head as though she was
"Insolent!"
disease that stuck to him.
The Six-Headed Hydra unleashed his illusion technique. He has lived for a long time and can unleash techniques that even humans can unleash.
'Shattering Soul Mindscape!"
The void trembled as the Six-Headed Hydra's illusion technique unfurled.
A formless wave rippled through space, distorting reality itself. The darkness around them twisted, shadows expanding and contracting unnaturally. Wisteria's form flickered as the illusion wrapped around her, attempting to ensnare her within a fabricated world of endless nothingness.
It was an ability powerful enough to strip an opponent of their will, trapping them in a sea of illusions that consumed their spirit, leaving only a husk behind.
It was perfect for attaining an intact corpse so that he could enjoy the meat as slowly as he wanted.
But Wisteria merely... blinked.
Her hollow white eyes did not waver.
The illusions wilted.
The vast illusionary world conjured by the Six-Headed Hydra began to rot, its fake scenery degrading into decay as if time itself had corroded its foundation. The space returned to its dark nature, the stars reappeared, and the cracked battlefield reappeared before Wisteria.
The hydra's five heads trembled.

"This shouldn't be happening.' He thought.
Illusions were meant to be undetectable, to bend the mind and trick the senses and make them fall into a hopeless situation where a simple soul strike from the same technique would deal with them. The Shattering Soul Mindscape Technique contained even an even more deadly soul-shattering strike within it but it was unable to harm the spirit before him.
Wisteria hadn't just resisted it- she had infected the illusion with her cadaveric yin energy.
It wasn't like she was fully immune to illusions, but most kinds of illusions don't hold a candle to cadaveric yin energy that stems from corpses. How could a corpse be put into an illusion casily?
Wisteria had always been a corpse-type darkness spirit.
She had become a Spirit Attribute Source as she had been born from the collective corpse field of Darkfall Spiders. They were a regressive descendant species of the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid. Hence, it could be said that she has some fate with the Chromatic Hex Arachnids.
After she ate many resources, she evolved to become a Dark Cadaveric Ghost Spirit, ranked third in the Immortal Emperor Grade Charts. She could harness corpse yin energy and darkness energy. Furthermore, she had learned to infuse the properties of decay to her corpse yin energy and finally learned decay energy after eating the pill Tina, Dalila and Myria made for her.
Her powers of decay had been very effective against living things. Due to her corpse-like nature, she was also moderately immune to illusions. As long as the enemy's prowess doesn't exceed hers, they could mostly forget about capturing her in
an illusion.
Wisteria's purplish-black lips curled into a faint sneer.
By the time the Six-Headed Hydra realized, she was already withering away his third
and fourth heads.
"Noo! Bastard Morten! What are you doing!? Help!"
The Six-Headed Hydra gave a helpless yet furious cry as he called out to Ancestor
Morten.
He found out that even with the amazing regenerative speed of his Six-Ileaded Hydra bloodline, the decay energy wasn't allowing it to heal. Even if it healed, the regenerated part quickly withered away. However, that wasn't the most frightening
thing.
Out of his six souls, three had already faded.
To a Six-Headed Hydra, a soul was like one life, so having three robbed from him made him die three times already without dying. He was scared shitless. His darkness energy was unable to break through the decay energy that wreaked havoc in his body. One of his hands had already withered away.
He used one head to turn and look at Ancestor Morten.
However, he saw him be already subdued by an Azure Tree woman. Numerous branches wrapped around Ancestor Morten even though he tried to burn them off. However, these purifying flames didn't cause too much damage. They were mostly effective against curses and hexes.
Perhaps if he had been as powerful as Wisteria, he might have been able to counter her cadaveric yin with those purifying flames. Unfortunately, he was locked.
"You dare!?"
The Six-Headed Hydra roared at that Azure Tree woman, not even knowing who she was. The Azure Tree Realm Master herself hadn't made a move against him, but this
little tree dared to obstruct him!?
The Azure Tree woman didn't respond.
She pulled on her branches, and they crushed Ancestor Morten within, breaking his bones. He was thoroughly subdued.
