Chapter 1403 - Adrielle And Fiona

"Big brother, why are you so slow!" Adrielle ran up to Genos and complained discontentedly.

"How can you blame me for that! The thing you wanted was too hard to find." Genos said as he took something from his subordinate and handed it to Adrielle.

Adrielle took the item and looked at it, then happily thanked Genos. Only then did Yuga clearly see that it was a Pokémon sticker, and it was a limited edition one.

Pokémon stickers are items that are attached to Poké Balls and can create special effects when the Pokémon is released. In the past, they were mostly used by Coordinators during Pokémon Contests, but now they have also become popular among ordinary Trainers.

Obviously, Genos hadn't told his sister the truth, but instead used the excuse of buying her Pokémon stickers to make a trip to the training center. If there was nothing wrong with him, then why would he lie to his sister?

Genos's actions only further solidified Yuga's determination to keep an eye on him.

Soon, Genos and his sister got into a car and left the place. Yuga immediately had Gengar take him to follow.

This time, Genos and his sister went to their home.

As a former noble household, the place where Genos lived was naturally not simple. Its land area was comparable to that of Master's estate, and it was even more luxurious than the estate.

Originally, Yuga had planned to go inside and take a look, but he quickly dismissed the idea because he saw a lot of patrols in the shadows—Zubat, Golbat, and Crobat.

If it had been other Pokémon, it might have been fine, but it just had to be these three, which "see" things using sound. Yuga definitely didn't want another situation like the one at the training center where he had startled them.

Even if he didn't go in, it would still be the same. If Genos really had connections with Team Radiance, he would come out eventually—it's impossible to stay hidden at home forever.

Since Yuga decided to personally keep watch on Genos, he handed the task of monitoring the training center over to Ryuichi.

After calling Ryuichi, Yuga began his stakeout near Genos's house.

Just like his Master's estate, Genos's home was not located in the center of Mauville City—it was in a very remote area, so there was no shortage of hiding places.

He even released some of his own Pokémon to make up for any blind spots in his own surveillance.

Yuga waited like this for three days. During these three days, Genos never came out even once. Only the servants in the mansion would frequently go in and out to purchase supplies.

Three days later was the day when Kyoichi and Kyouji, the two brothers, were scheduled to meet the leader of Team Radiance. However, that day Ryuichi had kept an eye on the training center all day and hadn't seen anyone suspicious coming or going.

The training center remained as desolate as ever—not a single visitor showed up during that time.

It wasn't until nightfall that Ryuichi contacted Yuga and reported the matter to him.

Yuga immediately guessed that it was most likely because he had previously triggered the alarm and startled the enemy, which also further confirmed that the owner of that training center had undeniable ties to Team Radiance.

However, he didn't plan to give up on surveilling the training center just like that. After telling Ryuichi to continue monitoring the place, Yuga hung up the phone.

On the fifth day, Yuga finally noticed a vehicle quietly driving out from the back door of the mansion. The person sitting in the car was none other than Genos, who was dressed very inconspicuously.

What surprised Yuga was the middle-aged man accompanying Genos. The moment Yuga saw him, he felt he looked very familiar. He thought for a long time before finally remembering the reason.

Previously, he had participated in a raid on one of Team Radiance's bases. There had been an old man in that base who looked very much like this middle-aged man.

If that old man were a bit younger, he and this middle-aged man would look as if they had been carved from the same mold.

That old man had apparently held a fairly high status within Team Radiance. When he was captured, the League had recovered a lot of important documents from him.

Now that someone who looked so similar was appearing at Genos's side, Yuga did not believe it was a coincidence.

The middle-aged man drove Genos out of the Mauville City area and into a very inconspicuous and secluded little village.

In fact, this wasn't even a real village. Yuga saw many people wearing Team Radiance uniforms there.

At this point, it was completely confirmed that Genos was indeed a member of Team Radiance. As for what kind of role he and the White Light Intelligence Agency played within Team Radiance, that still needed further investigation.

