Guide to tame my villainous husbands-Chapter 1443: Is it enough to convince you (2)?
Mo Qiang's words caused the old woman to flush red with shame and embarrassment. She raised her head and shouted, "You bastard, how dare you humiliate me? Your mother caused the death of my daughter. You should be kneeling on my feet and apologising—"
Mo Qiang listened for a while, but after ten minutes of the old woman's ranting, she couldn't listen anymore. She raised her hand and then slapped the woman on the face, and she hit her so hard that three of her old teeth came flying out of her mouth.
"You… you actually dared to slap me?" The old woman was shocked. She thought that Mo Qiang would be just as respectful towards her as her old mother, but this woman… she was simply too lawless.
"Why? Did you think that I would be just as polite to you as my mother?" Mo Qiang asked with a smile that was not a smile. She said to the old woman, "Open your eyes and see what you have done, old woman. You have blamed my mother unjustly and tried to cause trouble for her every now and then. To make things even more complicated, you even went ahead and arranged for a rebellion. Did you think that you would still be given the respect that you once had?"
"Your mother—"
"Don't get me started on my mother!" Mo Qiang sneered. "Do you think that she lowered her head and accepted your lawless actions because she was guilty? No, she just felt sorry for you and the rest and allowed you all to make trouble. How dare you cause such trouble for a woman who only wanted to help you? If not for my mother's timely interventions, you all would have been executed for the good things that your daughters and sons did."
Mo Qiang's words horrified not only the old rebel king but even the rest of the rebels; they turned pale with anger and rejection. They didn't believe that Mo Yan had done such a thing for them.
However, Mo Qiang was not in the mood to explain anything to them. She rolled her eyes and pushed the old woman into the arms of the guards and said, "Do you think that you could have lived with the tag of families of rebels? The punishment of being related to a rebel is nothing but death. Only fools like you would not be able to see the truth clearly."
Mo Qiang felt annoyed at the thought of how Mo Yan tried to keep these people alive, only for them to throw away her hard work as if it were not worth their time and efforts.
"Congratulations, you have just wasted all the efforts that my mother made to save your lives. Now sit in the prison and wait for your trial." Mo Qiang motioned the guards to drag the rebels away, ignoring their cries and pleas, as she knew that these people only knew how to say flowery words; if they were given another chance, they would do the same thing all over again.
"You... you will suffer a horrible death!" the old woman cursed, which made Mo Qiang smile. She raised her brow and remarked, "Already did, old woman. Already did."
She died after being suffocated to death. It was a slow and painful death. So, who was this old woman even trying to threaten?
When the old woman heard Mo Qiang's words, she choked and glared at her.
However, before she could say anything else, Mo Qiang turned her head away and looked in the direction of the rebels' village. She had just felt a sudden change in the air, which was hard to avoid.
She narrowed her eyes and then turned to look at her husbands before saying to them, "Go back home."
The situation seemed to have suddenly changed, and she was not sure what was going on, but Mo Qiang was certain that it was nothing good.
"Why? What happened?" Yin Fu asked with a frown.
"Don't ask, just go back." After speaking, Mo Qiang summoned a small army of the imperial guards and walked to the rebels' village. She had been prepared for a lot of things, but what she saw made her stiffen.
"Miss Mo," In front of her stood Fu Shi, who was smiling at her, but even though she was smiling at her, something about her made Mo Qiang frown with worry.
This woman…
[She had swallowed the remnants of the zerg queen.]
"It seems like she was pushed into a corner and made the wrong judgement," Xiao An summarised the situation to Mo Qiang, who pursed her lips helplessly. She raised her head and looked at Fu Shi, whose skin had turned so pale that she could see her veins underneath her pale skin.
It could be seen at one glance that Fu Shi was not doing well, but for the sake of getting the throne, she was willing to go to such lengths.
"Your highness, you can stop, you know that, right?" Mo Qiang stared at the woman and asked in a slow voice. Though she knew that the woman was in a desperate situation, as long as she was willing to let go, she could at least keep her life.
But if this woman continued, there was no point even if she wanted to turn back.
"Shut up!" When Fu Shi heard Mo Qiang's words, her face twisted into a malicious sneer. She said to the woman, "Don't you dare to stand there and look down on me. You think that you can look down on me just because you are better than me? Then I will let you know that I am no longer the same."
"Just like you…" She raised her hand and showed the new skills that she had developed after ingesting the remnants of the zerg queen. "I have developed some rare skills. And I think you and I are now equal."
With a tilt of her head she questioned, "What do you say, Miss Mo? Are you willing to work for me now?"
