Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking-Chapter 561: Returning with a Daughter-in-law
--
Cedric could've started with calling Silas, actually...
He could've told him about Gilderoy's matter and asked what could be done to satisfy both parties. There was no need for him to go to the Mystic World Tree Realm with his sons to make a scene.
It would be easy to say that he had better excuses for doing this instead, but in truth? He just really wanted to show off in front of his children. He wanted them to know that their old man was reliable and strong as hell. Cedric doesn't do this very often since he prefers to stay low-profile most of the time, but these were his kids. Besides, Gilderoy didn't do anything wrong. Seeking justice on his behalf was his duty as a parent, and if he could show off his strength and reputation while he's at it, that's even better.
And that's precisely what he achieved.
It wasn't just his children that were shocked when they saw him being friendly to the Mystic Fae Chancellor. Any Mystic Fae, common or Archfae, would be too. Even more shocking was that the Mystic Fae Chancellor didn't mind at all. In fact, he's doing the same.
What is a 'Chancellor'?
Oh, it's nothing much. It's just a title that 'The Six' uses to refer to the leader of their people. The ultimate decision-maker that determines the prosperity of their respective race for the centuries to come.
Such a person acting all friendly to what they thought was a nobody, though? Now that...that subverted their worldview.
What followed next was a blur to Gilderoy and his brothers, and to Allura as well.
They remembered seeing Silas, the Mystic Fae Chancellor, smiling and sharing a brotherhood handshake with Cedric, which made them feel like they're dreaming. They also remembered all the Archfae involved in this drama being banished temporarily, with Silas declaring and promising Cedric that he would personally deal with them.
Then, Silas invited them to the World Tree to have a meal. Here, Cedric introduced children to Silas, and the latter made them a VIP of the Mystic Fae race right then and there. This status allows them to freely go to any Mystic Fae territory while being treated as honored guests. This also applies to Allura, Cedric, and his wives.
Afterwards, Silas himself declared that Allura was free. He personally signed an edict that states that she wouldn't be forced to acquiesce to the Clan Restoration Act, especially since she was never officially baptized as a Mystic Fae anyway, and she wasn't interested in becoming one.
Silas also gave her material compensation for all the physical and emotional duress she experienced during her captivity and promised her that he would appropriately deal with all of the parties involved.
The couple, including Godwym and Gerald, was almost certain that they were dreaming about this, but everything was proven to be real. Well, they can't be blamed. 'The' Big Man of the Mystic Fae himself doing all of this for them was but a wild dream to them, yet it's happening in reality.
Cedric's children couldn't help but look at their father in a different light. Who could've known that their old man's face was this valuable? So valuable that even the Mystic Fae Chancellor had to give him an explanation for indirectly crossing him.
It made them wonder just what the hell their father did during the past 10 years that he's been away to become this awesome.
In the end, Cedric and his party parted with Silas in a merry mood. They saw Cedric whispering something to Silas, which made the Chancellor's eyes shine resplendently. They shared another brotherly handshake before Cedric took all of them away, returning to Solaris Prime.
Upon landing on the Sky Castle, Cedric announced their presence by shouting, "We're home!!"
Immediately, three ladies came out of the castle. Seeing them, Allura was stunned. She had never seen such beautiful fairies in her entire life. Even the prettiest of the Mystic Faes will look rather bland and ordinary when placed right next to him.
Her eyes met with the lady with black and green hair. Inwardly, she couldn't help but point out the resemblance. There was no mistaking it; this must be Gilderoy's mother.
"This is her right?" Chrissy asked her husband and son, "My daughter-in-law?"
Allura and Gilderoy blushed at her straightforward question.
"Well, not officially yet, no. They'd have to get married first," Cedric teased. "But if you're talking about our son's sweetheart, then yes, this is indeed her."
"Oh! Oh my! Look at you." Chrissy sounded concerned as she studied her appearance. "Come, let's get inside to warm up. You feel as if you're going to start fading right before my eyes."
