‘Do I continue trading or not?’

From a profit-maximising standpoint, the answer was yes.

After all, the Collector's trade items couldn't be found on the market at all. They were all top-tier equipment and artifacts.

But Yang Yi wasn't particularly keen on selling the potions made by Suna. If he were, he would've made a fortune off them long ago.

The thing that bothered him was the words “original creation by Witch Suna” in the potion descriptions. That alone made him feel uneasy.

At first, he was worried someone might covet the recipes since recipes could drop upon a player's death.

But after viewing Suna’s personal panel, Yang Yi was now certain that a witch openly selling potions would attract huge trouble.

Everything, whether it was the Witch's Blood, the Forbidden Scholar's talents, or the description of the witch gear hinted that witches needed to keep a low profile and conceal their identities.

For example, the witch Ronette had been captured by the Radiant Church.

So, Yang Yi didn’t want to sell the potions, even if only the name was shown. That alone wasn’t safe.

After all, the Nightmare Star had a skill that could spy on other players using ship names and player names, so it wouldn't be surprising if the Radiant Church had a specific spell for tracking witches.

Yang Yi fell silent and didn’t continue the trade. Instead, he asked the Collector a question in the common tongue of humans.

“What do you plan to do with these potions?” he asked.

Although the Collector couldn’t speak, it understood him. The empty hood tilted slightly, as if cocking its head in thought.

Then, with a hand slightly larger than a human’s, it began writing on the bone deck. Its sharp nails scratched marks into the surface with ease.

It only wrote one word “Collect.”

After writing, the Collector continued staring at Yang Yi with its empty hood.

“Uh…”

Yang Yi now realised he had asked a rather silly question. It was like asking an air conditioner technician what they did for a living.

He had just asked the Collector what it does with the things it collects…

But after getting confirmation from the Collector, Yang Yi felt much more at ease. It just wanted the potions for collection, not for trading with other players, or even the local NPCs.

He handed over a regeneration potion, which the Collector accepted. The number of trade attempts dropped to five.

“Wait here a moment. I’ve got more items like this!” Yang Yi told the Collector, then stood up.

The Collector nodded, showing willingness to wait, and then scratched into the deck: “Before dawn”.

Yang Yi understood that meant the trade had to be completed before sunrise.

He glanced at the time, noticing there were still three and a half hours until dawn. That was plenty.

He was going to find Suna. He had only a few kinds of potions left, but she probably had more.

Originally, he hadn’t dared let the Collector out of his sight, worried it might force a trade, but that concern was gone.

This particular Collector, at least, seemed fairly mild-mannered, as long as a forced trade wasn’t triggered.

Yang Yi used his third eye to keep an eye on the Collector while heading towards Suna’s room. Just in time, he ran into her coming out, already geared up.

The noise the Collector made had woken her up too.

“What happened?” she asked.

Yang Yi made a hush gesture and pulled Suna into the room.

They switched to chatting via the system. Yang Yi quickly explained everything that had happened.

“I didn’t summon the Collector!”

“I know! The player who sold that Contract Item is already dead, probably died trading with a Collector. But the one we’ve encountered is different from his. There are many types of Collectors, each with different preferences…”

Yang Yi shared his discovery with Suna and emphasised that this Collector liked potions.

“Do you have any more? If we can, let’s try to make a complete trade — swap everything he’s got. He has a potion that restores mana essence!”

Yang Yi sent the details of the Collector’s trade item to Suna.

After reading it, her crimson eyes lit up.

She wasn’t just interested in the potion, she was interested in the Collector itself.

It might be hoarding a ton of rare treasures. And its body, no doubt, would have immense research value!

Too bad its true form was hidden deep in the sea and extremely powerful…

“Suna?”

Yang Yi gave her a pat to snap her out of it.

“I’ve got some potions ready, but others need to be made. You’ll have to help me. Otherwise, we won’t make it in time,” Suna replied.

She opened her nightstand and pulled out a familiar colourless potion that gave off a faint glow.

“You still have this one?” Yang Yi asked, a bit speechless, as he reached out to take it.
