I Can Transform Into Any Monster-Chapter 35: Alice’s Trick
Chapter 35: Alice’s Trick
Together with Alice, Luis quickly approached the edge of the mine shaft.
"Boss, if we don’t move now, they’ll get the spirit," Walker’s subordinates said as the latter was still just standing still.
It was like he just wanted to keep watching. They were worried that this was due to his mind being mesmerized by Alice personally.
Fortunately, after being reminded, Walker nodded lightly.
Apparently, from his hand, emerged a snake that turned out to have small wings with black scales like steel.
Whoosh!
The snake suddenly enlarged into a giant snake that reached 250 meters in length.
Luis, who was already deep down the mine pit, spontaneously looked up as he sensed the arrival of a menacing creature.
He couldn’t help but be surprised to see such a huge snake flying over the mine.
Walker was seen jumping onto the snake’s head with his subordinates.
The snake then lunged down.
Even from its size, Luis knew that it was a Level 6 Monster.
Every Level 6 monster was nothing out of the ordinary.
They started to have unique features like Primordial Monsters.
Alice also glanced at the monster, but she didn’t seem to care.
Her focus remained forward.
The snake itself immediately came under attack from the Black Titans for coming into their territory.
However, the snake easily bypassed them.
One swing of its tail could send dozens of them flying away.
In no time, the snake began to approach Luis and Alice’s location.
Apparently, it was able to ignore the black smoke attacks of the Black Titans while their fire was easily deflected by one of Walker’s subordinates who also possessed Water Domain.
"Alice, looks like I’ll be arriving early," Walker said with a chuckle.
He was deliberately provoking Alice, probably with the intention of joking, but Luis couldn’t help but be annoyed that this man had the possibility to steal the desired spirit.
He looked at Alice, but the woman didn’t seem to care.
She was only focused on attacking the Black Titans in front of her.
By this time, Walker and his snake had caught up with them and they landed at the very bottom of the mine pit.
"Hurry up and dig!" Walker commanded his snake which instantly used its head to dig into the ground beneath the mine.
From the looks of it, the snake had the digging ability of a vole.
With its large size, it probably only needed one dig to expose the spirit beneath the mine.
Sure enough, one push from his head, the soil beneath the mine pit was blown up, revealing the crypt beneath.
Luis instantly saw a creature there, a creature similar to a human but with a small size, perhaps only as tall as a human hand.
It was made of light that was transparent in color with diamond-like black spots, reflecting the light that hit it.
’Spirit,’ Luis said to himself.
It’s of course a spirit.
All spirits have the same shape. They usually only differ in color or characteristics on their bodies.
The Spirit had characteristics similar to a black diamond so Luis suspected it had some kind of ability to release the power of diamonds.
As far as he knew, Spirits were also divided into three Tiers.
Tier 1, these were most spirits awakened by Awakener, it was very rare for anyone to awaken a Tier 2 Spirit.
Tier 3 spirits were even rarer. Most people get them in the wild, not awaken them.
When someone has a Tier 3 Spirit, their power from the start is instantly equivalent to that of a Primordial Monster.
Of course, the Tier of the Spirit was not the only determinant of power.
The number of Spirits the Awakeners have also plays an important role in increasing their power, especially Spirits with similar powers so that uniting two similar powers, results in a stronger attack.
In the case of Spirits with different powers, uniting their powers is more difficult, but if successful, the resulting power will be much greater.
Basically, if someone had several Tier 1 Spirits, they could compete with someone who had one Tier 2 Spirit, and so on.
However, all that was only easy to say because finding a single Spirit was very difficult, every single one that appeared would be contested even if it was only a Tier 1 Spirit.
Moreover, uniting a new Spirit to the body would be more difficult for those who already had a Spirit.
Unfortunately, Luis didn’t know how to distinguish Tier from Spirit, so he couldn’t be sure what Tier Spirit it was.
Only if it entered his body, only then would he be able to tell through his Statistic Watch.
It didn’t matter now because all he was thinking about was whether he could get the Spirit given that Walker’s group was ahead.
Now he would do this as a lesson.
Next, he himself would search for the Spirit.
"Mm!" He suddenly saw Alice doing something.
When her hand pointed forward, there was a small black hole in her palm. It rotated then suddenly emitted a suction force that was concentrated in a small area but extended forward.
When Alice pointed the black hole towards the spirit, it was suddenly sucked towards her.
In fact, it was sucked in very quickly.
In just the blink of an eye, it reached her palm and she grabbed it.
The spirit tried to escape, rebelling so violently that Alice’s hand was shaken.
However, it was unable to escape from her hand.
"Luis, open your mouth and swallow this, draw in with your Anima!" Alice said in a loud voice.
After that, she directed the spirit into Luis’ mouth which opened spontaneously after hearing her words.
To absorb a spirit, it must pass through the mouth and then be pulled with the Anima which can be done by any Awakener.
When the pull from Luis’ mouth became stronger, Alice released the Spirit from her hand.
Soon it began to enter his mouth, shrinking into a wisp of light.
This was rather easy since he didn’t have the Spirit yet.
Walker and the others could not have been more surprised.
The most surprising part to them was the fact that Alice gave the spirit to Luis.
Of course, Alice’s trick was something they seriously thought about.
It was indeed not a black hole like the aftermath of a star explosion because if it was like that, it would be too terrifying.
It was just that, even though it was small, it could attract something far away from it.
With such an ability, who could win in terms of fighting over something with her.
Walker’s expression could not help but become ugly, feeling he was being played.
DING!
(You obtain a Tier 2 Spirit, Black Diamond Armor, a spirit that allows you to summon diamonds in the form of armor that will protect your body from any kind of attack!)
(Your Estimated Power increases by 500 due to the existence of your Tier 2 Spirit!)
[Name: Luis Moonvale]
[Level: D]
(Energy: 202,160/200,000,000)
[Estimated Power: 1650]
[Body: General]
(Spirit:
- Black Diamond Armor <Tier 2>
Luis instantly experienced an increase in power when he obtained the Spirit.
It was a Tier 2 Spirit so the increase in power reached 500.
If it was just a Tier 1 Spirit, his power increase at this Level D would probably be less than 200.
It was just that, this spirit seemed to only focus on defense.
Only defense, Luis wasn’t sure how to react.
He would probably be like Bluestone who basically only had a very strong defense.
Perhaps the defensive power of this Diamond Armor was on par with that Bluestone.
Unfortunately, Luis felt somewhat dissatisfied.
He would have preferred a Spirit with a powerful attack like Alice.
Crack!
He directly used the Spirit’s power which caused his bones to make a creaking sound.
After that, his body was suddenly covered by a black armor that fused with his skin.
The armor was similar to a knight’s armor, complete with a helmet.
However, the best part was made of diamonds that were black in color, reflecting the light that hit them.
Although the armor was huge, to him it felt so light that he was sure it would not interfere with his movements at all.
He could feel a very strong sense of security with the armor.
Shua!
He removed the armor from his body which only took one thought from him.
"Let’s go!" Alice suddenly tore through the dimension before entering it.
She did not seem to be planning on collecting the Monster Core from the Black Titans.
If they were left for too long, they would probably be kept by the remaining Black Titans.
However, Luis needed to follow Alice first even though he was somewhat unwilling to leave the Monster Cores behind.
He entered the dimensional rift Alice created and then appeared in the original world, but of course inside the mine shaft.
Before he could move, he found that Walker and his subordinates had also returned, but the man had already shrunk the size of the snake.
He looked at Alice, filled with doubt and then asked, "Alice, why did you give that spirit to him?"
