They remember that the Lord of Madness had built the void universe to create an Absolute from demons created from his Supreme law so that he could steal their power or at least copy how they became Absolutes.

They are not exactly demons, but if they succeed, the Lord of Madness will be partially right. It was a thought that made them chuckle.

That entity continued to speak, "The smart thing to do now is to make sure that the Lord of Madness stays dead and is not resurrected. So you must not interfere in the cause and effect of his death. If you do, I will kill you too."

The potential Absolute warned them in a gentle voice that belied the danger of its words, "Don’t test me. I have no patience for fools. Now go."

The entity didn’t ask them if they disagreed or agreed with it. It didn’t ask them for their promise not to interfere with the death of the Supreme. Not that they have the guts to disagree with it.

First of all, the entity is right. It is good for them that the lord of madness stays dead.

Secondly, they don’t have the power to reverse the death of the Supreme. If this entity can keep ANNIHILATION imprisoned and ANNIHILATION can kill them, then they mustn’t disagree with him.

So be it; in terms of brains or brawn, the best thing for them is to promise not to mess with the cause and effect of the death of the Supreme.

But this entity didn’t ask for their promise. It simply warned them and then removed the force blocking the way to their destination.

They were able to fall into that point of light that represented their link to this part of the time stream.

When they did, the connection between their past and future was created through their origin and the aspect of Independence, so they finally remembered everything that happened between this point and the time that they created their last Supreme law.

They opened their eyes, but all they saw was darkness. This darkness was strange because it existed due to the lack of light.

The first problem they encountered was that they had eyes, which they needed to see. The second problem is that these eyes needed light and didn’t have night vision.

It had been a long time since they needed eyes and light to see. So they were disoriented for a while.

Their disorientation became worse as they tried to sort all the memories that they had just suddenly gained.

The amount of memories they gained was massive. After all, it was the combination of all the different lives that they had lived from this moment up to the time of Geraldirah and Legion.

In their many lives, they weren’t always Geraldirah. They weren’t always elves either. They have been many entities and have accumulated trillions of years of memories.

If they were at their peak, this amount of memories would have been easy to resolve. But they were currently at the weakest point in their existence across the time stream.

They are currently a creature called a human. It is a kind of creature that they have encountered before. From the memories of the god of souls, these creatures exist in dying worlds devoid of mana.

It can be said that these creatures are the precursors and degenerative forms of powerful creatures.

When mana arrives, these humans evolve into various races that use mana. But when mana leaves or becomes absent, those powerful devolve back into humans.

They are currently in a space in history where there is no mana. What’s more is that there is no void universe either.

This world is a vast, dark world without an owner. It was until later in the future that this world turned into the void universe that he is familiar with.

He thought to himself, "This is probably why the Time Lock doesn’t exist currently."

He had to sneak that thought in through a deluge of memories because he was too weak to think too much.

He was weak physically and weak mentally. His memories were talking so much toil on him that he couldn’t move or speak.

This situation was far from what he expected. He expected to have appeared in a powerful creature. He thought that it would be a powerful creature that was capable of creating the potential to become an Absolute.

He was right to expect that, though. A creature this weak shouldn’t have been able to create the potential to become an Absolute. But it happened because of the actions of the Lord of Madness.

From his memories of the future, he can deduce that the purpose of this world is to create an entity powerful enough to revitalize this world. The entity that was created was the progenitor of the void universe.

That entity was then shackled by the Lord of Madness and used to imprison ANNIHILATION. The Time Lock was also installed sometimes during that period.

For such a powerful entity like the progenitor of the void universe to appear from a bunch of weak, hairless apes, the Lord of Madness gave them potential by using Universal Artifacts.

He chuckled inwardly and said, "It is Universal Artifacts again. I wonder how many people suffered for his project."

Despite the lack of ambient mana in this world, the Lord of Madness was able to create a system of power that would lead to the level of a world god by chopping up powerful beings into bits, forging those bits into artifacts that can be used and controlled by others, and then using those artifacts as the foundation of power in a cold dying world.

That is how a human being managed to turn into the void universe. He knows that much, and what he doesn’t know, he can deduce. But what he doesn’t know is how the human he is managed to create the aspect of Independence.

A/N: Someone once asked me what the origin of humans in GREED is. I told them that they would learn about it in the future. This is my answer to that question.