Allura then found herself being whisked away by her future mother-in-law and her fellow wives. She was overwhelmed, to be honest, and she tried asking Gilderoy for help with her eyes, but he just stared lovingly at her.
'You're in good hands, don't worry,' he said to her via voice transmission.
And so, she could only allow herself to be carried away to her new home here in Prime Earth. Seeing the girls gone, Cedric sighed and said:
"Well, that's one matter dealt with."
"Thanks, Dad. Seriously." Gilderoy looked emotional as he said this.
There were so many ways this could've gone wrong without his father's help. Hell, it might not even be possible for him to get close to where Allura was being kept even if he risked his life doing so.
That's why he's incredibly grateful to have Cedric's help in this. Because without him, none of this would've been possible.
"You're welcome, Son." Cedric grinned at his boy, draping his arm around him and ruffling his hair, just like the old times.
"Though you three have to understand that I can't do big things like this all the time," Cedric calmly stated to them. "Once or twice, I can interfere. You must keep in mind that this was the adventure and life you chose for yourselves. You know the drill, right?"
"Don't put ourselves in a situation we can't get out of with our own abilities." His sons echoed at the same time.
"Awesome." Cedric nodded approvingly. "You can rely on me at certain times, but you're all adults now. You are carrying responsibilities that you willingly shouldered."
"But the most important thing, in the end, is still your personal strength," Cedric preached to them. "I was able to do those things because I was strong enough, and that strength brought me reputation."
"This isn't me pressuring you to recklessly pursue strength or breakthroughs. I'm just reminding you of this age-old truth, that's all."
Cedric then poked their foreheads and transferred the knowledge of the Cosmic Furnace to them. This one was slightly different from the one Roderika imparted to him because this includes his insights, which his sons could use as a reference.
Additionally, it is also modified to prepare them for the Void Refinement Realm, so it was truly different from the one Cedric received in the past.
"The Cosmic Furnace Spell is something that's usually only given to those who reached the summit of the Grand Solar Sage Realm to help them prepare for the Transitional Realm."

"However, I discovered a better way. Think of it as my most valuable inheritance to you three. Practice and master it as you continue cultivating. Once you're ready, I'll reveal the next part of this inheritance to you. Understand?"
"Yes, Dad." The three of them chorused.
"Alright, go attend to your personal business. I have something else to take care of."
After saying that, Cedric just disappeared from their sight without them knowing how.
"Man, that's so cool." Godwyn sighed in envy, recalling how domineering their father was. "If I could do even half of the things Dad can do, I'd be set for life."
"Aren't you aiming a little too low?" Gerald raised a brow at this. "Didn't we all agree to surpass his achievements back in the day?"
"Do you still think that it's possible?" Godwyn rolled his eyes at his brother. "He's like twenty steps ahead of us, and he's certainly not slowing down his pace for our sake. Face it, Dad's one hell of a monster. We can only try our best to keep up with him at our pace."
"Besides, it's not like he's going to disown us just because we can't keep up with him. He loves us a little too much to do that."
Godwyn uttered no lie, so Gerald couldn't exactly refute him.
Then, their attention shifted to their brother, who was rendered silent. They both guessed that he must be overwhelmed by everything that has happened even though it all turned out well.
It wouldn't be wrong to say that Gilderoy passed through heaven and hell multiple times in a single day. Even though everything turned out favorable to him, he couldn't be blamed for feeling overwhelmed after going through all of that.
It was here that Gilderoy suddenly looked up at them with an uncertain expression on his face and asked them:
"So...do either of you have any advice for me on how I should propose to Allura?"
"Aaaand, I'm out. Bye." Gerald fled after hearing his inquiry.
"Ooo! Tsk. That's rough, brother...but not really my thing, sorry, so...toodaloo!" Godwyn followed shortly.
This left Gilderoy alone to face this dilemma, and he could only sigh about it.
