{Enhanced Senses(Lv. 1): Improves your five senses moderately}

"Killing humans doesn't give any experience, huh? What a pity." Lucas mumbled as he stood in a puddle of blood, thinking to himself that he still needed to kill monsters if he wanted to level up properly.

Despite this being his time killing another human being, Lucas didn't feel any different, almost like he was killing insects.

He then took a minute to search the corpses to see if there was anything useful.

In the end, he found a small pouch that had about twenty small Mana Crystals inside, three more vials of Mana Potions, and two hundred dollars.

As for their weapons, Lucas only picked up the sword that was wielded by Peter, as it was of higher quality than the sword he picked up from one of the green goblins.

"29 Mana Crystals… This should allow me to live comfortably for a while if I sell it to the Guild."

He then looked at the sky that was getting dark.

"I should probably leave the dungeon now."

After a satisfying day hunting in the dungeon with great results, Lucas began making his way back to the dungeon portal, retracing his steps.

A couple of hours later, he returned to the path.

As he followed this path, Lucas made sure to keep his vigilance, but he wasn't worried about any monsters. Instead, he was looking out for Darius and his team, as there was a chance that they were waiting for him at the exit of the dungeon that was also the entrance.

Luckily for him, the ability Enhanced Senses made it much easier for him to remain alert.

Once he reached the exit and could see the portal, Lucas was slightly relieved to see that Darius and his team were absent, and he began running towards the portal.

Although he wasn't sure about the level of Darius' team, he knew that they were much stronger than Peters' team.

While it's not common, there are times when high-level Players would enter dungeons way below their level because they want to have an easy time hunting monsters and with almost no risks involved. Of course, their profits will not be as beneficial since weaker monsters meant weaker Mana Crystals, but some people treasure their own life more than money compared to others that wouldn't mind risking their lives for greater profits.

After leaving the dungeon, Lucas looked around for a taxi to return to the city.

It didn't take long for him to find one since there are usually taxis parked outside public dungeons.

"Where would you like to go?" The taxi driver asked Lucas.

"Stellar City, Leo Guild."

"The ride will be 90 dollars plus 10 dollars for cleaning fees."

"Cleaning fees?" Lucas raised his eyebrows in a puzzled manner.

This is his first time riding a taxi, after all.

The driver pointed at his body and said, "Look at you, kiddo. You're covered in blood. I will need to clean the seats afterward, hence the cleaning fees."

Lucas looked down at his clothes, and sure enough, they were soaked in blood.

"I understand." Lucas handed the driver 100 dollars.

Once Lucas entered the car and the driver counted the money, they began moving.

An hour later, they returned to the city that Lucas came from— Stellar City.

And after another ten minutes, they arrived at the guild that Lucas registered in.

Upon exiting the car, Lucas went straight inside the building.

However, the moment he entered the doors, Lucas could hear a familiar voice shouting in an angry voice, "I'm telling you that little bastard abandoned us shortly after we entered the dungeon!"

It was obviously Darius, and he appeared to be arguing with someone.

"And you're expecting me to believe that a level one newbie who has never been inside a dungeon before would abandon his team?" The big asset beauty, Melody, responded in a calm voice a moment later.

And she continued, "If the guild finds his body in the dungeon, his death will be your team's responsibility. Your team's overall level is 20 so you shouldn't have any problem in a novice-rank dungeon, yet you somehow managed to lose a level one newbie while the rest of your team returned unscratched. If you ask me, it doesn't look good for your team at all."

"Using newbies as bait? Damn, what a shitty team. I hope the newbie that's probably dead now gets justice."

The people in the guild looked at Darius and his team with disdain in their eyes.

Although it was common for people to take advantage of newbies in dungeons since most of them are pushovers, at least their safety is usually guaranteed and they mostly return alive.

Furthermore, having a newbie die in an experienced team would destroy the reputation of that team if word gets around.

"Fuck! Stop messing with me, you bitch! I demand to see your manager!" Darius shouted again while slamming the desk.

However, Melody remained calm and said, "What a horrible attitude, but I expect no less from a scumbag such as yourself."

By now, Darius' face was flushed with redness and with veins visible everywhere.

Suddenly, a young man wearing blood-soaked hospital gowns approached the reception desk beside the one Darius and his team were occupying and said in a calm voice, "I would like to sell some Mana Crystals."

"Okay, let me see the Mana Crystals."

The woman behind Lucas' desk said to him, completely unaware that he was the newbie Darius and his team had been arguing about with Melody for the past fifteen minutes.

"Huh?"

Melody subconsciously turned her head after hearing this familiar voice, and her eyes widened with shock when she saw Lucas' face.

"U-Unbelievable..."

Darius and his team were also baffled by Lucas' nonchalant appearance that made it seem like he wasn't part of their conversation— to the point where all of the anger on their faces disappeared the moment they saw him.
