From Apocalypse To Entertainment Circle (BL)-Chapter 68: His Darkest Desire
Chapter 68: His Darkest Desire
"Judging by the look on your face, it seems you’ve remembered," Jiang Hangyu remarked an unmistakable gleam of triumph in his eyes. "That makes things easier." He leaned forward slightly, the smoothness of his voice contrasting sharply with the tension in the air.
"To fulfil the requirements for terminating your contract with my company, you’ll need to enrol in a program for an entire month. Don’t worry; I’ll select a very fine place for you during this time. Afterwards, I’ll have your former manager, Su, send you the details and the coordinates." He concluded with a casual wave, a smug smile tugging at his lips. "Well then, enjoy your meal. Goodbye."
As he spoke, Jiang Hangyu radiated an air of victory and delight, wrapping an arm possessively around his lover’s waist as they turned to leave. His expression was one of palpable elation, but he was blissfully unaware of the shift happening in his companion’s demeanour.
Song Zijian stood there, an unsettling storm brewing beneath his charming facade. The angelic features of his face darkened, turning from soft affection to a brooding intensity even more foreboding than Sian’s previous expressions of frustration. [Did I go through all this trouble, scheming to push Sian out of the entertainment industry, only for you to hand him a golden ticket to appear on camera again? Damn it.]
The frustration surged through him, nearly causing him to lose grip on the gentle persona he had crafted over time. He had orchestrated Sian’s downfall meticulously, pushing him out of the industry and fleeing the city as if he were a mere pawn. And yet, now it was the very man he cherished, the one he called his lover, who was offering Sian another chance to bask in the spotlight.
Fate felt like a cruel jest, orchestrating a scene where no matter how hard Song Zijian pushed Sian down, he always managed to rise above the fray. Even after losing it all, Sian not only survived but thrived, supported by a community that cherished him, even achieving the status of a celebrated hero. A powerful figure now regarded him as an extraordinary jewel, rare and valuable.
While nestled in the warmth of Jiang Hangyu’s embrace, Song Zijian concealed the simmering resentment within him. In this new reality, he realized he needed to accelerate his plans—especially now that Sian was not vanishing from sight as he had hoped. He had to meet the illustrious Xia family before Sian did.
This was his singular opportunity to infiltrate the elite circles of the wealthy and, if he played his cards right, finally ensure Sian’s demise in metaphorical ashes beneath his feet.
With narrowed eyes, Song Zijian’s thoughts darkened further. [Sian, if you refuse to disappear from my life, insisting on staying in sight despite everything... I will make certain you vanish entirely from this world.]
---
Once the unwelcome couple departed, Sian sat in the aftermath of the conversation, mourning the carefree, indulgent lifestyle he had grown accustomed to. It was then that he heard Lan Qisheng’s light, teasing voice, slicing through his dismal thoughts.
"What are you so afraid of? Don’t you have me?" Lan Qisheng remarked playfully, his tone laced with amusement. "If you want to terminate the contract, we’ll make it happen. I have a hundred ways to make that idiot agree—whether he likes it or not."
As he spoke, Lan Qisheng flicked Sian’s forehead lightly with his finger, a spark of laughter dancing in his eyes.
For just a moment, Sian’s own eyes glimmered with the light of realization. Of course, how could he forget? The man sitting before him was no ordinary ally—he was a hidden boss, far more powerful than the fool who had just strolled out.
"Alright," he finally said, a smile creeping onto his lips. "Let’s eat first and think about this later."
As the waiter approached with a spread of delicious dishes, Lan Qisheng continued to speak casually, filling the air with warmth and lightheartedness.
And then, as if a spell had been cast, Sian’s worries faded away, delving into the comforting mentality he had adopted:
Food comes first, come what may,
Even if the world fades away.
Lost in the moment, he quickly brushed aside thoughts of work and the turmoil brought on by the insufferable couple. Hours melted away in a haze of laughter and feasting, and when he finally returned home that evening, a broad smile illuminated his face.
During dinner, Sian broached the topic of his contract with Lan Qisheng, drawing from the original host’s memories that made it clear Jiang Hangyu was not fabricating the termination process.
Initially, Sian had adamantly rejected the thought of working; he envisioned a life solely dedicated to indulgence—eating, sleeping, and being carefree for eternity.
However, as his anger simmered down and his thoughts turned to practicality, he understood that such a naive and irresponsible outlook was not feasible in this world. He was now a grown man, with nothing to his name. Without Lan Qisheng’s support and their complicated "relationship," he would struggle to afford even a single meal.
But then, a lingering fear crept into his mind—what if Lan Qisheng grew tired of him? What if he chose to end their arrangement, leaving Sian to fend for himself in a world that had suddenly become quite daunting?

Mini Episode:
Sian, his eyes filled with vulnerability and tears threatening to fall at any moment: "What will I do if you get bored of me and want to throw me away one day? Will I really end up as a beggar, just like that bastard Jiang Hangyu said?"
Lan Qisheng: "No, no, my love! I would never get bored of you. Who in their right mind would ever tire of this angelic, alluring, and absolutely captivating body..."
Sian, his expression shifting to one of anger: "So that’s all you care about? My body? Get away from me! I don’t want you anymore!"
Lan Qisheng, looking panicked and unsure of what to do: "No, no! That’s not what I meant! I love you—you, not just your body. I’ve always loved you. Please, believe me, Sweetheart."
Sian: "Really? Then you’re not with me just because you want my body?"
Lan Qisheng: "Of course not! My love, you wound me—how could you even think that?"
Sian, internally: (Perverted old man...)
But on the outside, he maintained a soft, affectionate look as he sighed and spoke in a gentle voice: "Alright then... I’ll believe you."
Just as Lan Qisheng was about to feel relieved, that sweet, angelic voice rang in his ears once again: "If you can refrain from touching me for a whole month, I’ll believe you completely."
Lan Qisheng: "...What? No! My love, let’s talk about this again!"
Sian, hiding a sly smile, slipped into his room and shut the door behind him.
Sian behind the door: "Finally, some peace... Ahh, my back—I’m going to die. Lan Qisheng you monster."
