I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse-Chapter 462. Meeting
Chapter 462: 462. Meeting
"Is this research approved by the base?" Dylan asked another question he was wondering about.
Mark glanced at Dylan and shrugged. "Do you think they’ll dare to do such research without the approval of the base? The higher ups only cared about whether they could get more powerful awakened and didn’t care too much about the cost and the process."
Because of the threat coming from these big mutated animals out there, there were many people who wanted to become stronger.
And only when they become stronger would they be able to possibly fight these big mutated animals.
As for the method to grow stronger?
The method from the liquid could be said to be the normal way to get stronger and also the safest one. Because if they were to consume these, they could recover their ability and then train again.
But at the same time, this method was too slow.
At least, it was indeed very slow until Anna came forward to the research institute and then told them her way to make the higher concentration liquid. This had hastened the progress of improvement for many people and for Anna, it just meant that she obtained a lot of contribution points that she might not be able to use for the rest of her life.
Speaking about contribution points...
Even Anna was troubled by the fact that she had so many contribution points but didn’t know how to use it.
For her, it seemed to be so easy to obtain but other people might not be able to get it in their entire life. But it was all also due to her contribution that she was able to obtain so much contribution points.
Without her telling these, it was unknown how much time would be needed for the research institute to realize that the plant ability could also do things like this.
But that was not enough.
Even though they were able to hastened their progress, these big mutated animals were even faster. The attack not long ago seemed to prove that these big mutated animals were stronger than humans.
At least, stronger than majority of humans.
This sounded the alarm bells in the higher ups.
They knew that if they couldn’t settle these big mutated animals before they grow even stronger, then humanities would be in danger.
No one wanted to see that happened.
So they were all working as hard as possible to make sure that they were able to do something.
One of them was through this research.
By having them figure out another method to get stronger and advancement, the higher ups hoped that there would be more awakened humans who were very powerful. It was only in this way that they could possibly contend against those big mutated animals.
At least, they hoped that way.
"Right." Dylan only sighed.
Everyone wanted to become stronger and the most important thing was that the price they needed to pay was something that many people might be willing to give. Hell, some of them even willing to give up their own life for the sake of obtaining power.
Because they didn’t’ want to be bullied by these big mutated animals.
Or because they simply wanted to take the revenge against these big mutated animals.
Even if the chance was low, they wanted to take that chance in order to get stronger and become much more powerful.
Because only in this way would it be possible for them to do what they wanted to do.
"Come on, the girls are going to ravage Kitty if this continued." Mark saw what Lucy was doing and didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
When the two of them turned to the side, they saw Lucy had basically messed up Kitty’s fur and the cat was squirming in protest. Since Kitty didn’t want to hurt the girls, he could only restrain his strength.
But at the same time, he felt rather aggrieved.
What should he do to escape from the clutch of Lucy?
Anna laughed at Lucy and Kitty and then stretched her hand. "Come on, put Kitty down. He’s not going to be too happy with you holding him all the time."
"I just miss this fluffy cat." Lucy pouted but she finally put Kitty down.
"meow!"
Kitty protested by moving behind Mark’s leg. As for why it was not Dylan... it was because Kitty knew that Dylan would not be happy with him behind the other party and would end up kicking him.
Kitty refused being kicked!
So he picked Mark.
At the very least, this Mark had no reason to kick him.
Dylan shook his head. "We’re going out to hunt some big mutated animals, shall we go together?"
"Sure." Lucy was happy. "We only need to call Alan and Lidia. The two of them are training in other area."
Alan had a specialized field for his training because his lightning could technically harm many people if he were not careful enough. On the other hand, Lidia was not awakened, so she trained along with the other soldiers who were also not awakened.
The team might be going together.
But when it was training, they often go to different training field.
"Do you use any car?"
"No, we’re going there walking." Dylan glanced at Mark and then remembered something. Lidia and Alan didn’t know about Anna’s space. "I’ll trouble you to carry the big mutated animals’ corpses."
Anna heard Dylan’s words and nodded.
The others agreed and they went their separate ways first because Mark and Lucy would use the military car.
They would meet at the gate.
When Anna and Dylan walked out of the gate, they looked at the group of people on the side.
"That’s the Davis Family’s recruit," Dylan said and his eyes narrowed slightly. "How ambitious."
Anna nodded and swept her gaze casually. Her eyes landed on the light red haired man at the front and her eyes narrowed slightly because she recognized him.
Jake Stafford.
