Fantasy Realm – Infinite Worlds Adventure-Chapter 276: Terrifying Battlefield
Alex stares with a menacing expression toward Aragog, who really took the bait—which, in this case, was merely mentioning Hagrid’s name.
What a stupid spider. Jewel, you are so much better! Two more seconds!
Thank you, Dearest Soulmate—however, Princess Jewel senses the Corruption influencing this ugly, mutated Peasant.
A purple-colored aura suddenly pours into Aragog, streaming from a small tunnel that leads deeper into the nest. Aragog’s eyes return to their former violet hue, and it unleashes a shrieking tone, high-pitched and furious.
He has commanded his children to protect him!
“Plan B, attack! Attack from a distance! FIRE ANYTHING YOU GOT,” Alex screams as he turns around, already backing off.
Meanwhile, around two dozen Acromantulas throw themselves in front of Aragog, who, for a strange reason, does not move at all. The spiders hiss, their many eyes locked onto Alex and his group.
The grenades explode.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The sound of ten explosions occurring nearly at the exact same time echoes through the dome, the force of the blasts shaking the ground beneath them.
Alex’s vision floods with notifications—most of the two dozen Acromantulas actually die instantly, their bodies torn apart as they took the explosions head-on, their position close enough to get engulfed by the flames, concussive force, and deadly shrapnel.

You have dealt 6 damage to Aragog.
You have dealt 7 damage to Aragog.
You have dealt 5 damage to Aragog.
You have caused a bleeding to Aragog.
…
Alex shakes his head, snapping back to reality.
Screw those numbers! The fight is starting now. At least I know even the larger ones are just ‘normal Acromantulas.’ It’s good to know there isn’t a champion around either. Also, Aragog got slightly hurt. Its armor is not very thick—the shrapnel dealt a decent amount of damage, and I seem to have hit one of his eyes, causing major bleeding!
Suddenly, the inner wall of the Dome of Corruption begins to glow, as if a switch has been flipped. The eerie light spreads across the stone, pulsing like a living thing.
Alex’s breath catches.
As far as I can tell, the walls are slowly closing in. The entrance is no longer accessible.
No exit! It’s do or die.
Be careful, Jewel. Let’s regroup. For now, don’t do anything stupid—the Corruption is unpredictable. It seems almost alive, as if ordering the Acromantulas around.
“You will all die!” Aragog’s menacing voice screams, obviously in pain, as it was also hit by the shrapnel. The giant spider’s legs twitch erratically, one of its many eyes leaking dark fluid.
Alex quickly rushes back to the group of players and allied Centaurs, his boots kicking up dust, and webs as he slides into position.
The shaky temporary alliance—consisting of human players, Centaurs, and a single spider—now faces the remaining swarm of Acromantulas, who all begin to cry out in unison before charging forward, their many legs a blur of motion.
Alex doesn’t hesitate.
He draws [Magoroth’s Legacy] and conjures Magorian’s Rage Arrow lvl 4 with 5 Rage Illusion stacks, combining it with Fire Arrow lvl 4 before enhancing the attack with Shu. He fires toward the swarm, the 26 arrows burning with azure flames, fly through the air like like a storm of arrows.
You have dealt 44 damage to Acromantula.
You have dealt 38 damage to Acromantula.
You have dealt 41 damage to Acromantula.
You have dealt 44 damage to Acromantula.
You have dealt 51 damage to Acromantula.
You have killed Acromantula.
…
Every single blue-flamed, glowing arrow hits a target. Despite the arrows only dealing 50% of the original damage, thanks to his gold-quality weapon, high STR, all his skills enhancing his ranged combat ability, Fire Arrow lvl 4, and Shu, the arrows still deal a bit less than 50 damage on average—a massive amount of damage!
Alex’s single attack was enough to kill a total of 4 Acromantulas and injure a few more, also causing the surrounding web to momentarily ignite in a blue inferno before quickly turning red, the flames spreading hungrily.
Meanwhile, Jewel, still perched on Alex’s head, uses Thornback Poison Spit lvl 4 to deal ranged damage as well, her venomous attack melting through the skin of the Acromantulas and adding to the chaos, causing terrible injuries.
The Centaurs fire their bows in perfect unison, the soldiers unleash a volley of gunfire, and the rest of the group uses whatever abilities they can in a desperate attempt to stop the approaching Acromantula horde.
Alex spots Tereza flying around in the air, her movements agile as she avoids incoming webs shot at her. She focuses on the flanks of the approaching Acromantulas, attacking with Incendio, dealing fire damage and causing a similar-sized inferno as Alex did. She repeats Incendio again and again, targeting the ground until a large-sized inferno is created—obviously deadly for every Acromantula that is caught inside of it.