Besides that, Yuga also saw someone here that he hadn't seen in a long time—Milolovide, the former second young master of the Rite family.

This greatly confused Yuga. Milolovide was a member of Team Rocket, while Genos was from Team Radiance.

Team Radiance had just given orders for an undercover agent to sabotage the Rocket Team executive Lance's mission, and now they were secretly making contact with their top general, Milolovide. Was the Team Radiance playing a double game?

After Genos and Milolovide entered the village together, Yuga didn't follow them in further, to avoid alerting them. Since he already knew about the connection between Genos and Team Radiance, it no longer mattered whether he kept tracking them.

Yuga instructed Gengar and Mismagius to keep watch over the village while he found a secluded spot to contact Wallace.

Over the phone, Yuga told Wallace what he had discovered. Wallace was extremely surprised.

The White Light Intelligence Agency was well-known in the Hoenn League—of course Wallace had heard of it—but he never expected its leader to be involved with Team Radiance.

Upon learning this, Yuga and Wallace immediately began discussing countermeasures. Their discussion lasted three full days.

During those three days, Genos visited Milolovide in the village once more. Milolovide had not left the village the entire time, and no one knew what kind of schemes he and Genos were plotting.

Three days later, Genos once again left his home and headed to the village. Not long after his departure, his home was quietly surrounded by League personnel, led by Glacia, one of the Four Elites of Hoenn.

At the same time, Yuga joined up with another League unit. Under his guidance, this team also quietly surrounded the village where Genos and Milolovide were located.

Simultaneously, all known outposts of the White Light Intelligence Agency were swiftly and silently taken over by League forces.

Inside a house in the village, Genos, his face grim, was talking with Milolovide when there was a sudden, urgent knock at the door.

"What is it?" Genos asked in a low voice.

"Young Master, bad news! We're surrounded by League forces!" came the anxious voice of a middle-aged man from outside.

"What?!"

"What?!"

Genos and Milolovide both jumped to their feet simultaneously, shouting in disbelief.

"This is what you call not being discovered?" Regaining his composure, Milolovide sneered as he looked at Genos and asked.

"Isn't it because you people were careless and drew the League's attention?" Genos retorted.

But now wasn't the time for blame. The two of them quickly left the room together.

As soon as they stepped out the door, they saw Yuga floating in the air alongside Gengar and Mismagius, looking down on them from above.

At the sight of Yuga, Genos and Milolovide's expressions turned extremely grim—especially Milolovide's.

Originally, Milolovide hadn't been worried about being surrounded by the League. With his strength, escaping wouldn't be difficult, and since this wasn't a Team Rocke base, as long as he got away, nothing else mattered to him.

However, that confidence vanished the moment he saw who had come—Yuga.

No one knew better than Milolovide how troublesome Yuga could be. Escaping from his hands was as difficult as ascending to heaven!

"Gentlemen, long time no see," Yuga said with a half-smile as he looked at them.

"You were the one in the training facility that day?" Genos asked darkly, suddenly recalling something.

"I was," Yuga replied. "I didn't expect to be discovered, but through that I learned that the training facility was connected to you—so it was an unexpected bonus."

At Yuga's words, Genos' face turned even darker. He had thought that by no longer visiting the training facility and even canceling the meeting with his undercover agents, he had covered his tracks. He never expected to still be targeted.

So how did Yuga find out about the training facility?

Genos couldn't help but think of the two undercover agents who had suddenly lost contact.

The sudden disappearance of the two agents he was supposed to meet should have caught his attention, but he'd been too busy lately, and this oversight had led to serious consequences.

If he had known earlier, he would never have gotten so deeply involved with Team Rocket.

"No more talking—are you two going to surrender quietly, or are we going to fight?" Yuga asked again.

Genos and Milolovide exchanged a look, coming to an unspoken agreement to set aside their earlier disagreement and deal with the immediate crisis first.

Seeing that the two had made up their minds, Yuga sighed and said, "Genos, we used to work together. I didn't expect we'd be clashing swords so soon. The world sure is unpredictable!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Gengar and Mismagius unleashed Dark Pulse and Mystical Fire at the two men below.

