[Uchiha Madara: I was starting to think that kid was gonna stay in that tree forever!]

Makoto looked at Gaara with a casual smile and said, "Alright, now that everything's settled, let's get going!"

Then, with a smirk, he added, "You know, you could try smiling once in a while. Maybe be a little nicer to your siblings?"

"Don't wait until it's too late and end up regretting it."

With that, Makoto turned to leave, brushing past Temari as he walked. "I'll be heading out first," he said offhandedly.

Temari felt her face heat up at his words. 'Why is he telling that to me? What's with this guy?'

As Makoto started walking away, Naruto furrowed his brows, glancing between Gaara and his siblings.

"Wait a second... They're actually family? And this guy treats his older siblings like that?" Naruto scoffed.

"Man, this guy has a serious attitude problem! Family is supposed to stick together! I just don't get it."

Before they could go any further, Gaara's voice rang out from behind them. "Remember my name, Gaara of the Sand.

"One day, I'll kill you myself"

Makoto didn't bother turning around. He simply waved a hand dismissively. "Makoto. If you're so eager, feel free to try."

Gaara's expression darkened instantly. His face twisted with rage. "I will kill you!"

Makoto didn't react, but Naruto and Sasuke sure did. Both of them turned back to glare at Gaara.

"Oi," Naruto snapped. "If you wanna go after Makoto, you'll have to get through me first. Naruto Uzumaki!"

Sasuke, standing beside him, locked eyes with Gaara, and in an instant, his Sharingan flared to life.

"Look closely," Sasuke said coldly. "Remember these eyes. Whoever you are, know this. Keep your head down in Konoha. Otherwise, I won't mind showing you what an Uchiha can really do."

After throwing out those parting words, Naruto and Sasuke turned and followed Makoto. Shikamaru, hands behind his head, let out a long sigh before trailing after them.

"What a drag..."

Still, he glanced back at Gaara and added lazily, "Just a friendly warning. Keep things low-key while you're in Konoha. Don't go looking for trouble."

With that, the group strolled off, taking Konohamaru along with them. Meanwhile, Gaara stood frozen, his gaze locked onto Makoto's retreating back, his eyes dark with menace.

Kankuro wiped the sweat from his brow but said nothing, sensing the tension in the air. Temari, on the other hand, was fuming, though not entirely at Gaara.

'That damn bastard!' she thought, cheeks still warm. 'First, he had the nerve to pat my head like I'm a kid, and now he's made my brother his enemy! But... why is my heart beating so fast?'

[Uchiha Madara: Hah! Now that's what I like to see! You brats are really something!]

[Uchiha Izuna: Especially Sasuke! Now that's an Uchiha for you! "Remember these eyes. Whoever you are, know this. Keep your head down in Konoha. Otherwise, I won't mind showing you what an Uchiha can really do." Perfection! That line hit deep! Hahahahaha!]

[Hatake Sakumo: These kids have been hanging around Makoto for too long... They're starting to act like a bunch of delinquents.]

[Senju Tobirama: And what's wrong with that? A Konoha shinobi should be strong and fearless!]

[Hyuga Hizashi: If that fight had actually broken out, Sasuke could have taken all three of them by himself. Even if Gaara has a Tailed Beast inside him, I doubt he could've handled Sasuke.]

[Uchiha Madara: No chance. The Uchiha's Mangekyō Sharingan is a natural counter to the Tailed Beasts. That brat wouldn't stand a chance!]
