Football: What Happened To Going To The Nightclub? I Have To Score-Chapter 387 The End Of The First Half, Leading 2-1!
Chapter 387 - 387 The End Of The First Half, Leading 2-1!
After the restart, Roma's players were visibly shaken.
In the moments that followed, Roma launched a series of intense attacks, aiming to put pressure on Chelsea's defense. As the away team, their goal was clear: to secure at least a point at Stamford Bridge.
Now, with Roma trailing, every player was desperate to find the back of the net.
However, Chelsea, bolstered by their recent goal, had found their rhythm again. They began pressing aggressively in midfield, constantly breaking up Roma's advances.
Within minutes, Chelsea had already thwarted three of Roma's attacking plays.
Time ticked on, and suddenly, only five minutes remained in the first half. Despite Chelsea's tenacious midfield, Roma continued their relentless assault, modifying their tactics to adjust for Chelsea's fierce interceptions.
They reverted to a classic approach: continuous crosses from the wings, aiming to exploit the strengths of their wide players to threaten Chelsea's goal.
In the 45th minute—just as the first half was about to end—Roma mounted another attack down the wing. This time, Perotti received the ball wide.
Up until now, Perotti had had limited opportunities to shine, but this time was different.
When Strootman passed him the ball, Perotti found himself in open space, without a single Chelsea player in his path.
This was his chance.
Without hesitation, he surged forward, speeding down the line with confidence. His acceleration was unmatched, and he reached the byline effortlessly.
In position, Perotti sent in a high, arching cross into the box—an ideal setup for Roma's towering center-forward, Dzeko.
Earlier in the game, Dzeko had already found the net, scoring Roma's first goal. Now, Perotti's cross found him perfectly.
Dzeko leapt high, using his strength to overpower Chelsea's center-back, Gary Cahill, and met the ball with a powerful header.
The ball flew towards Courtois' goal.
But Courtois was in exceptional form tonight. With lightning reflexes, he stretched out his right hand and managed to deflect the ball, preventing Roma from equalizing.

Roma's attack had been shut down once again.
With that, the first half came to a close.
Throughout the first half, Roma's defense had been strong and disciplined. But despite their best efforts, they still found themselves trailing.
During halftime, both coaches used the break to make final adjustments to their tactics.
After a fifteen-minute interval, the second half kicked off!
Chelsea, determined to increase their lead, went on the offensive immediately.
It was clear they weren't content with just a one-goal advantage. They wanted more.
And so, as the second half unfolded, Chelsea's players began to press Roma's goal with relentless intensity.
