I Can Transform Into Any Monster-Chapter 37: Hearts
Chapter 37: Hearts
"I want to meet someone from the empire to trade here. Would you like to come along to see?" said Alice.
She did not try to keep her purpose a secret from him and did not mind taking him with her.
Luis naturally nodded.
"I want to see what this place is like," he said.
"Okay, follow me!" Alice then got out of the car and started heading towards the entertainment venue building.
Since it was noon and not even noon, the venue was only open in the karaoke room section.
Most of the pathways in the building were closed and Alice took Luis to the fifth floor which was divided into many hallways where each had many doors.
There was a room with an open door and inside Luis saw many beautiful women dressed in revealing clothes.
Occasionally some of them were called and brought into a karaoke room by some men.
Luis even saw some who were the same age as him and some who were younger.
It happened to be only noon. If it was night, he knew there would be more LCs around his age.
They were watching him and Alice curiously.
Only, Alice seemed to already have a destination after she took a quick look at her phone.
She entered one of the hallways before stopping in front of one of the doors in the hallway.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
She then knocked on the door which was immediately opened by a beautiful young girl.
Aside from the young girl, there was a handsome blonde-haired man who looked to be in his 30s behind the door.
He was wearing casual clothes with a shirt that had half of the buttons undone, sitting on the sofa while smoking a long cigar.
He raised his hand when he saw Alice.
"Please come in, Miss Alice," he said and glanced at Luis who stood behind Alice for a moment.
According to Luis’ own observations, he was not actually an Awakener.
He was just an ordinary human despite being from the empire.
Luis couldn’t help but wonder what his status was so that he could trade with Alice.
Maybe he’s the right-hand man of a certain figure.
Alice then entered the room, followed by Luis as he would follow her anywhere.
The young girl then exited the room and closed the door.
There were two sofas opposite each other in the room, each of which was large, fitting four or five people though.
Alice sat in front of the man while Luis sat on the same sofa as her but at the other end because he just wanted to watch her trade, wondering what exactly they were going to trade.
From the atmosphere, it seemed like it would be an illicit trade since even the young girl had to come out.
Although this was a karaoke room with various facilities for singing, it was not used at all.
"Mr. Lior, I have four hearts here, are you really going to pay 500 Million Dollars for all of them?" said Alice, surprising Luis.
Hearts? Four hearts? 500 million dollars? What kind of heart was that?
As far as he knew, heart trading was a thing of the past.
In the current era, even in Velos, no one needed a heart transplant anymore because those who were rich could buy artificial hearts from the empire as a replacement for their original hearts.
Meanwhile, the man whose name was Lior nodded lightly.
He took out his cell phone, opening the banking app.
"I’ll send the money now and leave the hearts to me," he said.
He had already set up the money transfer, now only needed to take a photo of the QR code of the account that would receive the money.
Alice quickly showed the QR code.
After that, 500 Million Dollars went into her bank account.
She then took out a suitcase made of glass.
It was not as simple as a suitcase because inside was a green liquid and in the green liquid, Luis saw four human hearts that were still beating.
Although in appearance they were no different from a normal human heart, Luis immediately knew that they were different because he vaguely felt a strong aura from the four hearts.
They were probably the hearts of Awakeners of a fairly high level.
However, he still did not know why they could be sold.
Lior quickly picked up the glass case before making it disappear in his hands as he transferred it to his Dimensional Artifact.
"Miss Alice, it’s been a pleasure doing business with you. You can always provide the items we want to buy," Lior said, looking pleased to Alice.
He even poured her a cup of wine.
"Have a drink, Miss Alice," he said.
However, Alice shook her head.
"Mr. Lior, there are still things I want to do, so I’ll be going now," she said as she stood up and motioned for Luis to follow her.
Luis naturally followed her.
When they came out of the karaoke room, the young girl from before entered again.
Of course, Luis had no interest in caring about her.
He was only focused on Alice, wanting to listen to her explanation.
"Do you know now the fastest way to get money," the woman said to him after they got on the elevator.
"Alice, what is he going to use those hearts for?" Luis asked.
Of course, he knew now that it was one of the fastest ways to make money.
Only, he also needed to know why.
"They are the hearts of Level C Awakeners and they are all from the empire’s population," Alice replied.
"If those hearts are transplanted into other imperial residents, they have a high probability of Awakening with the same Spirit as the heart owner," she continued.
"The condition for a successful transplant is the similarity of blood type with the heart owner. Imperial residents have a different blood type than we do, so they can’t use Velos residents’ hearts, only their own. Of course, this is illegal, but it makes a lot of money and can give great power to the people who receive the hearts, so there are many illegal transactions. As long as you get the heart of an Imperial Awakener, you can offer it on the black market and someone will come to buy it. The minimum requirement is that it is the heart of a Level C Awakener, below that it is useless."
Luis nodded his head at Alice’s explanation.
This was new information to him. He had never heard of this at all except now.
Alice was not wrong in saying that this was the fastest way to make money.
If he earned 300 Million Dollars more, he could actually directly purchase the Monster Cores to fulfill his energy to advance to Level C.
However, who could easily talk about killing a Level C Awakener.
Alice, Walker, they were the Level C Awakeners Luis had seen and they were really strong.
Even if one can defeat them, killing them is not that easy.
Compared to monsters, killing humans was actually much more difficult.
They benefited from their small bodies plus having intelligence that helped them to find solutions to avoid danger.
Basically, killing humans is easier to do by humans themselves with lethal attack skills like Alice.
Perhaps among the monsters, the Death Knight King was the best choice.
Only, it’s not just killing, but stealing the heart.
"Alice, if an Awakener dies, will the heart stop beating immediately?" asked Luis.
"Of course, it will die even if you don’t damage the heart," Alice replied. "If you want to get the heart like I did, all you have to do is capture an Awakener or make him paralyzed. After that, you can take the heart, but you still need to learn where you cut to avoid damaging the heart you want to take. After that, you can put the heart into the Potion of Life to keep it alive."
"It’s harder than i think," Luis said with a wry smile. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
Even as the Death Knight King, he thought it would still be difficult to get the heart of a Level C Awakener.
"I’ll give you some videos on how to take an Awakener’s heart," Alice said before sending the videos to Luis’ cell phone.
Some of the videos were animated and some were actual videos recorded live.
In one of them, Luis saw that the hand that took the heart was Alice’s own.
This woman cannot be judged by her appearance.
She actually had a cruel side too.
When he saw those videos, Luis thought the problem of taking the heart out of someone’s body was not that difficult.
The hard part was just catching or paralyzing a Level C Awakener.
Not long after, Luis and Alice were in the car again.
This time, Alice finally drove the car to their school.
She didn’t look different at all despite the fact that she had just received 500 Million Dollars.
When they arrived back at the school, Luis found something strange.
He actually saw many students from the imperial high school gathering in front of the gates of his high school.
This was something that never happened, of course he was astonished, wondering what made them gather there.
Even Alice herself looked confused.
