In the coastal waters of Blackshore, a pale hand suddenly emerged from underwater.

Then, the hand pressed against the surface of the water, allowing the rest of the body to emerge and then magically stand on the surface of the sea.

Rank 3 Spell: Water Stroll!

As the name suggested, this spell allowed the caster to walk on water.

Malcolm Morgan calmly stood on the surface of the water, his expression dark and terrifying. He gazed in the direction of Blackshore, specifically at the dark figure that was rapidly approaching him.

"Constantine!" He spat through gritted teeth.

Truth be told, he had not expected the youth to advance to a Mana Vortex Rank before the fight began.

He believed that he had been very cautious in how he approached this mission personally given to him by the Cult Leader.

And that is why, he had brought four other Rank 3 Magi along with him. Not to mention, the large undead army that each of them commanded.

But despite taking so many precautions, he still fell short!

Not only was Adam now a Magus of the same station as him, but he also commanded an army of serpents that was far greater than the undead army that he and the three other Rank 3 cultists commanded. Combined!

This made him wonder in absolute shock, just how much mana did Adam have in his reserves?

After all, for a summoned creature to be sustained in the material world, the summoner needed to spend their mana.

Moreover, the output of mana significantly increased with the increase in the number of summoned creatures. And if the creature was on the same level as the summoner, then the mana expenditure was exponential.

Adam had not only summoned countless Rank 1 and 2 creatures but also an enormous serpent who had the same strength as him.

Suddenly, Malcolm turned his head in the direction one of his comrades was fighting Nylian Feno.

His eyes narrowed because he sensed his mana signature abruptly being snuffed out.

He knew what this meant.

His eyes narrowed and he coldly muttered, "Now there's only three of us left. Damn that elven bastard! He truly lives up to the name of the Prodigy of Saratoga."

Right then, two of his comrades approached him from the side. Both of them had been sent hurling here because of Adam's attacks.

"Malcolm, that staff he wields…"

"Yes." The emerald-eyed man solemnly nodded. "It's not your average magical artifact. The only way to deal with it is to constantly have yourself enveloped by mana. It would be better if you could dodge his attacks, but I find that highly unlikely."

The other necromancer chimed in, "How are we to restrain him now? If we fight with that intent, we'll be the ones to die. Besides…"

His voice trailed off as he hesitated for a moment before adding, "As much as I hate to admit it, I don't think we can contain him with just the three of us. We need—"

Malcolm interrupted him. "Malak is dead. Nylian Feno killed him just now."

The expressions of the two necromancers grew dark.

Malcolm continued, "Barnabas Booth will not last long against the elf either. As for Wendell Cross, he too will be killed by Daniel Ranzenberg as more time passes.

"That old bastard of Ravenfell is stronger than he lets on. And as for Kissinger… He has a high chance of killing Brigham Flynn. The latter is pathetically weak!"

He paused for a moment before coming up with a battle plan. "We fight Adam and slowly shift the battlefield in the direction Kissinger is fighting. Just to be safe… We can't take any more risks. Understood?"

"Understood!" The two cultists nodded.

Suddenly, one of them asked, "What about that black serpent? It looks… dangerous."

Malcolm thought for a few moments before tossing an octagonal disk at one of them. "Don't worry about the serpent. I'll buy you some time. Summon the aberrant knight!"

The expressions of the two necromancers grew extremely solemn. If they were summoning this creature, then that meant Malcolm was very serious about their present circumstance.

It meant that Malcolm Morgan had decided to go all out!

With that said, Malcolm strode forward, calmly walking on the surface of the water, leaving behind his words, "No matter what! Focus on the ritual and summon that grotesque monster as fast as you can!"

Adam, standing atop Sa'kul's head, suddenly started to frown.

Through his sphere of resonance, he could sense that the two of the necromancers had begun conducting ritual magic. They were summoning something…

Or rather, someone.

A foreboding feeling gripped Adam's heart.

"Sa'kul," he called out.

"Yesssss?" The serpent hissed.

"Dive underwater and disrupt whatever those two Magi at the back are planning," he instructed.

"Underssssstood."

"And be vigilant at all times," The youth cautioned.

The following moment, Adam leaped off of the serpent's head. In mid-air, he weaved a set of hand seals and cast Rank 3 Spell: Water Stroll.

Just as he landed on the surface of the water, the enormous black serpent had already submerged underwater and was swimming towards the two necromancers at lightning speed.

Meanwhile, Adam finally came face-to-face with the man leading the group of Magi from the Cult of Bones.

The raven-haired youth pointed the staff at him and coldly asked, "You said your leader is interested in me? What does he want? What is he planning in Ravenfell—no, in Ulier."

Malcolm Morgan revealed a faint smile and said, "The Cult Leader has grand plans for the whole of Tron. You should feel honored, Constantine, that he has taken an interest in you."

He paused for a moment, spreading his arms wide and passionately speaking, "Thus, I will offer you this opportunity on behalf of my great master - join our cult and you will have all your wishes come true!"

"Join your cult and have my soul sold to the devil?" Adam sneered, his tone oozing with contempt. "You necrophile mongrels aren't worthy to stand on the same side as me."

He raised his chin and spoke arrogantly, "In fact, how dare you breathe the same air as me!"

Malcolm's expression turned dark and he coldly stated, "You've become quite arrogant now that you've advanced to the Mana Vortex Rank."

But soon, his lips curled into a smile, "I won't fall for your taunts, Constantine. I have studied you, your tactics, and your style diligently. I know exactly how you operate."

Right at that moment, with a loud splash that echoed all around them, Sa'kul emerged from underneath the sea, baring his fangs, and pouncing on the two necromancers who were engaged in a summoning ritual.

HIIISSSSS!!

At the same time, Malcolm's smile turned cold. "Also, did you think you were the only one who could summon a Rank 3 creature?"

Moments before Sa'kul was about to attack the two necromancers, another titanic creature with a bloodthirsty and overbearing aura emerged from the sea, pouncing at the snake.

ROOAARRR!!!
