Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem-Chapter 56: Blunt’s End Comes Fast!
Chapter 56: Blunt’s End Comes Fast!
Stoneclaw exhaled, stepping forward as Zain vanished from sight.
"Guess it’s my turn."
He spread his stance, focused his breath and activated his ability.
His hands rippled as Claw Shift took hold, fingers lengthening into claws.
But he wasn’t finished.
Rock Hand surged in next.
Rock fragments flowed from his forearms, coating his claws in dense layers of reinforced rock.
His hands now ended in solid rock-forged claws, strong and heavy.
Blast snorted. "Really? You’re charging me with garden tools?"
Stoneclaw didn’t answer.
He just started running.
Blast flicked a few metal disks forward—Impact Tags, thin and glinting.
They stuck to the ground and air shimmered from their activation.
"Boom time," Blast said, grinning as the tags detonated in rapid bursts.
BOOM!
Smoke rushed outward. Flame and dust swallowed the lane.
Blast laughed. "You heroes really think—"
The smoke parted.
Stoneclaw kept rushing, rock claws raised in front of his face.
His chest was blackened but steady.
His eyes locked on Blast.
Blast’s smile froze.
Stoneclaw said nothing.
He surged forward—and slammed his clawed fist into Blast’s gut.
THUD!
Blast coughed hard, staggering back, wind knocked out of him.
"The hell—" Blast wheezed.
"How the hell are you fine?!"
Stoneclaw cracked his neck. "Because I’m a B-Rank Hero."
He raised one claw again. "Not some rookie C-Rank."
Blast’s eyes twitched, lips curled back. "Damn it. They sent real hitters."
Stoneclaw stepped in, quiet and calm. "You better fight like you’re one."
---
Zain stood still, eyes locked on the hulking figure ahead.
"So, Blunt," he said, rolling one shoulder.
"Your abilities are all close range, huh?"
Blunt’s lips pulled into a grin.
"Don’t matter. Up close’s all I need. You’ll be dead either way."
Zain smirked. "I’d like to see you try."
Blunt didn’t waste another second.
He charged forward, both fists sparking with arcs of electricity.
Zain didn’t move.
Blunt grabbed both of Zain’s shoulders with force, electricity surging through him.
"You’re not running?"
Blunt growled, sparks dancing between his fingers.
"Guess you’re too dumb to realize you’ve already lost."
Zain’s face didn’t flinch. "No need."
Blunt’s grin widened. "Then die for your arrogance—Shock Slam!"
A violent surge of energy blasted into Zain’s body.
His muscles twitched, his body locked by the electrical current.
Blunt’s hands clamped down harder.
"Now, let’s rip those arms out."
He activated Hard Grip, fingers locking like iron clamps around Zain’s shoulders.
But something felt off.
Blunt’s expression shifted.
Zain’s shoulders didn’t cave. His flesh wasn’t giving way.
"What the hell..."
Blunt stared.
His fingers were shaking—not from power, but from resistance.
Zain slowly lifted his head, smiling.
"You noticed it too, huh?"
Blunt’s grin faltered. "You’ve got Hard Skin—?"
Zain’s smirk deepened. "Yeah. But that’s not all."
In one swift movement, Zain raised both arms.
Grabbing Blunt’s forearm and locking it in place.
Blunt’s eyes went wide. "You—how the hell are you moving?!"
Zain’s grip tightened.
"You’re a B-Rank villain."
"And that Shock Slam of yours? It’s flashy. Strong enough to paralyze rookies."
Zain’s voice dropped low.
"But I’m not one of them."
Blunt snarled and tried to pull back—but it was too late.
Zain’s grip crushed down with force that bent metal.
Blunt screamed. "AARGH—!"
CRACK!
His forearms fractured under Zain’s strength, the bones shattering with a sickening crunch.
Zain grinned, eyes gleaming with thrill.
"And not to forget... I’ve got Hard Grip too."
Blunt’s face twisted with panic.
He jerked back, trying to break free from Zain’s hold.
But Zain was still gripping his shattered forearm.
Blunt gasped. "Let go—!"
Zain yanked him forward.
"Run? After grabbing me like that? No chance. You’re my target now."
Blunt stumbled, dragged closer, knees buckling from the pain.
Zain leaned in, voice low.
"And I don’t just have your tricks... I borrowed a few from your buddy, too."
He exhaled.
Blast Breath flared across his hands.
The heat hit Blunt’s already broken arms.
And seconds later...
The Impact Tags Zain had slipped onto his wrists earlier detonated.
BOOM—
Blood sprayed against the nearby wall.
The remains of Blunt’s arms fell limp, mangled beyond recognition.
He dropped to his knees, gasping, eyes wide with raw fear.
"You—you’re a monster," he choked.
Zain crouched in front of him, smirking.
He raised his pistol and pressed the barrel between Blunt’s eyes.
Blunt froze, blood dripping from his mouth, one arm twitching against the ground.
Zain tilted his head. "Monster?"
He smiled, calm and cold.
"I’m just doing my job as a hero."
He shifted the barrel slightly, pressing it in harder.
"Killing villains like you."
The shot echoed.
Click.
Blunt’s head snapped back. Blood sprayed across the floor.
The body jerked once, then collapsed completely still.
Zain lowered the pistol.
No hesitation. No regret.
He stood up, turned, and walked away, dragging his body.
---
Blast staggered back, sweat running down his brow, a smear of blood at the corner of his lip.
Stoneclaw stood in front of him, claws raised, unmoving.
Blast chuckled through heavy breaths.
"Time to finish this, huh?"
Stoneclaw stepped forward. "You’ve run out of tricks."
Blast’s grin returned.
"Don’t think I only rely on those little tags."
From behind his belt, he pulled out some small balloons.
Stoneclaw frowned. "What the hell are those supposed to be?"
Blast bounced them in his palms once.
"You’re here to hunt me. That means you must know my ability set, right?"
Stoneclaw’s eyes widened.
"Shit—"
Too late.
Blast slammed the balloons onto the ground and vanished in a blur.
Agility Boost activated.
The balloon burst, but not with air.
It erupted in a massive detonation.
A mix of Impact Tag wiring and stored Blast Breath, detonating in one vicious chain reaction.
BOOOOM!!
The shockwave ripped through the alley.
Stoneclaw gritted his teeth and raised both rock-reinforced claws, crossing them in front of his chest.
The explosion engulfed him, fire and force hammering into his defense.
Chunks of concrete blew outward.
From the far end of the block, Blast’s laugh echoed as he bolted down the street.
"See ya, rock boy! Don’t die too quick!"
