" Virtual reality pods?" Kailen was surprised. This was the first time he was hearing about something like this. It seemed Zanpala university really lived up to it’s reputation.

" Mm. Mum created the algorithm behind the software for the virtual reality pods. Is that not awesome?It can simulate reality 80 percent " Arrie beamed with pride again.

"Indeed. It seems Dr Helena really lives up to her reputation " Kailen nodded with admiration.

" Oh, don’t tell me you are a fan of mum?"

" Well, I don’t look like it but I used to be an academia fanatic . Kinda followed her social media handles for a while"

" Oh, I see . Since you are my mother’s follower, from now on call me senior sister " Arrie puffed up her chest as she spoke, causing Kailen to shake his head incredulously.

Kailen laughed at her antics for a few moments then asked simply out of curiosity " Anyway ,is there no way to view the the participants in the virtual reality tower?"

" Not at the moment. Only the Dean and high ranking staff members like mum has access to the videos of those who participate in the tower challenges"

Kailen nodded, then voiced " Since we are here, I better get on with it and clear all the floors as soon as possible "

Kailen’s voice drew the attention of a couple of students .

" What? He thinks he can clear the tower?"

" I admit he’s a genius and he’s monstrous , however if he thinks he can clear the tower, then he’s overestimating himself "

" I believe he can do it "

"You must get yourselves checked by a doctor . Only a few geniuses have managed to get to the ninth floor. Even His Excellency Xu Li Reynolds managed to get to only the ninth floor when he was a Zanpala University student fifteen years ago"

Kailen and Arrie stared at each other then nodded as they listened to the chatter of various students " It’s him. Interesting. It looks like this guy registered for the university with a different name and has kept a low profile till now. Kailen’s conjecture as he talked to Arrie drew a few reactions from the surrounding people as they nodded too.

" Show them what’s good Kailen" Arrie tapped Kailen’s back , not in a world concerned about what anyone thought about their intimate mannerisms.

She recalled how she strangely felt happy when she heard the rumors that Kailen and her were a couple.

Having a nonchalant and calm expression,Kailen proceeded to enter the tower after chucking at Arrie’s gesture, oblivious to her thoughts.

In a training room akin to a dojo in prestigious villa atop a mountain in Zanpala University, a white skinned middle aged man with brown hair boasting a well built body , was donned in a fencing attire, engaging in a fencing match with a female individual.

The duo exchanged attacks for a few moments , the wooden floor thumping occasionally from their movements.

Sounds of sabers clashing caused the air to ripple slightly, as the match continued. Very soon their movements halted.

" You win again sir "

The female individual voiced,as she stared at the saber of the middle aged only an inch to making contact with her tender neck.

" Assistant Kim, why do you keep going easy on this old man?" The old man took a few steps, as he chuckled ,placing the saber on a weapon rack.

" You flatter me Dean Donalds. A mere A ranked awakener like me cannot compare to a veteran S ranked awakener, even if he is an old man. Had you not decided to limit your strength , I wouldn’t even last 2 strikes from you. Furthermore , you even decided to participate without donning your fencing helmet, yet I failed to even land a hit on your head" The woman responded politely as she removed the fencing helmet covering her beautiful face, revealing an attractive young face with black smooth hair that glistened .

Just when the Dean of Zanpala University ,Donalds was about to respond, assistant Kim’s office phone vibrated.

She gestured to the Dean with a polite expression to check what the call was about,only to widen her eyes in surprise a few seconds later, after which she thanked the staff member who had called her and hung up.

"Sir, it seems.. something interesting happened at the tower. Young sir Charles challenged the tower"

" Ho. To think President Reynold’s nephew would finally decide to stop keeping a low profile . I look forward to seeing what he can accomplish in the war at the boarder. I’ve also been hearing some news about a youngster called Kailen Darkhaven... An extremely daring young man I hear. Helena has been boasting here and there that he is her future son in law. Any news about him?" Dean Donalds voiced as his personal assistant ,Kim handed him a bottle of water.

As he downed the bottle of water and made gurgling sounds , she voiced " I was about to talk about that sir. Kailen Darkhaven entered the tower right now "

Donald revealed an amused expression " Ho, interesting . Pull up the feed and let’s see what is happening at his end. Let’s see the gentleman Helena Hall has been boasting about so much"

Kailen proceeded towards the virtual reality pod before him, ignoring the students laying in the transparent pods.

The red colored virtual reality pod opened after Kailen pressed a button somewhere on its exterior.

Kailen lay in the pod, after which the pod closed.

Kailen felt a dizzy feeling wash over him as he closed his eyes.

The next thing Kailen saw was that he stood on a large plain.

Before he had the chance to appreciate his surroundings, the robotic voice he had heard earlier the robotic voice he had heard before he was transferred into the virtual reality tower rung in his ears again, this time associated with a holographic screen a black holographic screen.