The moment Yuga's side launched the first strike, the League trainers who had surrounded the village began attacking Team Radiance members.

Meanwhile, things were progressing even faster on the Glacia's side.

Although Genos belonged to Team Radiance, his mansion was mostly staffed with ordinary servants. Only a few of his clan members who lived there were actually in the know.

Of course, there were still some skilled people in the house, but in the face of the elite League forces led by Glacia, they were utterly powerless.

It didn't take long before Glacia led her team deep into the mansion's interior.

In front of a hidden passage, one of Genos's clansmen was desperately trying to persuade Adrielle.

"Young Miss, you'd best leave now. If you stay here any longer, you'll be captured."

"Why? Why is our house surrounded? Where's my brother? Where did my brother go? What'll happen to him if I leave?" Adrielle asked anxiously and with confusion.

"Young Miss, please don't ask so many questions. There's no time left, hurry up and go," the clansman urged earnestly.

"No, I'm not leaving." Without seeing her brother, Adrielle refused to go.

"Young Miss..."

The clansman tried to persuade her again, but it was already too late. The door to the room where the secret passage lay was pushed open, and two League Trainers barged in.

"Y-You... What... what do you want?"

Adrielle who is terrified, looked at the two unfamiliar intruders. She held a Poké Ball in her hands, trembling as she asked. The ball still had a limited-edition sticker her brother Genos had bought her a few days earlier.

"Miss Adrielle, correct? Please come with us," one of the League Trainers said.

Their tone was relatively gentle—they didn't intend to trouble the young girl, and they spoke in a soft, soothing voice.

But Adrielle's clansman didn't accept it. He stepped forward and spread his arms to shield her behind him, while his Crobat beside him launched an attack on the two League Trainers.

However, this clansman was no match for the League Trainers. His Crobat was knocked away in a single move by the Blaziken of one of the Trainers.

"Ahhhhh!!!"

Seeing the unconscious Crobat fall at her feet, Adrielle let out a high-pitched scream.

With her scream, an invisible force erupted from her as the center, instantly blasting the two League Trainers and her clansman out of the room. Even the walls were demolished as the three, along with their Pokémon, crashed through them.

Just as the three were flung away, the entire room collapsed under the force of the explosion. Adrielle was buried under the rubble.

"Young Miss!" her clansman cried out hoarsely, coughing up blood.

However, Adrielle was completely unharmed. The debris covering her suddenly exploded outward, and an Espeon, surrounded by a psychic shield, brought her out unscathed.

At the same time, the two seriously injured League Trainers noticed a bright purple light rapidly flashing in Adrielle's eyes.

It was the sign unique to psychics! The two League Trainers were experienced, and they immediately realized the source of the invisible power just now.

Yet in all the data they had gathered before, there was no mention of Adrielle being a psychic.

Soon, the purple light in Adrielle's eyes stabilized, and her entire demeanor changed dramatically.

The girl who had been trembling in fear had vanished, replaced by a cold and emotionless young lady with icy eyes.

Hovering mid-air with the help of her psychic power and Espeon, she looked down at the two badly injured League Trainers with cruelty in her eyes.

"Miss Fiona..." The clansman involuntarily murmured when he saw Adrielle in this state.

"Espeon, Psychic!"

The girl's cold voice rang out. The jewel on Espeon's forehead suddenly emitted a beam of purple light, aimed directly at one of the incapacitated League Trainers lying on the ground.

At that critical moment, a blue-and-white beam appeared out of thin air, intercepting Espeon's Psychic attack.

Boom!

A blast rang out in the air as the two attacks collided and canceled each other out in a draw.

"Elite Four Glacia!"

Seeing the newcomer, the two League Trainers cried out in joy. Glacia had appeared at some point not far away, accompanied by a floating Glalie.

The Ice Beam that had intercepted Espeon's Psychic just now had come from this Glalie.

"Miss Fiona!" the clansman once again cried out in concern.
