The current Kyle Leonard was often dangerous. With a cliché reason: She couldn’t tell when he would plant a kiss on Noah. The normal nagger switched to butler mode, changing his attitude every time without a moment’s notice. And when he did change his attitude, it took such a long time to let her go.

But he was not going to kiss her in front of this representative of cuteness and innocence. She quickly recovered her shamelessness.

“You’re a bit early today. What made you rush out of the office?”

“The trial is almost over. Seems you too are almost done with what you have to do. More important than that, are you catching a cold?”

“No, I am not,” she exclaimed, nodding her head with confidence. One fairy that had escaped from subspace and clung to her back was in the middle of diligently performing its healing magic on her. The annoying tingling feeling in her nose was gone, and her glossy eyes from before were now clear and smooth. Her confidence soared alongside her energy.

“It’s the truth. You’d know right away if you came and put your hand on my forehead.”

But those words might be her mistake.

She thought he was about five steps away, but he was right in front of her after only three. It was such a short time that there had been no time to feel a sense of crisis, and the movement of Kyle raising her chin slightly was very calm.

Even worse, so was the light touch of his lips.

The series of events was so natural, it wasn’t until after Kyle released her lips that she realized she had been kissed. Soon after, she was shocked to realize that she had blinked only once during it. When did he get so good at this…?

“You don’t seem to have a fever.”

The fairy that had escaped between the open subspace landed lightly on Kyle’s hand; his hand that still held Noah’s chin up.

He shifted his eyes to the fairy, then back to her face. Realizing it had been secretly using its healing powers on her, he humbly criticized her.

“You shouldn’t just play tricks like this, Noah. That nap was also a lie, huh?”

“…was scared that you would worry about me.”

“Then you don’t have to overdo it.”

Kyle sucked his teeth as he lowered his hand from her chin. He fell back half a step neatly enough to overshadow what Noah had been nervous about for a moment. Unlike the past few times when they kissed, it was an attitude that she was only going to give five stars this time.

If he had wanted to measure her temperature, he should have just touched her forehead. Why had he kissed her lips? Why was he so satisfied with her natural reaction? Those kinds of thoughts circled around inside her mind. But nothing really made sense. In the end, what Kyle said was something she thought was quite calm.

“Are you going home right now? Hold on. I’ll bring a few books.”

But upon seeing Kyle’s expression, Noah knew he had realized her mistake. The problem was ‘home’. Lendia Annex. The place where she nestled at.

“Noah. Your standards are very unique, too.”

“What do you mean?”

He gave a small laugh.

“With me guarding you like this, it doesn’t matter if I go home?”

Noah had nothing to say. She blamed Penelope and Paul for confiscating and searching Eleonora’s mansion, which had previously been her home. Of course, since that too had been an order from this man, it was impossible to blame those two.

Kyle shrugged his shoulders as if he’d read everything inside her. Then in a laughing tone, he asked Muell for a favor: “Let’s go for now. Muell, teleport.”

Muell, who had been watching everything between Kyle and Noah with his eyes wide open, smiled brightly. Looking down, Noah saw a sparkling orb surrounding her and Kyle.

And when her hair gently rose into the air along with the flow of the magic and then slowly fell, their surroundings completely changed.

If she had to argue, it was indeed a strange event. Adrian’s trial had yet to begin, even before the replica project had been marked with an official closing mark.

Noah, an important witness in this situation, didn’t have many places to stay. Even worse, she was attracting all types of attention because she was a dragon master.

At first, she had thought of a VIP room in the main building of the Protection Bureau, but Kyle nailed it in her brain that it would never work. There are a lot of things that get in the way and even more things one should never do once they’re at work. Though she didn’t know what those things were.

Noah murmured sulky, stirring an egg over a fire with a whisk, “I think I’m too caught up in you, Kyle.”

“I haven’t done a thing.”

“Yeah right, you seduced me by telling me to come eat at your home.”

“You’ll burn yourself if you get too close to the fire, Noah.” Kyle grabbed her shoulder and gently dragged her away from the stew boiling in the pan. “Don’t stand directly in front of it, stand over her with Muell and fix the pie dough. I asked you to stay at my house for a while for a reason.”

The reason was obvious. But as always, she felt it was unfair. She muttered, holding up the rolling pin with dissatisfaction, “But why did I follow you…”
