Slowly, one by one, the soldiers fell.
Soon, there were only around twenty of them left standing.
Lin Fan deactivated his Centurion Leader ability as it took up a lot of his energy.
By now, he had only half of his energy left after using the Centurion Leader ability and the Hunting Grounds ability.
Which was why he'd always used these two abilities sparingly.
Ahead of him, the captain was still alive, and Lin Fan stared at the captain.
"Stop him! Let me seek help from the Lord Marquis against this devil!" The captain shouted for those left standing to try and stop Lin Fan.
But the soldiers just stood there.
No one had trust in each other anymore after what had happened.
Brothers and friends that had known each other had tried to kill each other just moments ago.
Right now, they were even wary of the captain.
Lin Fan wasn't about to let them stand and stare at each other.
He leaped with his Skybound Stride ability across the ditch up into the air.
He looked down and the captain was staring up at him with his mouth wide open in astonishment.
Boom!
Lin Fan activated his Inferno Comet ability and shot down at the captain in the form of a huge fireball.
The earth exploded and shattered.
Soldiers that were nearby were blown to pieces.
The captain tried to leap away but was caught by the shockwave.
It sent him hurtling into the air and falling onto the magma ground.
His armor glowed and the scriptures on it tried to protect him.
However, the magma was too much for the scriptures.
The intense heat and scorching magma melted the armor.
And the captain's skin and flesh were cooked by the hot melted armor.
"Argh!" He gave out a last gasp of a cry and went silent.
Boom!
Lin Fan punched at the remaining soldiers who tried to run away.
The Qi wave from his punches hit their heads and turned them into a mist of red.
Under the moonlight, Lin Fan looked menacing with all the blood stains on his robes as they flowed in the howling wind.
He wiped the bloodstains off his face and turned back in the direction where Ho Ming went.
Boom.
It took him a few leaps with the Skybound Stride ability before he saw the familiar figure of Ho Ming.
"Lin Fan!" Ho Ming's face brightened up when he saw Lin Fan safe and sound.
"No time to talk, we better get back to Yun Dian City before the Lord Marquis finds out what happened." Lin Fan said.
Ho Ming nodded and they continued on their way.

Yun Dian City.
After a night of travel, they arrived back at the inn.
Lin Fan wasted no time and asked the innkeeper to help purchase a horse carriage.
It would be easier for Huang Shi's brother and Lee Long's uncle to travel in it.
They might not be able to make it if they traveled on horseback.
He gave them Qi and Blood Restoration pills which helped a lot with their wounds.
But their lack of food and nutrition wasn't easily healed without time and care.
"I've got the horse carriage outside ready for your friends." The innkeeper said.
"Thanks." Lin Fan thought for a moment and gave the innkeeper a tael of silver for his help.
"Oh, this is too much. I don't deserve this much." The innkeeper tried to pass the tael of silver back but Lin Fan refused.
He sighed and said, "It's not going to be peaceful around here very soon. You better keep it."
And as Lin Fan was saying this, there were commotions outside the inn.
Soldiers barged in and looked at Lin Fan and the rest.
"All of you stay inside the inn. The Raging Tiger Army is taking over control of Yun Dian City." One of the soldiers said.
Lin Fan walked up to them, gave the soldiers a smile and said, "I'm sorry but we need to get out of here. Just let your General Lu know that it's me, Lin Fan."
"Who are you? There's no exception to the orders!" The soldier shouted at Lin Fan.
Who does he think he is?
A captain not far away heard the commotions and he came over with his men to check.
When he saw who it was, he pulled the soldier back.
"Let them go." The captain said, turned and smiled at Lin Fan.
"Long time no see, you haven't visited my village with me." Lee said with a shrug.
"I will do so when I get the time to. Been busy with things. In fact, we need to get away as soon as possible." Lin Fan looked back at Huang Shi and Lee Long and shrugged.
Lee nodded and said, "All right. You don't want to meet up with General Lu first?"
"Some other day." Lin Fan nodded at Lee and left the inn.
Finally, the soldier realized who Lin Fan was and he gasped.
He pointed at Lin Fan's back as he was getting further away, but no words came out from his mouth.
The tales of what Lin Fan had accomplished to help Lu Ding get his position of General went through his mind.
Yet, there he was, right in front of him.
It was a dream come true for the soldier to be so close to the man himself.

An Xiang Village.
Their travel back to An Xiang Village was uneventful and Huang Shi's brother and Lee Long's uncle had gotten better.
Ho Fu was glad that everyone came back safe and sound.
"Master Ho, thanks so much for the help." Huang Shi bowed at Ho Fu and then turned back to Lin Fan and Ho Ming, "Thanks to young master Lin Fan and young master Ho Ming too."
Lee Long also did the same.
Now with their relatives back safe and sound, they were glad to be able to work with the Ho Family.
In fact, they were planning to increase their cooperation with the Ho Family.
But it was not only that.
Huang Shi then went up to Lin Fan and said, "Young master Lin Fan, I heard you are still single. My daughter is young and around your age..."
