I Only Want To Kill-Chapter 45: First Lieutenant
Chapter 45 - 45: First Lieutenant
"You heartless bastard!"
Dimon thrashes the poor girl's neck. Blood spurts out like fountain water, and she falls to the ground, twitching and struggling in pain.
Dimon disappears in a smoke, the black beam misses him, but it continues to go inside of the barricade.
"No one can escape my sight."
Blaze clenches his jaw, focusing all his mental power on the Destruction Beam.
The black beam bolts inside of the stronghold fly past all the goons and innocents inside.
"Stray bullet!"
"Get down!"
And then the girls scream for their lives, and everyone inside scatters into chaos, trying to avoid the beam of death.
The black beam dashes in a zigzag pattern, going around all the people without even grazing them.
A puff of smoke materializes, and Dimon appears just in time to meet the Destruction Beam.
"No way!"
He disappears again, this time teleporting to the metal stairs outside the window, the fire emergency exit.
The beam follows him, breaking through the window.
"Get lost!"
Dimon disappears again, this time teleporting to the backyard of the building.

From here, he can see all the girls that William and Rae are rescuing.
The captives recognize him. He is a notorious menace and abuser inside the Roof. Everyone is afraid of him.
Whenever they did something wrong, Dimon was there to punish them.
His teleportation ability becomes an omniscient symbol inside the Roof.
No one can hide from Dimon. He will find you, and he will hurt you.
His name is pronounced similar to 'diamond' but behind his back, they all call him 'demon' instead.
Because he is a demon inside and out.
Everyone runs away when Dimon appears, they try to get as far as they can from him.
His presence means nothing good to them.
"It's the demon!"
"Get out! Get out! Get out!"
"Heh?!"
Dimon smirks. He finds joy in the way people are afraid of him.
It's just like they were only subhuman compared to him, only ants in a yard to crush.
This moment of thought ruins him as the Destruction Beam has caught up.
It pierces through Dimon's stomach, his insides fall out like a pig being gutted.
Dimon vomits blood, smoke materializes as he tries to teleport away again.
The black beam turns back and, once again, pierces through his body. This time it makes a hole inside his shoulder, disrupting his teleportation.
But that isn't the end. It comes back several more times, digging out holes after holes on his body.
Dimon becomes a lifeless puppy and falls down to the ground.
The beam comes back one last time, slicing him from the middle of his head right through his groin. Dimon's body is cut in two.

Then, the black beam finally disappears.
All the people around are shocked by the scene. Their faces lose all their color. Someone is even vomiting.
They are disgusted by the execution, but none pity the demon.
He has done far worse and to far too many people. They all think he deserves it.
A captive girl suddenly laughs out loud. She laughs like a mental patient. She laughs until her tears appear, and she begins to cry.
"You die good... Die good..."
The girl whimpers and speaks nonsense. Some of her friends console her, they are hugging each other.
It's the only thing that they could do in the Roof. Enduring the pain and shame and then comforting each other.
Back at the first floor, the people in the stronghold look out the window, only to see the horrifying death of Dimon.
He was a true B-rank Awakened. A strong one, in fact. It is not easy to kill him even with heavy firepower.
His teleportation makes him a sly fish that is hard to catch.
But it is nothing to compare with that black beam. It chased him to the end of Earth and executed him in the most painful way possible.
Thunder roars, and the barricade breaks into pieces. The wall is also crushed completely.
From the smoke and dust walked out a shadow figure with a white face and red eyes. It looks terrifying and strikes fear into the hearts of men.
Blaze looks no different than a God of Death.
His presence is even more enhanced with the two winged humans behind him. Two half-naked men with giant pairs of blue wings behind their backs.
For some reason, they look otherworldly, godlike, and out of their understanding.
Standing beside Hugo and Anton is the girl that was being held hostage. Her throat was cut, but with a sip of the Blood Potion, her neck closed immediately and her wound healed to perfect.
There isn't even a scar on her neck.
She runs to the other girls when Blaze enters.
The first goon drops his blade and kneels down.
"Please spare me!"
Then many more follow. The sound of metal dropping on the ground keeps ringing. Machete, knife, bat, and handguns, one after another, fall to the ground.
Their head touches the ground, and the goons do not dare to look up.
The only ones who are still standing are the captive girls.
They all are looking at him intensely.
The term 'superhero' comes from their history. Back then, not everyone had superpowers. Only a few special individuals possessed it.
These individuals used their power for good. To protect the people, to attack the bad guy, and to build hope.
Hope for a better tomorrow.
But this term has been twisted with time as more and more people become an Awakened. Now, it only means those who registered their power to the Awakened League.
Almost everyone has superpowers. Almost everyone is called a superhero.
Then, no one is a superhero anymore. It has become an ordinary title, no different than a manager of a restaurant.
People have soon lost hope in this term.
But there he stands, Blaze Singer, with his less than positive appearance and antagonistic behavior.
He killed the man in a cold-blooded and gruesome fashion.
But in the captive's eyes, he is, now, a true superhero.
Blaze takes a look around the room. All the goons are scared to death. None even try to attack him.
At the end of the day, they are still nothing more than normal people.
People who decide to become criminals to harm others for their benefit.
Maybe someone else will show them a better way. To guide them into the right path again.
To try and become a good man.
This someone, unfortunately, is not Blaze.
"Kill yourselves."
Blaze simply says. The goons are terrified already, no need for him to use the Hidden Power Fear.
He can use Voices straightaway and deliver them to death.
And the goons pick up their weapon on the floor and start to commit suicide. They stab their weapon into their flesh.
For blunt weapons, they hit themselves on the head repeatedly until they are dead. If they don't, they will keep bashing their skull onto the floor to make sure the job is done.

[...]
The girls are horrified. They cover their faces to not look at the bloody scene.
But some hold on and try to witness the scene. These men have violated them over and over, treating their bodies like merchandise and their dignity like trash.
They want to see them die.
They have dreamed about a scene like this for many, many nights.
"You girls can go down to the ground floor. There are people that can help you."
Blaze says.
The girls brace themselves and slowly walk out of the room.
They all look at Blaze intensely when they walk past him. It's as if they want to engrave his appearance to the end of time and never forget it.
A girl says: "What's your name, sir?"
Blaze looks over to her. The girl jumps a little, afraid that something may happen.
But answering her is only a soft, gentle voice.
"I am the Wraith."
