2101 Lost the Hearts of the People!

The angry roar came from an elderly woman. She was dressed in a dignified purple and red fur jacket, and it was clear that she was a respected member of a tribe.

Both men and women in the Iron Hammer Federation needed to participate in mining activities. Thus, many women’s hands were also covered in calluses.

The elderly woman’s hands were slightly wrinkled but otherwise soft. There were no calluses on the surface at all. This meant that she had not worked a day of hard labor in her life.

The elderly lady was so enraged that her eyes had turned red. Her roar lacked any sort of deportment.

The elderly woman had been conversing with the other five pinnacle Class 4 Creation Masters. This meant that she was also a pinnacle Class 4 Creation Master.

Pinnacle Class 4 Creation Masters could use their spiritual energy and soul power to concoct spirit fluids. They possessed much more spiritual power and soul power than regular people.

The more spiritual energy and soul power one possessed, the greater control one would have over one’s emotions.

The elderly woman was not the only one filled with bitter resentment, but the other five pinnacle Class 4 Creation Masters also could not help but scream in a fury, “I always felt that there was something off about the previous king’s death! Ever since Luo Cai took the throne, he hasn’t held a single formal imperial meeting, nor has he worn the crown to greet the snow beast!

“He even issued an order that forces all the tribes to walk to their deaths. He’s despicable! If you ask me, he doesn’t even have the crown!”

The angry scream from the middle-aged man wearing black armor was immediately rebuked by the elderly woman, “He Zhan! All of us were opposed in some manner to Luo Cai’s order. You’re the one who went against us and supported him. How can you say something like this now? If not for you, I would have asked Luo Cai what the meaning behind his order is!”

He Zhan’s jaw fell open, and he was at a loss for words for a few moments.

He had his own motive for helping Luo Cai and going against the other Black Gold tribes.

He Zhan was from the Giant Peak Tribe, which was considered one of the weaker tribes of the seven Black Gold tribes in the Iron Hammer Federation.

It was inevitable that there would be fights over resources amongst a federation’s top factions.

The Giant Peak Tribe always drew the shortest sticks during such fights.

But the Guard Mountain Tribe had supported Luo Cai early on and provided him with significant aid.

Thus, he immediately raised their status when he became ruler of the Iron Hammer Federation. This allowed the Guard Mountain Tribe to surpass the other six Black Gold tribes.

As a result, He Zhan also had the idea of currying favor with the Iron Hammer Federation’s king.

But now, He Zhan saw this idea as ridiculous.

In order for the Giant Peak Tribe to rise in rank in the Iron Hammer Federation, the Iron Hammer Federation first needed to improve and develop.

But now, Luo Cai did not care at all about the Iron Hammer Federation’s benefits and gave such a ridiculous order.

Just the thought of it caused He Zhan to boil with rage.

If He Zhan could stand in front of Luo Cai now, he might not be able to hold himself back from reaching out and cutting down Luo Cai’s head.

He Zhan never liked to be reprimanded.

But now, he had nothing to say against the elderly woman’s admonishments.

The longer He Zhan looked at the five people around him, the guiltier he felt. He bowed deeply to each of them.

“I’m sorry, everyone! I didn’t think things through. If we’re ever able to escape from the sea of flowers, I am willing to lay down the entire Giant Peak Tribe to compensate all of you.”

He Zhan’s words caused the other five pinnacle Class 4 Creation Masters’ expressions to become less sour. None of them continued to reprimand him.

A man holding a large ax patted He Zhan’s shoulder.

“We Black Gold tribes should stick together!”

“Now, you’ve cleared the air with us.”

“If we’re able to escape, we six Black Gold tribes will still be brothers!”

“However, the Gilt Iron Tribe will never forgive the Guard Mountain Tribe!”

The elderly woman wearing the purple and red fur jacket looked at the ax-holding man and said, “The Guard Mountain Tribe is now Luo Cai’s claws. They helped Luo Cai to reassign the experts in the tribe and did a purging of imperial guards. All the imperial guards who weren’t obedient to Luo Cai were killed. I’m sure all of you know this.”

The elderly woman paused before she continued. “I heard that the Guard Mountain Tribe has been leading the imperial guards in helping Luo Cai to hunt down Princess Luo Lan. I was always suspicious of whether the previous king truly passed down the throne to Luo Cai. The previous king was an Immortal expert, and he was in the pink of health during the imperial meeting two months ago.”

The elderly woman sighed.

When she first heard the news, she had believed in this possibility.

However, she did not want to act before the other Black Gold tribes did.

It was well known that no good could come from sticking one’s head out.

But if she had known that they were going to befall the fate they were experiencing today, she would have led her tribe in sticking their head out.

Every Black Gold tribe in the Iron Hammer Federation occupied a piece of fertile land in the Iron Hammer Federation.

Every Black Gold tribe would build a city with their tribe at the center.

In order to ensure that every tribe had access to sufficient resources and attain sufficient expansion, the Black Gold tribes were very far from each other and the royal capital.

As a result, much of the information from the royal capital did not make it to the Black Gold tribes.

The tribes of the Iron Hammer Federation spent their days fighting, mining resources, and gathering food. Thus, they did not wage as much psychological warfare on each other like the factions of the Divine Wood Federation did.

Nonetheless, Luo Cai’s actions had been too impactful.

Besides the elderly woman, several others had also heard of this rumor, and just like her, none of them had wanted to stick their heads out first.

But now that the elderly woman had mentioned the matter and all of their collective displeasure with Luo Cai, all of them were dying to kill Luo Cai.

The ax-wielding man picked up where the elderly woman left off and said, “Luo Cai is mediocre, and the previous king was only nurturing him to be a Guard Captain. All his hopes had been in Princess Luo Lan. Regardless, he shouldn’t have passed on the throne to Luo Cai.”
