Chapter 6583: Beauty In The Coffin

The winding road led to the unknown, surrounded by cliffs on both sides. Li Qiye eventually came across a cave that no one else could have spotted.

It seemed to be moving and the entrance disappeared after they went inside. Chilling energy strands wafted inside, looking like ethereal fog.

They were cold enough to seal everything including Teng Sujian.

“Follow me carefully if you want to live, lest you become an ice sculpture.” Li Qiye said.

As they delved deeper, they saw the source of the chilling energy - a coffin covered in ice capable of stopping all attacks.

“Oh?” Li Qiye approached and observed the situation, slightly frowning.

She followed behind him and was surprised to see a woman in the coffin. No, an immortal.

Her beauty wasn’t just in her looks but also aura. She wore a green gown with a rippling glow. A gem was affixed to her forehead - a deep green like the cosmos.

Time came to a stop while she was in the coffin. Just one glance at her was enough to be unforgettable.

Teng Sujian was a beauty herself, gorgeous enough to be described with the phrase, kingdom-toppling. However, she paled compared to the woman in the ice coffin, not worth mentioning.

“Who is she?” She became startled.

They walked on a winding path and came into this cave somehow to find this coffin.

Meanwhile, Li Qiye observed the woman.

“Is she dead?” Sujian asked again because this would be a shame.

The ice was unbreakable and sealed but it vanished once Li Qiye touched it. He then removed the gem on her forehead, revealing a small hole leading to her skull.

Although this tiny hole seemed insignificant, it instantly caused this celestial-like woman to become terrifying once exposed. It was a shocking sight as if her face had suddenly become distorted and grotesque.

"This is...” Teng Sujian was so scared her soul nearly fled. She cried out in horror and stumbled back several steps.

“She’s dead...” Her face turned chalky white as she spoke with trembling words. The contrast was shocking.

Li Qiye put the gem back and the woman became transcendent again.

“Do you know who she is?” Sujian asked, unable to calm down.

“It’s an interesting topic.” Li Qiye smiled and left the cave without answering.

Once outside, Sujian realized this was a different location. She followed him and somehow entered a second cave.

Inside was another ice coffin with an identical woman.

“Weren’t we just here?” Sujian asked.

Li Qiye removed the gem and exposed the hole.

“Yes, the same one.” Sujian said confidently.

“No, it’s a different one.” Li Qiye said.

“How can you tell?” She asked.

“She’s wearing a different ring on her finger.” Li Qiye said.

Sujian took a look and sure enough, there was a ring with a blue gem on the woman’s finger. It wasn’t there before.

Li Qiye left and she followed behind him back to the winding path. They came inside a third cave to find another coffin.

She learned her lesson and checked the woman’s fingers first. This one had a beryl ring, different from before.

However, why were all these women identical? Could they be twins?

Li Qiye removed the gem on the forehead to expose the hole.

“What is this hole? The fatal wound?” Sujian asked softly.

“Yes, something drilled out of her mind.” Li Qiye said.

“From the mind...” She was horrified: “What was it?”

She stared at the hole, wondering if something would come out and drill into her.

“Don’t worry, you’re not the host.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“It’s a parasite?” She instinctively came closer to Li Qiye. The unique scent of a man made her feel safe and bashful.

“Let’s go.” Li Qiye left again while she followed obediently, ready to go wherever he went.