Rishi, meanwhile, decides to just spam the AoE variant of Fire lvl 4, over and over again, causing significant AoE damage as well as creating more flames, hindering the Acromantulas’ advance.
Despite their best efforts, the Acromantulas, with their huge HP pools, are nearly upon the players, their mouths dripping with poison.
Alex doesn’t waste time.
He throws his remaining three Annihilation Grenades lvl 4, the explosives arcing through the air before detonating in a chain reaction of destruction.
Another half-dozen Acromantulas fall, their bodies torn apart, and countless others are seriously injured, limbs missing, ichor splattering the ground.
But the numbers are still overwhelming.
There are still around 50 Acromantulas left, most of them seriously wounded but still very much capable of killing.
A few scared players quickly flee, adopting Rishi’s tactic of retreating to a safer distance.
Alex, left without a shield, decides to flee as well, his mind racing for the next move.
-
These 50 Acromantulas are all wounded! Just a few more AoE attacks and they fall! We need to kill them fast! My bow is the strongest attack we have!
Rishi loudly commands: “Protect Alex! He can kill multiple Acromantulas each time he fires his bow!!”
A few players, including Rishi, Ben, and the female player with Alex’s [Sword of Pluto] and [Shield of Pluto], surround Alex as he slowly prepares the very same combo with his bow he used earlier.
The Acromantulas specifically decide to target Alex, obviously commanded to do so by Aragog himself.
Alex, with no efficient way to aim properly without attacking his allies, decides to do a powerfulNen-jump shooting into the air and firing the arrow from the air, allowing him to unleash a well-aimed arrow-storm with nearly every single arrow hitting a target, while the others ignite the ground where they land.
You have dealt 43 damage to Acromantula.
You have dealt 35 damage to Acromantula.
You have dealt 47 damage to Acromantula.
You have dealt 43 damage to Acromantula.
You have dealt 41 damage to Acromantula.
You have killed Acromantula.
…
However, Alex, targeting the most enemies possible, sees that the Acromantulas that charged towards him have managed to push his allies back. As he slowly descends back to the ground, he sees multiple Acromantulas aiming for him. One even uses the others as a ladder, violently jumping at Alex.
Thankfully, Jewel, using Thornback Poison Spit lvl 4, this time fully enhanced by Limitless Legacy lvl 4, infused with a scary amount of AURA, manages to fire it into the approaching Acromantula’s face, making it scream in pain as its face is quickly assaulted by the acidic poison and causing it to cease any attack, failing to hit Alex.
Shit! I can’t use my Icewing Embrace this quickly! I can't protect myself!!
As Alex is about to land in the middle of multiple Acromantulas, a fully transformed Tereza grabs him, pulling him—with Jewel on his head—back into the air!
Alex sighs in relief as he quickly climbs onto her back and continues to fire more arrows down.
Many Centaurs and also a few players are seemingly heavily wounded, unconscious, or worse, dead.
However, most remaining Acromantulas quickly fall as Alex, using just single arrows to conserve AURA, delivers insanely accurate and deadly shots from atop Tereza, using up less than a single point of his AURA each time.
“Nice Tereza! Keep it up! I hadn’t thought of this!”
The player-centaur alliance is slowly killing the remaining Acromantulas, Alex’s bow—a cheat-like weapon at this point—dealing incredible damage!
However, Alex sees that one of the female players doesn’t notice the inner wall, slowly moving closer to the center of the nest.
Suddenly, she is engulfed by the Corrupted Energy, and her body disintegrates into nothingness, not even able to scream.
“GET AWAY FROM THE WALLS!!!” He screams, using Nen to enhance his voice.
Shit, this is a timed battle—we need to end this quickly!
Alex, deciding to be sneaky, unleashes an evil smile, caught up in the thrill of battle.
Using his most powerful combo, despite the cost—especially the huge investment in terms of AURA from Magorian’s Rage Arrow lvl 4 and Shu—Alex unleashes another full combo, using those two abilities in combination with Fire Arrow lvl 4.
Jewel! Keep me safe!
Yes, Soulmate!
This time, however, Alex’s arrow looks different. In fact, he decides to use the special effect of his weapon.

Alex’s body suddenly goes limp. Jewel, however, reacts by using her web to tightly secure Alex to Tereza’s back so he doesn’t fall off.
Alex did numerous tests with his Spiritual Arrow ability, so he is used to the feeling.
The arrow Alex initially fired randomly turns around, pretending to hit one of the Acromantulas in the middle of the battlefield—specifically one that is injured and no longer capable of quickly walking—before it suddenly unnaturally shifts toward Aragog himself.
Before it reaches him, the arrow unleashes its Rage illusions and turns into 26 azure-burning arrows, causing Alex to lose the connection with it and return to his body.
Aragog, looking surprised and even frightened, sees the 26 arrows with its many eyes, unleashing a terrifying scream.
