Chapter 1 [The Day I Reincarnated Into Another World, I Obtained Creation Magic]

I died.

Was it from an illness, from an accidental death, from overwork, or from senility?

I don’t have any memories of how I died.

Whether I was a male or female in my previous life, I have no memory of that at all.

“I want to invite you to my world.”

“……Who are… you? Why… did you call for me?”

While my memory was vague, the beautiful woman took my attention.

“I am the god of another world, Liliel. All you need to do is just live it’ll benefit the world one way or another.”

It’s an extremely weird proposal.

However, for me who had died once and gained a chance at another life, there was no reason to deny the offer.

“So, do I just reincarnate now?”

“No, select a skill in order to live as long as possible as a reincarnator.”

I picked up the tablet that appeared in thin space, and choose my skill.

Uh-huh, skills like [Holy Sword Possession] and [Swordsmanship]. As long as reincarnators pick within the range of points given, they’re allowed to freely pick anything they want.

After sometime, I choose to use up all my skill points on [Creation Magic].

Having consumed the corresponding magical power, the [Creation Magic] skill was created.

“Well then, please enjoy our world to your heart’s content.”

“Alright. For the time being, my priority will be to survive.”

I choose a skill and the god of another world who called themselves Liliel saw me off before throwing me in the middle of a suitable plain.

…………

……

“……This body is a female’s isn’t it? I wonder if it means I was a female in my previous life.

My memory of my previous life is vague at best, but I’m probably the same gender.

My garments are an ordinary linen shirt and pants, a poach at my waist. Inside of which is an urgently pressing item–a magic bag.

Even when I looked around the surroundings, there’s no living beings that are monster-like at all.

“Well then, I wonder what kind of skill [Creation Magic] is? —-<<Creation>>!”

It seems like this world has levels and status, but since I just reincarnated, I only have a mana total of 50.

When I reincarnated, Goddess Liliel bestowed me knowledge equal to the standard of a normal person, apparently there’s an overwhelming lack of magicians.

In order to check what I can create with that magical power amount, I created an object.

“—-[Fireball Staff], complete.”

It took 80 percent of my mana, or roughly 40 mana to create the item. It was a consumable item that invokes fire magic.

“—-<<Fireball>>!”

It’s slightly embarrassing, but it seems like if I don’t hold the staff and chant a spell, the magic won’t activate.

Apparently, when the ball of flame hits a slime, it leaves a scorch mark on the ground and the slime evaporates.

Afterwards, I found a slime and, in a similar fashion, fired my magic at it. The staff roughly shot 3 times before it stopped.

“[Fireball] magic uses around 10 magical power I guess?”

It seems the staff itself provides the magic for the spell. Ten mana was required to create the staff plus thirty as reserve, each fireball taking ten, for a total of forty.

Also, like a consumable tool, it becomes a regular staff or firewood after usage.

I think that [Creation Magic]’s fuel consumption isn’t good.

However, I’m thankful that I have a way of producing an attack in a pinch.

Also, when I defeat slimes and gain experience, it seems like my level goes up.

I could sense that my maximum mana capacity has gone up.

However, it seems like all my statuses don’t recover when I level up.

“When I create a [Fire Staff], it only takes up half my magical power now?”

The creation requirement of a disposable [Fire Staff] is 40 mana. It used to take up 80% of my mana, but now it feels like it would leave 40%, so my current mana is around 60 probably.

For the time being, I keep on defeating monsters and progressing, but there’s no signs of human habitation.

By the third day, I walked around the surroundings, failed to find a town, defeated various monsters besides slimes, and raised my level to 5.

Halfway through, I noticed that it was more efficient to strike the slime with the used staff than to defeat it with the [Fireball Staff]’s magic.
