Of course, if they wanted to build a city here, there would be problems!

The first problem would be the one mentioned by Rose Thorns; exploring a ruin like this will fully require too much capital for the time being!

This was a zone with at least a few thousand square kilometers, 20 times larger than Lu Conglomerate City. Moreover, it has a section on the surface and underground!

More importantly, for players on the current stage, the level of the monsters in this place is simply too high!

A gap of over 20 levels. If they were to forcefully explore this area, the death rate was bound to be frighteningly high!

Moreover, Nightless City Club had too little players. It was impossible for them to succeed in exploring the place. But if they were to hire outsiders like Lu Conglomerate City, the price to pay at their current stage is just too high.

Although they could choose a smaller zone to build their city in the beginning, an area that was not registered into the system will still continue to spawn monsters.

Normal monsters were fine but if the surroundings of the city had a few nests of Level-70 boss monsters, the problem would be huge!

If they did not deal with the top-notch boss monster, it would pose a huge risk to the city in the future.

And if they were to deal with it, with the players' equipment and levels at this stage, they would need at least 10,000 players. And the key issue was that even if they did manage to kill the boss monster, it would simply just respawn.

There were many other issues they would face for building their city in the middle of the desert, a clear disadvantage for them.

A few of which are temperature and transportation uncertainties, and whether NPCs were willing to enter was another huge problem... Apart from those, water sources will be one of the greatest problems they will face for building their city in the desert.

In the game, whether they were a player or an NPC, they needed to eat and drink to maintain their stamina. A city with millions of people staying in it will need shockingly large amounts of water. Therefore, a city in the middle of the desert would definitely make it difficult to provide such amounts of water!

Furthermore, even though this place was in the "depths" of Death Desert, this so-called "depths" was only relative to the Storm City's position on one side only.

If the other side of Death Desert where Death Forest was located was considered, the distance from the place to the edge of the desert is only around a hundred miles!

Another thing that needed to be mentioned is that Death Forest is no longer the largest forest on the planet. Instead, it is now only a small fraction left of its original size after the war - it is not even one-tenth of its original size.

Nonetheless, despite the fact that it is now only one-tenth of its original size, it is still considered a fairly large subtropical forest.

Similar to Death Desert, the area around it is categorized as maps with high-level monsters with levels 70 and above. Moreover, since the forest is in a location suited for many species, the monster density and variety of species in Death Forest is a lot higher than that in Death Desert!

However, this will not affect our plans for building the city.

After all, the city building is already within a high-level map, adding a few more monsters will not have much effect.

One factor that will greatly affect the building of the city is the non-governmental NPC armed faction called the Freedom Flag which controls the main domain of Death Forest!

Although that organization did not have the strength to face the Federation Government head-on like the rebel army, it still has some similarities as both groups liked to attack players from the Federation camp!

Moreover, with Nightless City Club's current strength, it was clear that they were no match to an armed NPC faction, even if it is just a third-rate NPC faction!

...

All these problems would be very difficult to solve.

Feng Luo thought to himself.

However, if a spaceship really is hidden in this ruin, then at the very least, two of the problems could be solved easily as we can use the spaceship as leverage to borrow the strength of the NPCs!

War gave players a high degree of freedom. A spaceship is extremely important to the Federation government and it was apparent, given how they advertise it very well; they will definitely be able to get a lot of things in return for the spaceship.

...

"Be careful! Monsters!"

Mu Zi, who was walking in front suddenly screamed a warning.

"Bang!"

"-4234!"

Feng Luo's mind started racing when Mu Zi shouted, but he was able to quickly lock eyes on the target, and Wings of Death's muzzle quickly shifted towards the target too.

The Legendary-Grade bracelet projected that it was a Level-75 Elite-Grade spider-like monster with anti-detection ability sitting on top of the corridor ceiling on its screen. Their Detection skill was able to detect it too, allowing them to find it. A bullet struck the Level-75 monster and green blood-like liquid splattered onto the ground. This caused the monster to fall heavily on the ground!

Feng Luo had the ability to minimize the amount of effort needed to fight even as his thoughts raced about something else because of another brain domain "evolution"!

"Squeak!"

However, even though the Level-75 monster was hit, the bullet did not strike a vital point. The Elite-Grade spider only lost one-tenth of its over 40,000 HP, and it was not afraid of the players at all despite their decent equipment and considerable battle strength.

It squealed at them and leapt back onto the corridor wall. Then, it crawled along the wall and charged at the players.

"Squeak, squeak..."

A few more squeals could be heard reverberating through the corridor.

Eventually, it looked like they had entered the domain of gregarious monsters which were all over Level-70!

...

In the giant underground corridor in the ruin...

"Bang!"

A centipede-looking monster over three meters long was shot by Feng Luo. The bullet struck its glowing purple carapace.

"Puff!"

The B-Grade Deflagration Armor-piercing bullet exploded and the flammable liquid inside the bullet ignited causing the thumb-thick feelers on the giant centipede's head to catch fire.

Without using psionic energy, Feng Luo fired three shots before finally crushing the shell on the head of the Level-79 Elite-Grade creature, causing the centipede to squirm like crazy on the ground in the plaza, hundreds of its black ten centimeters long legs to scratch at the ground!

"Ta, ta, ta..."

After that, Mu Zi fired consecutive shots to send the centipede with almost 50,000 HP and combat strength comparable to a Level-50 Commander-Grade into the Heavy Injury status.

"Pa!"

Then, One Pillar Skyward finished it up with an Armor Breaking Slash and cut the giant, injured centipede into two, stopping it from moving ever again!

"Phew!"

"Finally, it is done!"

"The Terminal zone is right in front of us!"

Many of One Pillar Skyward's gears had been damaged. His face was covered in dust and he was panting heavily. However, his face was filled with excitement as he looked over at the other five who were also panting heavily.

That's right, five! Apart from One Pillar Skyward, the total number of survivors is only six.

How can a group of Level-50 players embark on a journey of over ten kilometers in a dangerous place like this and not suffer any losses?

The members of Nightless City Club squad were incredibly cautious throughout the journey. However, they still lost four members, Boss Meng, Little Snow, Burnt And Run, as well as Thousand Pound Apex.

And they only had a few encounters with solo type monsters, not even the truly frightening gregarious monster hordes.

In the ruin, they did face gregarious monsters, particularly in locations with plaza-like terrains where they encountered the Level-55 gregarious monster horde called Sand Nematode!

These were far more similar to snakes than giant centipedes as they had black steel wire-like bodies which were smoother than snakes. When it rolls itself up, it can crush a human's armor into pieces, and the horde has more than 10,000 of them!

Moreover, the horde has blocked a road they needed to pass through!

The good thing is that the Ambergris was very effective.

The smell of the black poop-like item is already quite terrible in its normal state but after being ignited, it emanates a fragrant scent that makes one feel great.

By just burning a small chunk of it, about the size of a fist, they were able to chase away the horde of Sand Nematode that had surrounded them... Otherwise, they would never have gotten to where they were now!
