" I remembered just a few hours ago, that the mother mentioned the boy’s name, Kailen. It may be just a coincidence . That Kailen could be someone else , but do you remember anything of that sort ever happening to you?. Could I have met you and your parents at a time where you were younger?"

Reynolds asked Kailen.

Kailen was shocked.

He remembered an event like that occuring on his 13th birthday.

However, his eyes became calm on second thought. It was not the only time he did something like that with his parents on Christmas .

What if the father Christmas had been someone else. Also, there could be someone else called Kailen.

Inasmuch as he now knew he had been named after his grandfather, it didn’t rule out the possibility that someone else apart from him could have that name on earth ,and the family Reynolds had communicated with were different from his.

" Do you have a copy of the picture?"

Kailen asked.

This was the only way he could tell whether or not Reynolds’ was talking about him and his parents.

If he saw a picture of himself,Reynolds and his parents.

" Actually, the reason why I remembered that day was because I came across the picture a few days ago.That also led me to recall something they told me a few minutes after the picture with the family of three"

Reynolds stared at the impatient and intrigued Kailen, chuckled lightly and took out the picture .

" Here"

Kailen stared at the picture in shock.

No doubt, Reynolds was having a different face in the picture so it was no surprise.

After all,the man had an affinity that could let him change faces.

But ,he was in the picture. His 11 year old self and no doubt, his parents.

He had met the President of the Federation a few years back with his parents.

Kailen chuckled lightly, amused " Wow"

He was shocked.

" Yeah I know, the kid looks like you right?"

Reynolds sighed.

" That kid is actually me, and I’m sure you’ve already guessed it" Kailen said,to which Reynolds responded with a nod.

" Those are my parents" Kailen added.

" You look a lot like your dad "

Reynolds chuckled .

Kailen joked " According to the history books ,yeah"

Reynolds shook his head ,then said seriously " You really loved them. I’m sorry for your loss"

" Thank you"Kailen replied.

" Mmm. They were really a breath of fresh air you know " Reynolds responded warmly.

Kailen replied warmly " That they were"

"Anyway ,the main reason why I came here"

Reynolds became serious.

" Is what they told you a few minutes after the picture right? " Kailen said "I remember they telling me to wait for them for a few seconds and then they exchanged a few words with the father Christmas"

Reynolds nodded " I told them I didn’t want them to pay for the picture. They replied they didn’t know how to repay the favor so they’d tell me something to think about"

Kailen listened to him closely . Reynolds furthered.

" These were their exact words. What if you were to find out one day that the universe is extremely vast, with multiple races and lifeforms boasting varying levels of strengths and technology?"

Reynolds stared at the dumbfounded Kailen.

To think his parents would tell a stranger this.

Did they tell Reynolds because they knew who he was ,or were they just telling him on a whim because he had done them a favor?

" I doubt they knew I was the president of the United Federation ..had a different face you know" Reynolds, as though he had read Kailen’s mind, said.

"Your mother actually said it was just a joke they were cracking after your father said those words.One that I found extremely funny. We all laughed it off and then I waved them goodbye" Reynolds furthered as he scratched his chin.

"However , after seeing the picture a few hours ago, and remembering those words they said,I now realize it wasn’t a joke they cracked. Not after Angela’s prophecy that an alien race is gonna invade the planet. I can’t help but wonder, Kailen, who really were your parents?"

Reynolds layered further with an inquisitive expression.

" Allni can say is they are not from around here. Yeah I was just shocked myself when I found out. I can also tell you that everything they told you about the universe is true. It wasn’t a joke.

And earth will be invaded in not less than 5 days time.."

Kailen went on to tell Reynolds about the power systems of the universe in addition.

Of course he hid the existence of the time dilation artifact and the issue of his family vendata from from the man as it was his personal matter.

Kailen felt oddly familiar with Reynolds than he did now compared to before they had this conversation.

" Must be because I now know I met him when I was child I guess?" Kailen mused inwardly.

Present time ,in the submarine.

" Brat Why are you so laid back about all this?" Reynolds sighed at his master’s words.

" Old Man, it’s non of your shitty business"

Donalds’ figure flashed.

He landed a knock on Reynolds’ head.

The man held his head in pain.

" Damnit I am the president of the United Federation, can’t you at least give me some face infront of these youngsters"

" President my foot!. You think I give a shit about that?"

Everyone laughed at their playful banter,until the laughter died down and Kailen resumed talking.

"I’ve have an idea and some blueprints for making new talent checking devices that can check talents to the ascendant level. There’s a possibility that some individuals in the S rank have ascendant level talent. However because our Talent checking devices are only modified to check talents at the S rank, any level of talent that is higher is automatically interpreted by the device to be at the S rank. If there are some S ranked talent potential holders, at the S rank among us who actually have an ascendant level talent,they can take advantage of the evolution of the planet to the ascendant level break through to the ascendant level"

Kailen literally repeated the plan the time Dilation Artifact had suggested to him earlier. He furthered.

" Hopefully , if we can create Terror Inducing devices that can also control ascendant level diabolic beasts, they can be used to fight the aliens that are about to invade the world in addition to increasing our strength . Even those amongst us who are not awakened can make use of these Terror inducing devices to defend themselves against these aliens"

Kailen finally finished speaking.

" So this is what you meant by taking advantage of the evolution of the planet to increase our strength"

Helena nodded.

Everyone shared their opinions. They agreed with the plan.

" However if we can make terror inducing devices that can help us control ascendant level diabolic beasts, we need to have ascendant level energy orbs. How are we gonna manage that?" Helena asked

Jane voiced " I suppose this freak is working on it" She looked in Kailen’s direction.

Her expression back to normal. At least on the surface. With what the world was about experiencing, and after what Kailen had just told them about the universe and an invasion of the planet , now was not the time for her to be sulking and crying.

She needed to push her feelings aside for now and help deal with the approaching threat.

Kailen replied " Yeah , my creatures will find ascendant level energy orbs from the oceans after the planet evolves.

The ocean depths have a high amount of worldly natural energy , so it will take just a few moments during the evolution of the planet for the formation of ascendant level energy orbs. The moment the evolution begins , they will be dispatched."
